Marlin: Interesting...

The small owl said as he watched Luz in Eda's body being interrogated. As he did, the girl sitting before Lilith, he stared at the Coven leader.

Through his special and trained eyes, he could see a familiar aura over her.

It was interesting.

Merlin(thinking): What secrets are you hiding?

He thought as he continued watching the exchange.

Lilith: Come now sister, if you just join the Emperor's Coven the Emperor will remove your criminal record.

Luz: I'm not Eda!!

With the raven haired woman still thinking that Luz was Eda.

Merlin decided to do something.

Merlin sighed loudly.

Merlin: She had better learn from this.

He said while spreading his wings. His chest glowed before going to his mouth.

POOOOOOOOOFFFFF~!!!!

"What in Titan's name?!?!"

"Edalyn, are you doing this?!"

"Don't look at me!"

They shouted as a large smoke screen covered the area.

When the smoke cleared, they could finally see clearly.

Lilith: WHAT?!?! No!!!

She shouted in anger as she saw the lack of her "sister".

Meanwhile:

Luz: THANK YOU SO MUCH MERLIN!!!

She shouted as they began running away.

Merlin: Just so long as you learned your lesson, we shall be fine.

Luz: I owe you SO much birdseed!!

Merlin: That too.

Later:

Neo: Well I hope you all learned a valuable lesson for this.

He said to the swapped trio.

A frustrated and pouting King,

A winded and bashful Luz.

And a blushing red and shy Eda.

King: Yeah yeah whatever.

Luz: Y-yes... ha...

Eda: Yeah, let's say that.

Neo sighed while shaking his head.

Neo: Now it's time get food for you familiars.

He said, looking at the familiars lounging around.

Yami: Bout time, chasing after a screaming King works up an appetite.

Frost: Still worth it!

King: HEY!!

He said in anger as Merlin shook off his dirty feathers.

Merlin: Luz owes me a lot of birdseed.

Luz: Yeah...

Neo: Oh and Eda, don't think I forgot our deal.

He said with a grin at the blushing red Eda in King's body.

Eda: R-right...

King: Promise what?

Eda: NOTHING!!!

She shouted with a bright red face. As she did, Merlin flew in front of Neo.

Merlin(whispering): When you have the time, I have some information I believe is important.

A Few Minutes Later:

Neo: What's the info?

He asked Merlin as they all ate and did their own thing.

Merlin: You know that dark haired leader of your father's Coven, Lilith?

He asked seriously while eating from his bowl of seed.

Neo: Yeah what?

Merlin waved his wing so Neo could move in closer. When the Warlock did, Merlin whispered in his ear.

Merlin(whispering): I can see many magical aura's, including Eda's curse. I saw the same around that woman as she interrogated Luz.

Neo: Really?

He asked with wide eyes as Merlin nodded firmly.

Merlin(whispering): Yes. I'm certain she is connected in some way to why Eda is cursed.

He said, looking at Eda, who was helping Frost eat.

Merlin: Why else would she try and force Eda to constantly join? There has to be something.

Neo: Something is fishy Mr. Wise Old Iwl.

Merlin nodded.

Merlin: Indeed. We should keep a close eye on that woman.

He said, eating a bit more of his seed.

Merlin: But we should be good at the moment with Eda's curse carefully controlled.

Neo: My advanced blockers should hold up longer than the elixir, but it's not permanent.

Merlin nodded while eating a few more seeds.

Merlin: She'd need something to stop the curse entirely. If we knew the exact curse, there may be a cure.

He said while rubbing his beak.

Merlin: But a curse that strong will be hard to track.

Neo: That's never stopped me. After all, I am the best there is, the best there was, and the best that ever will be.

Merlin smiled slightly at the man.

Merlin: Good to hear and you are correct. For now, we should keep this hidden from Eda.

He said, looking at his charge.

Merlin: There's no telling what shall happen if she knew our theory.

Neo: Agreed.

Merlin: So when we have more concrete evidence, we should tell her.

He said, eating his half done birdseed. Neo understood as Eda had a lot to lose from that curse.

Her magic, her home, her free will, and her friends.

Neo: Yes. Hopefully I can get my massage before that.

While it was a joke, it was meant to lighten the mood. Merlin gave him a plain look as he just grinned.

Merlin: Very funny.

He said while shaking his head.

Neo: Hey you know me, even when there was a war going on, the ladies loved me.

Yami: That they did.

He said, flying over and landing on his partner's shoulder.

Yami: You won't believe how many times he had to use the invisibility spell to hide himself.

Neo: Tell me something, did I end up siring any younglings?

The dragon and owl shared a look.

Merlin: Hard to say, mainly since I just know of your powers, nothing more.

Yami: Can tell you right now you probably have scores of children!

He said with a loud laugh as the rest heard it.

Neo: Well there was a saying that I did; "The girls would just be happy the babies would look like me."

Luz and Eda's eyes widened, the Owl Lady had a bright blush.

Luz: I-is he serious?!

Eda nodded, remembering the rumors herself.

Frost: Oh my gosh, I think I heard some mentioning that long ago!

Yami: Yeah, though the girls were crazy.

Neo smiled.

Some things didn't have to change and he was one of them.
