This could be a possible scene in my new oneshot. We all just need some fluff in our life~~

This will need some context for why he is proposing with a stuffed cat. So, in my universe, Kirumi had a stuffed cat that Kane brought her when she was younger. The cat was dear to her and was a huge comfort in her horrible home situation. Unfortunately, he was torn apart and burned in front of her, the day the biggest part of her and Kane's backstory happens. (Why Kirumi wears gloves all the time and why their 7yr old sister died)

Ryoma does not have a lot of money when he exits the killing game and for a few years afterwards. But, after Kirumi mentions the cat one time, he has a plan. He works many odd jobs and saves up a lot of money while trying to climb to the top of the tennis world again. Turns out, the cat is really rare, but he buys it and gets someone to modify it, just like the ways she had when she was younger. He hides it until the time comes to propose to her. Now, I headcanon that my man Ryoma is all for sentiment. He got the cat because she would be so, so happy. He uses it in place of an engagement ring.
