Brody's POV

"UP AND AT 'EM! IT'S MORNING!" Loudred woke us up 'This is gonna be normal isn't it?' I thought "Ugh! Good morning, Brody..." Sim said "Morning..." I said and we stood up and walked out. 

"AND.....THREE! SMILES GO FOR MILES!" We all said "Ok, pokemon! Time to get to work!" Chatot said "HOORAY!" We all said and everyone went their ways and Chatot walked to us "Oh, you two! Still wandering around lost, it seems..." Chatot said "Well, come with me" He said and we followed him upstairs.

This time he led us to the board on the right "Huh?" Sim asks "Last time we did a job, it was from the board on the other side...." He said "Correct!" Chatot said "Today, we'll have you do a job listed on this side" He said "How is this different from the board on the other side?" Sim asks "Take a closer look!" Chatot said and so we did and we could see posters with different pokemon on them "Oh, look, Brody!" Sim said "There are posters up here that show a variety of pokemon!" He said "Wow, they all look pretty cool! Are they famous explorers?" He asks "Who are these pokemon, Chatot?" He asks "The pokemon posted here.....are outlaws" Chatot said suprising us "They're all shady characters. And they're wanted for commiting crimes" He said "Oh no! They're outlaws!?" Sim asks "Correct. So there are bounties on their heads" Chatot said "In other words, there is a cash reward if you capture one" He said "There are so many aggresive pokemon around these days that everyone's finding it hard to keep up with the problem" He said "Wait! You're telling us to go catch these outlaws?" Sim asks "You can't be serious! That's not possible!" He yelled "He-heeeee! Just joking!" Chatot said chuckling "The bad pokemon out there come in all shades of badness!" He said "Some of those pokemon are completely wicked, through and through...." He said "But there are also bad pokemon who are merely petty thieves. So you've got evil to naughty....and everything in between!" He said "So I'm sure we can avoid giving you a job catching a superbad pokemon...." He said "Hee-heee! So look over these posters, then pick a pokemon that looks weak enough for you to bring to justice!" He said "Um...You say some are weak...But they're still bad pokemon aren't they?" Sim asks "I'm scared of dangerous pokemon!" He said nervous "It's all part of your training. You'll work through it, I'm sure!" Chatot said "But I suppose you do need to be prepared to confront a tough opponent..." He said "So I'll have someone give you a tour of the facilities" He said "Hey! Bidoof! Bidoof?!" He calls and Bidoof comes here from downstairs "Yup yup!" Bidoof said "You called?" He asks "Ah, Bidoof! These are the new recruits that just joined us" Chatot said "Take them and show them around the town" He said "Yes sirree! By golly, I'll do just that! Yup yup!" Bidoof said "This is Bidoof. He's one of your fellow apprentices" Chatot said "I want you to pay attention to what Bidoof has to say and follow his orders" He said "Off you go!" He said and went downstairs "Aw, shucks, I'm overjoyed!" Bidoof said "Why's that?" Sim asks confused "I'm glad to have members junior to me! I'm almost overcome right now....I might just blubber with happiness!" Bidoof said "Before you all signed on, I was the most recent rookie..." He said and sniffs "Well, I'd best show you around. Come with me, please" He said and we followed him downstairs.

"First things first!" Bidoof said and looked at Croagunk who was sitting infront of a cauldron "Here, we have Croagunk...But to tell the truth, I don't have any idea what that pokemon's up to...." He said "He always seems to be fiddling around with that big cauldron back there. It's all a mystery to me! Yup yup!" He said "Over this way's the hall. And if you all look that way, you'll find the crew rooms" He said "And this here leads to the Guildmaster's chamber" He said "Next, I'll guide you both around places outside the guild" He said and we all went outside and down the cliff the guild is on.

"I hear you can make a record of your adventure at the Watering hole" Bidoof said "Usually, you make a record of your adventure by going to your bed at the guild, yup yup" He said "Seems you can make a record of your adventure over there too" He said and then we followed him to the left path leading to a town of sorts.

"This is the main square for the local pokemon..." Bidoof said "It's called Treasure Town" He said "Oh, I can tell you about Treasure Town too, Brody" Sim said and we looked at a Duskull on a stand "That over there is Duskull Bank. We can save our money there" He said "And that over there is Electivire Link Shop. That's where you can do things like link moves together, but...It looks like Electivire isn't here today" He said "Past that small bridge is the Kecleon market. You can buy and sell items here" He said "And there's Kangaskhan storage. Items stored here will never be lost" He said "If you have precious items that you can't afford to lose, store them here before you go on an adventure" He said "And those are the basic places that exploration teams visit" He said "And that should do it" He said "You sure know a lot, yes sirree! And that's good to know!" Bidoof said "All right, then. Come find me when you're all ready to go" He said "I'll give you a helping hand with selecting the right outlaw for you" He said "Thank you, Bidoof. You've been really nice" Sim said smiling and I nodded "G-golly, you're embarrassing me! Aw, shucks...." Bidoof said "I'll be waiting at the guild's upper underground floor for you" He said and left "Ok, let's go" Sim said "I'd like to see what kinds of items are available!" He said and I nodded "Let's go to the Kecleon Market!" Sim said and I lead the way there.

When we got to the Kecleon market, I bought some things "Misters Kecleon!" A marill said walking over with a azurill "Ah! Little Marill and Azurill! Welcome, my young friends!" Kecleon said "Hello. May I buy an apple?" Azurril asks "Oh, most certainly!" Kecleon said and Marill and Azurill bought an apple "Thank you, Misters Kecleon!" Marill said "No, thank you, my young friends! You are to be admired!" Kecleon said and Marill and Azurill walk away "You see, those delightful children are borthers" Kecleon said "Lately, their poor mother has fallen sick. So those youngsters come and do the shopping for her" He said "It's quite remarkable. Though very young, they've stepped up and taken charge" He said "Misters Kecleon!" Marill said as he and Azurill came back "Oh? What's the hurry? What makes you return in such a rush?" Keckleon asks "There was an extra apple!" Azurill said "We didn't pay for this many" Marill said "Oh, yes...That, young friends, is a gift from me and my brother" Kecleon said "Please, share it among yourselves and do enjoy" He said "Really?!" Marill asks "Yay! Thank you, Mr. Kecleon and Mr. Kecleon!" Azurill said "Oh, not to worry, my friends. Do take care on your way home" Kecleon said and the two walk away but Azurill suddenly trip dropping his apple "Yowch!" Azurill said and I walk over picking up the apple and Azurill gets up and walks to me "W-we're sorry to bother you. Thanks so much" Azurill said and I gave back the apple back to Azurill. But then suddenly I feel something 'Huh? What was that?' I thought feeling weird 'D-dizzy? Or am I...?' I thought and I saw a flash and then black "H-h-h.....HELP!" I heard.

'What was that?' I thought stepping back confused 'I'm sure I heard a shout for help just now...' I thought and looked around then back at Azurril 'Did that shout come from you?' I thought "Is something the matter?" Azurill asks "Hey, Azurill! What's going on? Hurry home!" Marill said "Yup! I'm coming! Wait up!" Azurill said and catches up to Marill "We're done with our shopping... Now we gotta look for an item we've lost!" Marill said and the two left "Ha! Those little guys are cute" Sim said smiling and looked at me but I was confused still "Oh? What's the matter, Brody?" He asked and I looked at him "Did you hear someone scream for help?" I asked and Sim looked at me confused "Uh, no...I didn't hear anything like that!" Sim said "Hey, Kecleon Brothers. Did you hear anything strange just a moment ago?" He asks "No, nothing out of the ordinary" Kecleon said "I didn't hear anything odd either" the other Kecleon said "It sounds like the Kecleon brothers didn't hear anything odd either" Sim said to me "You must have imagined it, Brody" He said 'No, I'm positive that I didn't imagine it' I thought 'I definitely heard it!' I thought 'That was Azurill's scream!' I thought "Uh, are you daydreaming?" Sim asks nudging me with his snout "Let's move it, Brody!" He said and I nodded.

We crossed over and we stopped for a moment "Oh! What's going on there?" Sim asks as a Drowzee was with Marill and Azurill "Yayyyy!" Azurill said "Thank you!" Marill said "Please! It's nothing" Drowzee said and we walked over to the three "What's going on?" Sim asks "Oh! Hi!" Azurill said "Some time ago, we lost an item that's pretty important to us..." Marill said "We've been looking all over...But we haven't found it yet!" He said "Then Mr. Drowzee came along and he says he may have seen our lost item somewhere!" He said "He even offered to help us look for it" He said "That's great for you!" Sim said "Thank you, Mr. Drowzee" Azurill said "Oh, please...I'd have to have a cold heart to ignore kids in need! I can't turn a blind eye!" Drowzee said "Let's us be on our way to begin our search!" He said and the three started to walk away but Drowzee bumped in me "Whoops! Excuse me" Drowzee said and went after the brothers and I started to feel dizzy again 'Urk.....Wh-what is this......?' I thought "That Drowzee sure is a nice pokemon, isn't he?" Sim asks "With more and more bad pokemon around...it's hard to do good deeds" He said but I was still having that strange sensation 'It's happening again....' I thought 'Another dizzy spell!' I thought.

*Flash*

"If you keep being difficult, it will mean big trouble for you!" Drowzee said to Azurill, the two in some sort of rocky terrain "H-h-h.....HELP!" Azurill said.

*Flash*

'What was that?!' I thought in shock "It would be nice if those little guys found their item soon" Sim said then looked at me confused "Huh? What's the matter, Brody?" He asks and I look at Sim worried "You're looking awfully grim..." He said "I need to tell you something" I said serious "Okay?" Sim said confused and I dragged him closer to Duskull's bank and started to explain.

"What? You had a dizzy spell?" Sim asks "Then you saw Azurill being threatened by Drowzee?!" He asks worried "So you want to go rescue Azurill right away?" He asks "It's an...emergency?!" He asks "Well, what you describe does sound like an emergency, but...." He said "Well, it's not like I don't trust you, Brody, but...." He said "I just can't believe it! After all, Drowzee seemed to be a sincerely nice pokemon, didn't he?" He asks "I watched the three of them go off earlier...." He said "They looked like they were having a good time, didn't they?" He asks "You're probably just tired, Brody" He said smiling "Maybe that's why you just had that bad daydream" He said "But..." I said and Sim nuzzles into my chest to calm me "Anyway, we're only apprentices. We can't just go do whatever we want" Sim said "Sure, it's worrying, but...We have to concentrate on our guild work for now" He said "Let's get ourselves ready to explore. Then we should go find Bidoof" He said and I nodded "Let's go, Brody!" He said.

*Later at the Guild*

 "Oh, yes sirree! Reckon you are all ready!" Bidoof said "Then let's pick ourselves a lawbreaker for you to find" He said and we look at the board "Well, you've got your pick of this sorry bunch of characters" He said "Let's see. Which should we pick?" Sim asks "Ahem. As your mentor, how about I do the choosing?" Bidoof asks "Don't choose anyone too scary!" Sim said "Yes sirree, I hear you! Let's see. Eenie, meenie..." Bidoof said when suddenly an alarm sound "Stand clear! Updating listings!" A pokemon said somewhere and the floor started to shake so we took a step back "What's that? What's happening?" Sim asks "Oh, the data's getting updated" Bidoof said "It's being....updated?" Sim asks and the board with the posters t flips around to the side that should be sticked to the wall "Yikes! Did you see that?! The panel flipped over!" Sim said "What's going on here?" He asks "The Outlaw Notice Board and Job Bulletin Board are set up on revolving panels" Bidoof said "While the panel is flipped over...A pokemon named Dugtrio swaps out the old jobs with new ones" He said "Dugtrio?" Sim asks "He tunnels his way to our guild....Then he flips the panel and updates the data" Bidoof said "Oh, is that so?" Sim asks "Update completed! Stand clear!" Dugtrio said and flipped the panel "Yes sirree! The data is updated" Bidoof said "The list of outlaws has been refreshed, so let's pick one" He said and suddenly Sim started shaking and glaring at the board angry "Huh? What's ailing you? Why are you shivering all of a sudden?" Bidoof asks as he and I look at Sim "L-l-look at this, Brody!" Sim said and I looked at the board "At the top! On the left!" Sim said and I saw a poster with Drowzee's face on it! "It's Drowzee! H-he's a wanted criminal!" Sim said "We have to get moving! Azurill will be in danger!" He said and we both run out the guild.

"Look! There's Marill!" Sim said ad we spotted Marill near the way to mystery dungeons and we ran to Marill "Marill, what's the matter?" Sim asks "Where are Azurill and Drowzee?" He asks "Yes....about them....!" Marill said "After we all left, we went looking for our lost item together..." He said "But I wound up all alone when Mr. Drowzee went somewhere with Azurill" He said "I called and called! But they didn't come back. I got scared...." He said "So which way did they go?!" Sim asks "Th-that way!" Marill said and leads us.

"You think Drowzee and Azurill went in this direction?" Sim asks as we arrived to the rocky area like I saw "Yes....."  Marill said "Oh, Brody! The Drowzee and Azurill you saw in your dream..." Sim said looking at me "You were saying you saw them in a mountainous place, right?" He asks and I nodded "I get the feeling that they're up ahead here" Sim said to Marill "Let's get going, Brody!" Sim said and I nodded and so we enter Mount Bristle.

*Later*

We battled our way through the floors of the mystery dungeons till we reached the peak.

Third Person's POV

"Uh-oh. It's a dead end" Azurill said as there was a small hole infront of him and Drowzee was behind "Excuse me, Mr. Drowzee. Where is my lost item?" Azurill asks "Could you show me where the item is now?" He asks "Sorry, kiddo" Drowzee said "Your lost item? It's not here, that's for sure" He said "Huh?" Azurill asks "My...big brother..." He said looking around "My big brother's following us, right? He's coming soon?" He asks "Nope. Your big brother's not coming" Drowzee said "I'll let you in on a little secret. This was all a trick. I deceived you" He said "Huh?!" Azurill asks scared "But let's not dwell on that. There's a little favor I need to ask" Drowzee said "See that hole behind you?" He asks and Azurill looks "There's a rumor that there's a trove of thief treasure inside there!" Drowzee said "But as you can see, I'm too big to squirm my way through that hole" He said "And that's where you come in!" He said "Don't worry. Just do as I say" He said "Do that, then I'll help you get back out of there" He said "B-but..." Azurill said scared "Go on, get going!" Drowzee said "Go into that hole. And don't forget to bring back the treasure!" He said "I want my big brother!" Azurill cries running off but Drowzee gets infront of him making him stop "H-Hey! Stop that!" Drowzee said "Sheesh! I said that I'll take you home when you're done!" He said "If you keep being difficult, it will mean big trouble for you!" He said "H-h-h.....HELP!" Azurill said.

Brody's POV

"H-h-....HELP!" Azurill said "Stop right there!" Sim said as we walk up to Drowzee "We won't let you do that! Drowzee, you bully!" He said angry "H-how did you find this place?!" Drowzee asks "We're Team Hope! An exploration team!" Sim said "No criminal can escape us!" He said "An exploration team?! You came to apprehend..." Drowzee said and Sim started shaking a bit "....Huh? Are you....trembling?" Drowzee asks "A-ha! I've figured it out!" He said "You say you're on an exploration team, but you're total rookies!" He said "Urk!" Sim said "Come on Sim, we can take him on!" I said to Sim and that "I'm a wanted pokemin with a bounty on my head" Drowzee said "But can you two take me down?" He asks "Y-yes. We can! Yes, we can!" Sim said angry "We'd never lose to a bad guy like you!" He said determined and I nodded "Ha ha ha! I've been chased by all sorts of exploration teams in my days..." Drowzee said "But never a sorrier-looking bunch than you two!" He sais "Let's see if you two can take me down" He said and we got ready to fight.

I started by using bite and Sim with quick attack and Drowzee replied with confusion at me but missed and I used bite again and Sim used tackle and Drowzee used pound on me and I used bite again making Drowzee flinch and Sim tackle delivering the final blow.

"Rrrrawrrr!" Drowzee said fainting and we walked towards Azurill "We came to rescue you" Sim said "Are you all right? You're not hurt, are you?" He asks "I'm ok" Azurill said "Great! What a relief!" Sim said "Your big brither is waiting. Let's go home!" He said "Ok" Azurill said and we headed to the exit dragging Drowzee.

"ZZT! I am Magnezone, the primary officer in this region! ZZZT!" Magnezone said with two magnemites at the sides of Drowzee "ZZZT! Thanks to you.... We have been able to arrest a wanted outlaw! ZZZT!" Magnezone said "ZZZT! We owe you great thanks for your cooperation! ZZZT!" He said and the three pokemon make a siren like noise "ZZZT! We will send the reward to your guild. Thank you again! ZZZT!" Magnezone said "ZZZT! Now come with us! ZZZT!" He said "Awww..." Drowzee said and is taken away by them "Azurill!" Marill said rushing over to us "Marill! Waaaaah!" Azurill said crying "Marill! It was so scary!" He said "You ok, Azurill? Are you hurt?" Marill asks concerned "He's fine. The little guy hasn't been harmed in any way" Sim said and I nodded "Really? That's a relief! Oh, Azurill....Azurill..." Marill said "I'm glad you kids are happy!" Sim said smiling happy "You did this all for us, Sim and Brody" Marill said "We won't forget what you did for us. Thank you so much" He said "Come on, Azurill. You too" He said "Yup... Thank you very much! Thank you for rescuing me!" Azurill said "Really....Really, thank you!" Marill said.

Third Person's POV

The Exploration Team Federation has sent a message...Brody's team was rewarded with an enlarged Treasure Bag!

*Later at the Guild*

Brody's POV

"I've gotten the bounty from Officer Magnezone for the captured outlaw!" Chatot said "Well done, you two!" He said "Here's your share for the job. It's yours to keep!" He said and our team received the 3000 poke bounty that was on the head of the captured outlaw! However....Because 2700 of that is the guild's share...That portion was withheld....As a result, our team received only the remaining 300 poke "What?! This is all we get?!" Sim asks "after all that hard work..." He said "....But of course! It's all part of the training!" Chatot said "And we expect just as much effort tomorrow! Hee-heeeee!" He said and walks away "Urf..." Sim said then looked at me "I'd be happy if our share of the reward was just a little bigger" He said "But that's all right. We managed to rescue Azurill" He said happy "And it's all thanks to you, Brody!" He said "Because you had that dream, Brody...." He said "We learned about Azurill's trouble in advance" He said "It's true!" I said "I can't explain it, but..." I said remembering the shout and the vision "Both of those events took plave in the future!" I said 'Why was I able to see something like that?' I thought and Sim's stomach growled "Oh! My stomach growled!" Sim said and mine did the same making Sim giggle "Ha ha ha! Your stomach growked too, Brody!" Sim said happy "We must have worked up a big appetite!" He said "We were so focused on rescuing Azurill that I didn't notice at all!" He said and our stomach growl again making us laugh together "But now I'm even hungrier!" Sim said "Come on, let's go get dinner, Brody!" He said and I nodded smiling and we went downstairs.

*After dinner-Brody and Sim's room*

"Wow, that lightning's intense!" Sim said as it was raining loudly "It looks like it's really stormy tonight..." He said "Hold on!" He said and walked to me as I was standing on my bed "You know the night before we met, Brody?" He asks "It was storming that night" He said "I found you out cold on the beach the day after that stormy night, Brody" He said "Well? Do you remember anything about being out cold on the beach? Can you remember anything at all?" He asks "I wonder....Hmmmm...." I said and thought "There was a storm...But how did I end up uncouncious there?" I mutter "Nope. I can't remember a thing" I said and I sigh and Sim nuzzles into my chest making me look at him "It's okay, It's not going to be that easy" Sim said smiling "Try to just remembet a little at a time, that'll be easier" He said "We have to get up early again tomorrow. Let's get some sleep" He said and I lay down on my bed and Sim lays next to me "I know you like to cuddle me when you sleep so let's sleep together" Sim said blushing a bit and I nodded smiling.

"Listen, Brody" Sim said as I had an arm wrapped around him "Are you still awake, Brody?" He asks and I nod sleepy "I've been thinking it over since it happened" He said "That strange dream you had, Brody...." He said "Maybe it has to do with you personally, Brody" He said "Huh?" I asked "That's just the feeling I get" Sim said "I sure don't know any other Riolu who dreams about the future. Your species' excell at aura manipulation after all" He said "And I've never heard of a human suddenly turning into a pokemon either" He said "That's why I think those two events are connected" He said "I can't help feeling that way" He said "The key to unlocking my memory...Was it i  that dream?" I mumbled quietly 'But even if that were true...How does it relate to anything else?' I thought "I have no way of knowing what you were like as a human, Brody...." Sim said "But I think you must have been a good person" He said "After all, Brody, it was your dream that helped ud catch that bad pokemon" He said 'Oh! That reminds me of what Chatot said' I thought "You know...Time is getting messed up, bit by bit, all over the world" Sim said "No one seems to know why" He said "But everyone believes that the Time Gears are somehow involved" He said "Huh? Time Gears?" I asked "They say Time Gears are hidden in secret places around the world" Sim said "Like in a forest....Or at a lake in an underground cavern..." He said "At the center of such places...is what's known as a Time Gear" He said "Time Gears serve a very important function" He said "Each one protects time and keeps time flowing properly in its region" He said.

*Meanwhile*

Third Persons POV

A mysterious pokemon was dashing through a forest.

Sim: But.....what happens if a region loses it's Time Gear?

Sim: I don't really know the answer to that question

The mysterious pokemon eventually stopped in the center of a forest having found...a Time Gear!

Sim: But my guess is that if a Time Gear is removed from a region...

Sim: The flow of time in that region will probably stop too

The pokemon gets closer to it.

Sim: That's why everyone makes sure never to disturb the Time Gears

Sim: Everyone has long been certain that some kind of disaster would strike

Sim: So everyone stays away from the Time Gears and doesn't tamper with them

Sim: Even the most hardened criminal pokemon know to avoid messing with them

"Do my eyes deceive me?" The mysterious pokemon asked outloud looking at it "Could it be....? Yes, it is!" He said and lightning strikes revealing the mysterious pokemon is a Grovyle "I've finally found it! A Time Gear!" Grovyle said "But....this is only the first of many...." He said.
