Stretching out of bed like an actual cat, Luz woke up refreshed and ready for the day!

She and King had curled around each other in their sleep.

The small royal demon wouldn't dare admit he liked Luz a lot more with her like a cat as he rested against her stomach and her body around him.

Luz stretches and grooms herself.

From licking her wrist to wipe it over her face, she woke up like an actual animal.

And she loved it!

Then she decided to groom King.

The small creature hummed in his sleep, liking this new form of comfort and grooming.

After waking up entirely, Luz crawled down the stairs to the kitchen to eat the breakfast Eda would be making.

Eda: Sup kitten, how'd you sleep?

Luz brushes around Eda's legs, the witch a little surprised, until her mood softened.

Eda smiles playfully as she had to admit, Luz was adorable like this.

Though if you tell anyone, count your prayers!

Eda reaches down and tickled Luz's head.

Luz: I wonder what my kids will look like.

Eda: Probably small kitten hybrids. Kinda early to think about don't you think?

Luz shrugged.

Eda rose a brow but shrugged herself.

Eda: Alright. So, what do you plan to do today? Try more spells in the book?

Luz: I was thinking I'd introduce you to something...

Eda: A weird human thing?

The last time Luz did that, she went on a 3 hour rant on her Azura book.

Luz: Or should I say someone~

Eda: Someone? Who're you-!!!!

Eda's eyes widened and looked down at Luz's grinning face.

Eda: You... don't mean...?!

Luz: Oh ya~...

Eda reaches down and pulled Luz into a tight, what'd she call it?, Huig?

Eda: Luz, that'll be AWESOME!!! I gotta get ready!!!

She set Luz down and ran up the stairs, the small girl giggling to herself at how excited Eda was.

Luz: Anymore excited and she'll wet herself.

Later:

Eda: Owlbert Express, going once!! Come on!!

Eda shouted with eagerness from outside while sitting on her staff. Luz giggled as she ran out the house to see Eda had put on more makeup and combed her mane of hair.

Meanwhile:

Neo was drinking tea when he heard a knock at the door, making him hum as he set his cup down and went to see who it was.

He opens the door to a sight that made him smile.

There, he saw a grinning Luz and a happy/anxious looking Eda by her side.

Luz: Hi Mr. Neo!!

Neo: Well hello Luz, nice to see you. Who's your friend

Luz: This is my mentor, the Owl Lady!

Eda steppes forward with a wide smile, her gold tooth gleaming.

Eda: Edalyn Clawthorne, and let me say, I'm a HUGE fan of you!!

Neo: Well thanks, good to hear I was afraid I had been forgotten.

Eda has a shocked look.

Eda: Forgotten?! People miss you!! Your work is what inspired me to become a witch!! Oh!!

Eda reaches into her pocket and pulled out the same poster she showed Luz.

Eda: If it's not too much trouble, c-could you sign this for me?

Neo nodded and snaps his fingers.

Eda and Luz watched in amazement at how Neo's signature appeared on the poster in golden light.

Luz has wide sparkly eyes while Eda looked ready to burst from how excited she was.

Neo: Easy ladies.

Eda(thinking): So COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLL~!!!!!!! Suck it Lily!!!

Luz: That is so cool!! So, how're you?

Neo: Pretty good, just relaxing.

Eda shook her head out of her fan girl craze to focus.

Eda: Oh, sorry, are we interrupting?

Neo: Oh no it's nice to have some company again after 20 years.

Eda: Yeah, a lot of people, including me, were sad to see you disappear.

Luz: It alright if we come in?

Neo: Sure!

He lead them inside as he sees Eda's ring.

Neo: Interesting, why didn't your husband come?

Eda: Husband? What're you-!

She looked down at her ring and lightly blushed.

Eda: O-oh no no no, this is just jewelry!! I'm not married!

Luz: No matter how many try.

Eda grinned as she pointed at Luz with a finger gun.

Neo brings them to his living room and holds up his kettle.

Neo: Tea?

Eda: S-sure.

Luz: I'd like one.

The teen casually sat down while Eda carefully did. Her mind was ready to explode with the thought of being in her idol's house. Neo waved his hands and small cups floated from the table and to Eda and Luz's hands with fresh tea inside them.

Neo: So I hear symbol magic has replaced the old ways.

Eda nodded almost stiffly.

Eda: Y-yeah, when the old ways seemed more wild and hard to learn, the Emperor changed it. Apparently it's to both restrict magic usage and make it easier for the younger generation to learn.

Luz stares in surprise at the reasoning of this world's magic.

Neo: Hehe, the old man never liked working hard.

Luz: Master?!?!

Luz sat up, her ears and tail straight in surprise hearing that.

Eda: Yeah, his master was Emperor Belos himself!

Neo : not just that, he's also my father.

!!!!!

Eda and Luz felt their hearts stop in shock, Eda more so when she heard that.

Eda: YOUR FATHER?!?!?!

Neo: Yes.

He said so simply with a wide smile.

Luz: Wait, Eda, you didn't know that?

Eda: Of course I didn't!!! How has no one known this?!

Neo: Why do you think everyone has forgotten me?

Luz: Wait, that's why?! Because your dad is the emperor?

Eda: I-I don't understand!!

Neo: No, he casted a spell to make everyone forget about me.

Luz: He did?

Eda: Wait, if he did, how do I still remember?

Neo: That's what puzzles me...

Neo leaned forward to inspect Eda closer. The Owl Lady was a blushing mess at him being so close. Neo looked over, till his mind flared with a familiar feeling.

Neo: Interesting...

Eda was nervous and embarrassed for what he may have found while Luz watched intently while drinking the tea.

Neo: You have a strange aura to you Edalyn.

Eda: I-I do?

Luz: Is that bad?

Luz was worried and Eda was nervous still.

Neo: I just don't know what it is

Eda gulped as she rubbed the back of her head nervously.

Eda: P-probably nothing! S-say, what did you d-do here exactly?

Neo stood up with a smile and wide arc of his hand towards his house.

Neo: Practice my magic and alchemy.

Luz: Ooh Ooh! I actually made something with Alchemy!!

Luz said excitedly with a raised hand like an excited student. Which is essentially what she is.

To both Eda and Neo.

Neo: Show me.

Luz nodded eagerly as she reached into her bag and pull out the small dragon statue she made the day before. She smiled brightly as she handed it to his outstretched hands.

Neo: Well I'll be. It took me a year to make something like this.

Eda & Luz: It did?!?!

Eda was shocked that her student did something her idol did in a year's time. Luz was surprised that she excelled in something a powerful wizard couldn't do after so long.

Neo: You might just be a prodigy little kitten.

Luz positively gleamed with unkempt joy hearing that. Eda looked at her apprentice in shock and pride.

Luz: Thank you so much!!

Neo: May I show you both something?

Luz and Eda nodded rapidly like happy children on Christmas Day, making Neo smile.

Neo held his glass out shut his eyes and put two fingers to his temple slowly the cup transformed into a glass of wine.

Eda and Luz leaned in with eyes that were positively blinding at the amazing sight.

Luz: What spell is that?! And can it work for other drinks?!

Neo smiled as he took a sip of his new drink.

Neo: It's not a spell, it's a combination of alchemy and telepathy..

Eda: Telepathy?

Neo nodded as he showed them his glass.

Luz: Could I try?

Neo: Go right a head. Think what you to make and visualize it.

Luz nodded as she took the glass and did the same hand movements as Neo did. As she focused, Eda and said wizard watched intently at the glass.

Neo watched with Interest and Eda eagerness for what she'll make.

Luz's brow twitched and collected sweat as the wine in the glass bubbled.

Eda: You can do it Luz!

Luz concentrated as the wine bubbled and became clearer, almost like water. But, it had small mini bubbles in it as the older ones stared at it.

Neo (thinking): What is she making?

Luz sighed as she relaxed in her seat, holding the glass up for Eda to take.

Eda: What is this?

Luz: S-soda...

Eda: Soda?

Neo: What flavor?

Luz: L-lemon lime...

Eda and Neo stared at the glass in confusion.

Eda: You wanna... be the first one to try it?

Neo takes a small sips, Eda and Luz staring at him for what he thinks.

Neo:... it's even cold too.

Eda: Nice work kid!

She said with a pat on Luz's head, the girl lightly purring from it.

Neo: You're a fast learner kid, you might even surpass me before your next birthday.

Luz sat up in surprise with wide eyes.

Luz: I-I could?!

Neo: If Eda allows me to train you.

Eda: I was gonna actually ask if you could train us both!!

She and Luz had wide smiles at that prospect, hoping it could happen.

Neo I'd be happy, to there's no school like the old school!

Eda/Luz: YESS!!!

The mentor and student, or are they both students?, stood up with a cheer, making Neo lightly giggle.

Neo (thinking): It's good to be known again.
