A/N: Dang, I'm updating this faster than most of my other stories!!

Luz was conflicted, on one hand her human side loved the rain..

But~... on the other, the rain was like boiling grease, aptly named Boiling Rain.

Not to mention cats don't like none drinking water.

Stuff like rain is like a natural spray bottle from the sky, one that she hated!

So she was hissing at the window, batting at the glass with her teeth bared.

King was sitting on her head, hissing at the rain as well.

King: Vile rain, you shall not have us!!

Eda watched, amused, from the side.

A large figure came walking to the house

Eda, Luz, and King stared as a shielded figure walked in, thankfully protected from the Boiling Rain.

Eda was immediately on guard.

Eda: Who are you?!

The shield went down, revealing a grinning and amused Neo.

Neo: Hey girls, what's up?

Luz: Neo!

Luz was now rubbing against his legs as Eda hastily put her staff down.

Eda: O-oh, Neo!! So sorry, didn't know it was you!

King: This is that Neo guy you 2 are so obsessed with?

Neo leaned down with a smile, being an inch from King's skull head.

Neo: Well hello there fuzzy! What are you supposed to be?

King: I am the King Of Demons!! You shall all fear me!!

It was hard for him to sound serious with how adorable he looked, standing on Luz's back as the girl rubbed against Neo's legs.

Neo: Didn't now Hell cats still existed, they were endangered when I was a kid.

King: I am not a Hell cat!!!

He cutely stomped his foot against Luz's back as Eda smiled.

Eda: Believe me, I checked, he's not a Hell Cat, he's something else.

Neo nodded as he gazed outside at the fields, the ground sizzling from the burning rain.

Neo: Whew, this rain huh? And just as I was playing the world's smallest violin.

Luz: Really?

Neo reaches out his hand, showing the small instrument.

Luz: Huh, didn't know that existed here. I expected something more deadly and somehow alive.

Eda: Well you're not too far off.

Neo: It works too

Eda: Nice.

Luz: You make it yourself?

Neo: Yep.

Eda: So, what brings you here Neo?

Luz: Yeah, doesn't the rain bother you?

Neo: Not really, I can make my own force field and I was on my way here when it started.

Luz: Great!!

King: What, like the one covering the house?

Eda: Please, he's much more powerful than that!

Neo: Nice place you got here Eda, it's cozy.

Eda smiles widely with a small blush.

Eda: Thanks, that means a lot! What do you think of my treasures from the human world?!

She asked, gesturing to all her collected goods around her house. The warlock nodded as he looked around with a smile.

Neo: Nice, personally I like to take food instead of items.

Luz: Really? What kind of food?

Neo has moved to the couch with Luz sitting beside him, her tail waggling side to side in eagerness.

Neo: Stuff like canned tomato sauce or cookies. Just reach in and grab.

Luz nodded with a smile.

Luz: Ooh, you ever try pizza? Or cake?

Neo: Sometimes.

Eda: Pizza?

Luz: I'll tell you later, so, you come here to train us?!

Luz was excited and eager to begin, probably more than Eda was! But not by much.

Neo: Yes, a beginner spell

Luz: Great!!

Eda: Ooh, which one?!

Eda had leaned in eagerly to hear what it may be. Even if it was a beginner spell, anything that Neo had in mind had to be great!

Neo: Combination magic~

Eda gasped as her eyes were wide with surprise and eagerness while Luz was excited, but confused.

Luz: What is Combination Magic?

Eda: Exactly what it sounds like kid!

Neo: You have an apple or some water or ice? I need something to demonstrate with.

Eda nodded as she quickly went to the kitchen, coming back with an "apple" and a cup of ice.

Eda: This work?

Neo: Perfect.

He picks them both up and then levitates them spinning them around till they are intertwined like a tornado after a few minutes neo stops spinning the items and in its place is a cup of apple sorbet.

Luz stared with eyes like galaxies and her tail swishing side to side like a fan on high. Eda had the same eyes with her hands twitching, wanting to know how he did that.

Eda & Luz: So COOOOOOOOL~!!!!!

Neo pulled out a spoon and tried some, moaning at the taste.

Neo: Mmm~, delicious. Want some?

Eda & Luz: Yes!

They shared a surprised look as Neo grinned as he handed one to them to share.

After they finished:

Neo: Now it's your turn.

The 2 nodded as they looked at their selected items.

Eda had a small rock and a action figure, Buff Joe!

Luz has a statue of a tiny bear and a handful of cotton.

Neo: Interesting choices let's see what you can do. You need to focus and merge the two items together in perfect sync with each other.

Eda nodded firmly as Luz smiled and they both grabbed their items and closed their eyes.

Neo watched to see what they could create.

Ever so slowly, 2 tornados formed over the table with their items. The Owl Lady and cat girl kept focused and tried to keep the image in their minds clear.

Neo stared intently.

Soon, the tornado's glowed and their creations were complete!

POOF!!

Eda and Luz's eyes opened wide to see what they had made.

Eda made a small rock like monster action figure with a glowing center.

Luz has turned the small statue into a complete teddy bear!!

Neo: Impressive.

The girls were silent, before grins nearly split their faces.

Eda & Luz: WE DID IT!!

They stood up with a cheer and hugged each other, spinning around. They had wide smiles and continued saying "we did it" over and over.

Neo: Easy ladies.

They calmed down, holding their creations close.

Eda: This is so amazing! I didn't think I'd ever make this!

Luz: Me either!! This is great!

Neo: Can you make them move?

Eda and Luz shared a look as they set their creations down. They began focusing, trying to imagine their figure and bear to move.

Neo watched with interest

T-twitch...

Ever so slightly, the 2 started to stand up, the rock creature before the bear, who nearly tripped had it not been for the rock figure's help. They stood up straight and looked around, stopping at Eda and Luz's concentrating forms, tilting their heads. Neo stared at their moving forms with wide and happy eyes for what the 2 accomplished for their first times.

Neo: Amazing...

The 2 witches open their eyes to look at their creations, the 2 looking back.

Luz: No... way..!!!!

Eda bent down to be at their eye level.

Eda: Can you... understand us?

The rock figure and bear nodded, making the 2 smile widely!!

Neo: You have done well my students.

Luz: This is incredible! It's like we created life!!

She reached down to pet the bear's head, the stuffed toy grabbing her hand, making her silently squeal.

Neo: Do you mind if I stay at least until it stops raining?

Eda: Of course you can! Don't know where'd you sleep though...

She looked around her house in worry. She had only 1 spare room, and Luz was using it for her stay.

Neo: Could I bunk with you?

Eda went red in seconds.

Eda: What?! I-I don't know... I don't e-exactly sleep on a r-regular bed!!

Luz: So what do you sleep on?

King: A nest!!

Eda: KING!!

Neo: Oh like an actual owl?

He asked, both interested and lightly amused.

Eda was red and embarrassed as she rubbed her face.

Eda: Yes...

Luz: Is that why you're called the Owl Lady!

Eda: No!

Neo(thinking): I have a feeling this will be a long day...
