A/N: Let's get it on!!

The morning after, Eda and Luz continued reading more of the book in the kitchen while King casual ate.

King: Why are you reading that old book anyway?

Luz explained wiggling her tail

Luz: Because this great and powerful warlock gave me it!! He also gave me my new ears and tail!!

King: Weh, so what?

Eda: King, he is INSANELY powerful!! Ooh, think I can meet him!!

Luz: Yeah I think so!!

Luz starts craving... fish!

Luz: Mm, anyone in the mood for some fish?!

King: All the time, why?

Eda: You alright there kid?

Luz: Oh yeah, just gonna get some food!

Eda watched with wide eyes as Luz ran out the door and to the water.

She dunked her head in the water.

The water bubbled and splashed around as her head resurfaced, revealing a whole fish caught in her mouth.

She gnawed at her catch eagerly.

Eda and King watched the sight of Luz eating live fish, leaving only the bones on the sand.

Eda: Huh, didn't think she had it on her.

King: Probably remembered that you're cooking today.

Eda gave him a plain look.

Eda: Haha, very funny.

After she finished the fish, she saw a mouse.

Her eyes displayed as her body hunched in a pouncing position with her tail waggling.

She started to chase after it with the intent to catch it.

Luz: Get back here you!

Eda and King watched as Luz ran all over the beach and around the house. It went on for a while, but eventually stopped when the mouse ran into a small hole.

Luz: Well played mouse, well played.

King: I know the pain...

Eda: A small dot isn't the same as chasing an actual mouse.

King: YES IT IS!!!

A bit later:

Eda and Luz were reading pages through the book some more, going to the alchemy section.

Eda: Ooh, turning dirt into gold?! Heck yeah!!

As they did, a Trash Slug washes on the beach.

Eda felt that and stood up with a grin.

Eda: Aha! Perfect!! Come on Luz, time to show you more about what I do with my time!!

Luz closed the book as she, Eda, and King ran out the house to reach the giant slug.

She had pick up the basics of blood manipulation.

All she could really do at the moment was concentrate to make a person freeze solid from their blood stop flowing.

On the beach Luz hissed at the ocean like a real cat.

Eda: Hey, easy girl! The water ain't gonna hurt you!

Luz: I don't trust it...

King: Me too! It's evil!!

Eda: I though you love evil?

King: I love my kind of evil, not that endless pile of blue death!!

Luz starts to nibble the slug, eating small bits and swallowing them.

Her basic instinct's, that being a cat, took over as she only knows that she's eating a fish.

Eda: Yeah~, I wouldn't do that if I were you. This thing is 80% puss.

She said, poking a side of the slug, making it gush random goo.

Luz stops and looks on as eda begins talking, whipping her tongue of the slug puss.

She began explaining the lifecycle of the Trash Slugs and what eventually kills them. Throughout it, Luz nodded along, slightly unnerved with what the creature's diet consisted of.

Luz(thinking): I can't believe I was nibbling at that.

Eda: And I make a mint off what these guys ate. So, get to work!

Eda said cheerily, offering a pickaxe to a nervous Luz.

Luz: I-I think I'm gonna go for a walk...

Eda rose a brow, but shrugged as she went to work.

Eda: Suit yourself, you're missing out!

Luz starts walking through the forest.

She was positively giddy as she felt her ears tingle from the wind and tail casually swish side to side with her footsteps.

Luz: This is so cool!! I hope I can see Neo again soon!!

She said, happy to finally meet a warlock and the gifts he gave her.

She then hears something, her ears twitching.

It felt weird hearing things from 2 sets of ears. Her human ears just heard some light grumbling.

Her cat ears could hear whole sentences and the movement of the trees.

She walks closer.

Luz(thinking): This is cool and weird at the same time.

She moved part of a bush out of the way to see a girl her age. Only thing was that she were a dark robe, had curly dark hair, and her leg and arms sleeves were a dark purple.

She looked closer.

The girl seemed frustrated as she walked around in anger. As she did, she accidentally stepped on a flower, which she immediately felt bad to do.

?: Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!!

Bending down to the flattened plant, the girl made a glowing green circle. The light covered the plant, making it stand up like it was before.

Luz gazed in wonder.

Luz(thinking): Witch Magic!! But, why is she wearing that?

Luz silently gasped to herself in surprise.

Luz(thinking): MAGIC SCHOOL!!!!

A green haired girl rolled up.

?: Whoa!!

The first girl backed away in fear as she was just in time to avoid the other girl and her large cauldron.

She was dressed exactly like the first girl, except she wore a gold star on the left side of her chest.

"Star Student."

Luz looks on in suspense.

The second girl looked at the first with a smug grin.

?: Ah Willow, I see you're trying to pass again. Well I wanna say good luck, but it clearly hasn't worked.

The first girl, Willow, fumed in anger at that jab.

Luz hissed.

If there was one thing Luz disliked was bullies or people believing they're better than everyone else. Having grown up around people like that, she can understand the pain others may go through.

Luz(thinking): Not cool.

Luz continued watching the 2 go back and forth.

It soon ended with the snobby girl walking away, leaving Willow to sulk over a pile of go that was, apparently, her homework.

Luz felt sorry for the girls as her ears dropped.

Slowly, Luz walked out of the bushes to talk to the girl.

Luz: Hey..

Willow jumped a little in surprise and look over to Luz. When she saw her, she was both surprised and blushing with how cute Luz looked.

Willow(thinking): Whoa...

Luz purred a bit.

Luz: Are you OK?

Willow shook her head with a deeper blush.

Willow: Y-yeah, thanks. H-how much of that did you hear?

Luz: Everything, my ears are very sensitive

Willow looked down at her project.

Willow: Sorry you had to see that. I've never seen a cat girl around here before.

Luz started circling a nervous Willow.

Luz sat infront Willow.

Luz leaned her head forward.

Luz: Would you like to pet me?

Willow went even redder as she stuttered a response.

Willow: I-I don't know...

Luz: It'll make you feel better.

Luz brushed up against the young witch.

Willow gulped as she slowly reached down and placed her hand on Luz's head.

Luz: Purrrr~...

Willow somehow blushed deeper as she moved her hand in between Luz's ears while her tail swished side to side.

Luz: Nyan~!

Willow began smiling as she began scratching under Luz's chin.

Willow(thinking): Aw, she's cute!

Luz was enjoying being a cat girl.

Her ears could hear anything, her tail was so soft, and she loves all these head pats and petting.

Luz(thinking): This is so much fun!~

Luz's ears twitched.

Willow: Thanks, this did make me feel better. You have a name?

Luz nodded as she stood up, an inch or so taller than Willow.

Not counting her ears.

Luz: Luz Noceda!

Luz was curious.

Luz: Is there a magic school?

Willow was confused.

Willow: What, you mean Hexside?

Luz: Yes! That!!

Luz hopped in place with excitement.

Her tail standing straight up

Luz: Can I go with you?! Can I, can I, can I?!?!

Willow felt bad for what she'll have to say.

Willow: U-Um, they don't allow n-non students to enter.

Luz's ears plopped against her head in sadness.

Luz: Why are you you so upset?

Willow pointed to the puddle of purple goo beside the spilled cauldron.

Willow: That was my assignment. I had to make a decent Abomination to pass my class... but I couldn't.

Luz felt bad as she looked at the girl and her project.

DING~!!

Luz's ears shot up with an idea popping into her head.

Luz: Maybe I could help!

Willow looked at the cat girl in confusion.

Willow: Help? Help how?

Luz pushes the cauldron right back up and jumped inside.

SPLASH~!!

Willow: Luz?!

Willow ran over to see Luz sit up and was covered in Abomination mud.

Luz: I could be your project!

Willow: Wait, really?!

Luz nodded as she stood up in the pot.

Luz: Yeah! You just say I'm a creature and I act dumb!

Luz said while demonstrating, acting like a monster. Willow hummed as she rubbed her chin.

Willow: Hm, it could work.

Luz's cats instincts didn't like being in the wet pot.

The girl was very tempted to jump out and shake herself clean while clinging to the first dry thing she can find.

But she wanted to help Willow with her project. She can take one day of being covered in wet mud.

A bit later:

Willow pulled the cauldron along with her to class. Peaking out the lid, and excited Luz looked around with wide, beaming eyed.

Luz(thinking): A real magic school!! So cool~!!!

She didn't mind her ears were covered in goo.

She'll in fact need that later on when displaying to show she's a real Abomination to Willow's class.

They arrived at Willow's locker, where said girl stopped.

Willow was grabbing her things. Looking around, she slowly leaned down to peak inside the pot for Luz.

Willow(whispering): How're you holding up Luz?

Luz(whispering): Pretty good! I'm a little wet, and I hate it, but don't worry!

A boy runs into Willow, making Luz hide in the lid.

?: Hey Willow!

Willow: Hey Gus, how's it going?

The boy, named Gus, beamed as he held up a small book of familiar things to Willow.

Gus: Great! I found some new things for my Human Appreciation Club!

Luz rose a brow as she listened in.

Gus continued.

Gus: I'll tell you more later, but first, you ready for class today?

He asked, knowing that Willow struggles in her class. He was slightly surprised to see Willow have a smile.

Willow: Yep! I have a little help this time!

Luz giggled as she lifted the lid high enough to peak out.

Luz: Meow~

Gus jumped at the sound as Willow giggled.

Gus: What was that?

Willow walked over and held the lid up. Slowly rising from the goo, a zombie impression playing Luz stood up.

Willow: Gus, meet my assistant!

Gus stares in surprise at the girl. His surprise turned into shock when he noticed her regular ears.

Luz covered her ears, embarrassed.

Gus: She's a human?!

Willow: Wait, she is?

She had been so distracted by her cat features she didn't even notice.

Luz: I-I'm a hybrid!

It was the only excuse she could come up with. This seemed to pass for the 2 of them.

Willow: Oh, why didn't you say so?

Gus: Yeah, that sounds amazing!

Luz: I wasn't sure if my kind is liked

She said while hiding her cat ears.

Willow: Oh don't worry, it's fine!

Gus: Yeah, we have a lot of variety kids at this school! So, how much do you know about the human realm?!

Gus asked, body next to the pot and notepad at the ready.

Luz: I'm the first of my kind

As far as she knew, but Gus ate it up.

Gus: Fascinating!! Tell me, why do humans wear fewer clothes? Is it hotter where you're from?

Luz: Debatable, but mostly as a form of fashion and or social status.

Gus nodded as he wrote that down at lightning speeds. Soon Willow was dragging the pot through class with Gus following and Luz staying hidden.

After class:

Willow: This is amazing Luz! Thank you so much!!

The 2 had found an empty spot in the hallways to talk. Willow was thanking Luz and the cat girl was drinking some water.

Luz: No problemo Willow!!

Luz then heard a mouse

Her noes twitched as her ears shot up.

Willow: Um, you OK Luz?

The cat girl scanned the area until she noticed the small rodent.

Luz(thinking): Food!!

SPLASH!!

Luz jumped out the pot and chased after the small creature.

Willow: LUZ, COME BACK!!

She caught the mouse soon enough, holding the small creature in her hands.

Luz: Aha! Gotcha!!

?: Ahem...

Luz froze as she slowly looked up. In front of her was the same girl from this morning, and in class.

During that, she learned that her name was Amity.

Luz hissed.

Amity: Hey, you're Willow's Abomination!!!

Luz still hissed as Willow caught up to them. When she saw Amity, she paled in fear.

Willow: On no...

Amity: Ha! I knew you cheated!!

Luz thinking quickly decided to tap into the blood magic.

Luz(thinking): I hope this works!

Holding her hand out, she directed it at Amity.

Amity: What're you-

Luz(thinking): FREEZE!

HRK!

Amity froze solid, her body unmoving completely. Willow stares in shock at the sight.

Willow: What did you-

Luz: MOVE!!

Luz began pushed Willow as they both ran away. As they did, slowly did Amity start moving again.

Luz: I can't believe that worked!!

Willow: What even was that?! I didn't see a glyph circle and she just froze!

Luz: Blood Manipulation!! I'm still learning it, but it should be enough!!

They soon arrived somewhere safe and far away from Amity.

They were panting and sweaty. Luz's mud has completely fallen off but they were at least safe.

Luz: Man, that... was close.

Willow: Y-yeah...

Both were tired from the running but were relieved.

Luz: What now?

Willow: W-well, how long will that spell last?

?: WILLLOOOOOOWWW!!!!!

Luz: Not that long apparently...

Soon, the 2 were surrounded by Abominations.

Luz: What are these things made out of?!

Willow: Magical mud!!

Luz hissed as her magic would be useless he-

Hrk~!!

Luz suddenly hunched forward as her throat started heaving. After a bit, she spit something up.

Luz: HACK!!

(Think Puss in Boots from Shrek 2)

She had coughed up a hairball.

Willow lightly gagged from the sight.

Willow: Ew~...

Luz: Sorry... I didn't know I could do that...

But as she looked closer at the ball of fur and spit, her eyes caught something.

Luz: Is that... a seed?

For sure in it was a seat as big as Luz's palm. Willow shot up hearing that.

Willow: A seed! Give it to me!!

Luz did so, not sure what she has planned.

Willow shivered at the feeling, but held it close. With her other hand, she drew a similar green circle from this morning.

Then, the seed exploded.

FWOOOOM~!!!!

Luz: WHOA!!!

The 2 teens ducked back in surprise as large, thorny vines popped out of the seed and spread all over the school!

Luz: Awesome~!!

She was amazed with how much came from that small seed. But she couldn't Marvel it long as more Abominations showed up.

Willow: Oh boy, you gotta go!!

Luz: What, what about you?!

Willow: Trust me!!

Willow's eyes glowed as she made the vines push Luz pass the Abominations and our the main entrance to the school.

Luz: Ouch, thorns in the tail...

Luz sat up and tried to get back in, but the doors wouldn't budge.

Luz: WILLOW!!

She was too weak to help. So, breaking into a sprint, Luz began heading towards the Owl House to get help.

Luz: Eda, emergency!!

She shouted at the top of her lungs as she made it just in time to see Eda defeat a giant slug.

Eda: Whoa, what's wrong kid?

Luz: Emergency, magic school, need help!!

Eda: Wait, you went to magic school?!

Luz: Yes, and I made a friend but now she's in trouble!!

?: LUUUUUUUUZZ~!!!

Eda and Luz looked over to see Willow and Gus running towards them.

Luz: Guys!!

Luz met Willow half way with a tight hug, happy to see that she was OK.

Luz: What happened?!

Willow backed away with a wide smile.

Willow: It's great!! Bump was so impressed with my plants that he moved me to the nature teachings!!

She said, doing a small twirl as the purple on her legs and arms turned dark green.

Luz: Great, what about me?!

Gus and Willow shared a concerned look.

Gus: You're Uh, kinda sorta... banned.

He said that last part, showing Luz a wanted poster of her.

Eda: THAT'S MY GIRL!!

Luz frowns, her ears dropping flat against her head.

Luz: Oh...

Willow: Hey, don't worry, we'll visit you everyday after school to teach you what we learn!

Gus: And you can teach me about the human world!

Luz looks at the goop in her hand and remembered the alchemy chapter.

"Sacrificing something to make something else."

Luz thought hard as the hoop in her hand took form into something in her mind.

The 3 stared in surprise at the small statue appear in Luz's hands.

Gus was positively salivating as he wrote down page after page of facts.

Willow smiled at the pretty little thing and how it shined in the light.

Eda wanted to see how much that would be worth and if she can do it herself.

Luz: "Magic from the mind is more powerful than from the body, magic and science together can create something amazing..."

Eda: I'll say!!

Gus: Where'd you learn this!

Luz: From a warlock's magic book!

Luz smiles.

With how things are looking, Luz is going to like learning more about magic and the history of the Isles from Eda, her friends, and hopefully Neo!
