Chapter 3: Lost but Soon Found

It was the next morning after Aaron and Genevieve's date at the garden. He was worried about what had happen to Genevieve that night. He held the white rose in his hand just thinking about her. He couldn't help but wonder how is she right now after other day class students got her.

He suddenly see's her waking by the dayclass building with notebook at hand and gaze controlled. Aaron quickly noticed and went up to talk to her.

Hey, I'm sorry about last night I didn't mean for any of that to happen. How are you?" He rambled.

Genevieve stood there with a confused expression on her face wondering who this stranger was.

"I'm terribly sorry but do I know you?" She asked hesitantly.

Aaron was in shock, he was surprised that she didn't even remember his existence. He soon glance down to one of her arms seeing a bandage. He had a feeling that Oscar didn't just scold her this time.

"You really don't remember me do you? " He asked

"I don't recall meeting you so why would I?" She said unsure

Aaron grabbed her shoulders and looked her in the eyes, he didn't believe for a second that he was forgotten. He knew that this was Genevieve without a doubt, but  he didn't understand why she doesn't recognize him. He took another look in to her eyes and noticed something had changed. Her iris, it seemed to have sparkly golden ribbons drifting in it than her natural golden brown eye color itself. As if her eyes were glowing. Aaron noticed and knew something was definitely wrong with Genevieve. He knew "she" was still awake but she was lost in the dark. He figured that she was still her, but her mind was changed due to some kind of drug, which would explain the bandage on her arm.

"Some kind of amnesia..." Aaron whispered to himself

Genevieve staring clueless at Aaron wondering if she has met him before. Aaron was thinking of multiple solutions to get Genevieve's mind back on track.
He look down and noticed the rose he gave to her that night before she got dragged away.
He took Genevieve back to the garden although it was broad daylight. He made her sit on the bench and he took out the rose. He soon sat down next to her revealing the rose in his hand. She took the rose gently and looked down. Aaron grasped her hand lightly and looked her in the eyes.

"You mean the world to me..." he wholeheartedly stated.

Genevieve's memory flashed before her eyes recalling everything that had happened. She remembered the note, date, her tears, the rose, and definitely the needles. However, she could not realize what was happening right now. Lightheaded, she took everything in at once.

"Aaron? What happened? Why am I outside?" Genevive murmured quietly.

Aaron hugged her tighter than ever knowing that her mind was restored. He looked in to her eyes, the ribbons were gone. What was left was her golden brown eyes glimmering in the sunlight.

"I'll explain later but first-" He paused mid-sentence.

He quickly noticed that Genevieve suddenly turned pale and look like she was about ready to collapse. He took her hand and quickly brought her to the back of the night class building before she lost consciousness.
