Brody's POV

I followed Sim till we reached a tent with a Wigglytuff's head shape as the top of the tent "This is Wigglytuff's Guild" Sim said "To form an exploration team, you need to register your team here" He said "Then you have to train until you become a first-rate exploration team" He said "Y-y-yikes!" He said shaking a bit "Isn't there something just a little odd about this place?" He asks "No..! I've got Brody with me this time" He said fired up "I have to be brave" He said and stepped into the hole with a wodden grate on it "Pokemon detected! Pokemon detected!" Someone said "Whose footprint? Whose footprint?" Another voice asked "The footprint is Shinx's! The footprint is Shinx's!" The first voice said "Waah!" Sim said startled "N-no. I have to be strong..." He said staying still ".....You may ENTER!" The voice said "Someone's with you! So get that stranger to stand up HERE!" He said and Sim moves to the side then looks at me "They probably meant you, Brody" Sim said "They said to stand up there" He said 'There's a grate covering the hole...' I thought 'It's made so that no one can fall through...' I thought 'Still, it's really strange....It looks like it will tickle my feet or...' I thought "Hey, you! Stranger! Get on the GRATE!" The voice said and I did as told "Pokemon detected! Pokemon detected!" The first voice said "Whose footprint? Whose footprint?" The second voice asked "The footprint is......The footprint is....Um...." The first voice stumbled "What's the matter?! Sentry! Sentry?!" The second voice asks "What's wrong, sentry Diglett?" He asks "Ummm.....Er..." Diglett said "Ummm....The footprint is..." He said "Maybe Riolu's! Maybe Riolu's!" He said "What?! MAYBE?!" The second voice asks "B-but... It's not a footprint that you normally see around here..." Diglett said "UGH! That's pretty crummy!" The second voice said "Checking the footprints of visiting pokemon...That's your job, ISN'T it, Diglett?" He asks "Yes but...I don't know what I don't know" Diglett said "What? Are they arguing?" Sim asks ".....Sorry to make you WAIT" The second voice said "Well, it's TRUE that you don't see any Riolu in these parts..." He said "But you don't SEEM to be bad...OK, good enough! ENTER!" He said and the barred gate opened "Yikes!" Sim said suprised "I'm so nervous! So jittery!" He said "But I'm glad we're finally allowed in. My heart's pounding, though..." He said "You'll be fine Sim" I said smiling and Sim nods "OK, let's go in" Sim said and we went inside the tent.

Inside the tent were stairs leading down "Th-there's a hatch that leads underground here!" Sim said and we climbed down the stairs till we reached a room with lot of pokemon talking with each other "Wow!" Sim said amazed "So this is Wigglytuff's Guild!" Sim said "So many pokemon! I wonder if they're all on exploration teams?" He asks "Excuse me!" Someone said and we looked to see it was a Chatot that came from the other set of stairs leading further down and walked to us "It was you two that just came in, right?" Chatot asks "Yes" Sim said "I'm Chatot! I'm the pokemon in the know around these parts!" Chatot said "I am Guildmaster Wigglytuff's right-hand pokemon!" He said "Now, shoo! Leave the premises! We have no time for salespeople or silly surveys. Off you go, if you please!" He said "N-no! That's not why we're here!" Sim said "We want to form an exploration team..." He said "That's why we came here. We want to be trained as an exploration team" He said and I nodded "Wh-what?! An exploration team?" Chatot asks and turns around "It's rare to see two kids like these want to apprentice at the guild" He said "Especially given how hard our training is!" He said "Surely the steady stream of pokemon that run away from our rigorous training proves how true that is!" He said "Excuse me. Is the exploration team training that severe?" Sim asks "What?!" Chatot asks and turns around quickly "Well...no! No, no, no!" He said "It's not true in the slightest! Our training program for exploration teams is as easy as can be!" He said "Well, well, well! I wish you had told me up front that you wanted to be an exploration team! Hee-heeeee!" He said and Sim and I sweatdrop "His attitude suddenly change, didn't it...?" Sim asked me "OK! Let's get your team signed up right away. Follow me!" Chatot said and we followed him downstairs.

"This is the guild's second underground floor" Chatot said "This is mainly where the apprentices work" He said "Team registration is this way. Come along, please" He said and we followed him to a door next to the stairs when Sim looks through the window on the side "Wow! We're two floors under the ground, but you can see outside!" Sim said amazed "Oh, please! Hush now!" Chatot said "The guild is built into the side of a cliff" He said "It's only natural that you would be able to see outside" He said "Oh" Sim said "Now, here we are at Guildmaster Wigglytuff's chamber" Chatot said "On no account...I repeat, on no account should you be discourteous to our Guildmaster" He said "Guildmaster! It's Chatot! I'm coming in!" He said and we went inside.

"Guildmaster! I present to you two pokemon who wish to join our guild as apprentices" Chatot said "Guildmaster...um....Guildmaster?" He asks and Wigglytuff turns around and looks at us "Hiya! I'm Wigglytuff! I0m the guild's Guildmaster!" Wigglytuff said "You want to form an exploration team? Then, let's go for it!" He said "First we must register your exploration team's name!" He said "So, tell me your team's name?" He said "Oh? Our team's name?" Sim asks "We didn't think of that" He said "So what do you think would be a good name for us, Brody?" Sim asks "Hmmm, team hope" I said "....Hope?! Team Hope!" Sim said "Yeah...That's a good name! It suits us!" He said smiling "All settled, then! I'll register your team as Hope" Wigglytuff said "Registering! Registering!" He said "All registered....YOOM...TAH!" Wigglytuff said "Congratulations! From now on, you're an official exploration team!" He said "I present you with this in commemoration" He said putting and sets down a pokemon exploration team kit "A pokemon exploration team kit?" Sim asks "Yup. It's what every exploration team needs" Wigglytuff said "Quick, open it up" He said and Sim open the pokemon exploration team kit.

There was an explorer badge inside and a wonder map and a treasure bag! "Yeah! There are all sorts of great items in here!" Sim said excited "That's your explorer badge! It's your official team identification!" Wigglytuff said "And there's the Wonder Map, which is a wonder of convenience!" He said "Finally, there's a treasure bag. It lets you carry items you find in dungeons" He said "Your successes as an exploration team can lead to bigger and bigger space for your treasure bag" He said "It's a very wonderful bag!" He said "Have a peek inside your treasure bag" He said and Sim peered into the treasure bag. A Yellow Bow and an Orange Bandana were inside "Those two items are special. I'm sure they will help you on your adventures!" Wigglytuff said "Th-thank you! We'll do our best!" Sim said excited "Yup. But you're only apprenticing right now. So do your best....to train!" Wigglytuff said "We will!" Sim said "Let's always do our best, Brody!" He said smiling at me and I nodded smiling.

*Later*

"This is your room!" Chatot said and Sim and I stand on the bed made of hay "Great! We get beds!" Sim exclaimed happy "You will live here while you work for us" Chatot said "Things will start getting busy for you tomorrow! So rise early and start living up to our code!" He said  "Don't stay up late. Get to sleep early tonight! That is all" He said and left.

It soon was night and Sim was laying on his bed and I was laying on mine with our eyes closed "Oh, are you still awake, Brody?" Sim asks "My heart's been racing all day today over every little thing..." He said "But I'm glad I finally made myself come here" He said "I thought Wigglytuff would be scary, but he seems pretty friendly" He said "We're going to experience all sorts of things starting tomorrow, but I'm not very scared" He said "In fact, it's the other way around. I'm super excited about the adventures we'll face!" Sim said "I'm feeling a little sleepy..." He said "Let's give it our all tomorrow" He said "Ok, Brody. Good night" He said and I started to hear Sim snore softly "Um...Now I'm suddenly apprenticing at the guild..." I said outloud "I gotta admit, it's pretty exciting to be in an exploration team" I said "And it's fun to be friends with Sim..." I said "But first things first..." I said "Who am I? How did I turn into a pokemon? How did I end up uncouncious on that beach?" I asked and yawned "I'm feeling sleepy too....Well, thinking about it won't help right now. I'd better focus on the guild's work for now..." I said "If I do that, well, everything should become clears eventually..." I said "I'll surely get to the bottom of this in time" I said and slowly fell asleep.

*Next Morning*

"HEY! HEY THERE! RISE AND SHINE!" Someone's loud booming voice woke us up....and probably damaged our ears "Ugh!" I said waking up dizzy "M-My head is pounding!" I said 'Wh-what a ridiculously loud voice! It almost blasted my eardrums!' I thought and Sim was in no better state "Why are you still ASLEEP?! WAKE UP!" The pokemon said "Ugh!" I said "M-my poor ears..." Sim said dizzy too "C'mon! Snap OUT of it!" The pokemon said "I'm Loudred! And I'm a fellow apprentice!" Loudred said "If you're late for our morning briefing, you'll be SORRY! So MOVE it!" He said "Guildmaster Wigglytuff has got a BIG temper. If you make him lose it...." He said "YOWEEE! That would be one very scary scene!" He said "I've got goose bumps just thinking about it! YEESH!" He said "So ANYWAY....I'm not about to get in trouble because you rookies got up LATE!" He said "SO GET IT IN GEAR!" He said and walks off "Urk! My ears are still ringing..." Sim said "What did he say? Something about getting ready?" He asks and we both stood up "Er....Oh yeah!" He said "We signed up as apprentices at Wigglytuff's guild, that's right!" He said "But that means....Waaah! We totally overslept! We've got to hurry, Brody!" He said and we both run off.

When we reached the main area of the second underground floor we saw a croagunk, a dugtrio, a chimecho, a corpish, a bidoof, loudred, a sunflora and diglett "You're LATE, rookies!" Loudred said "Hush! Your voice is ridiculously loud!" Chatot said "Everyone seems to be present" He said "Very well. Let us conduct our morning address" He said "Guildmaster! The guild is in full attendance!" He said and Wigglytuff walked out his room "Thank you, Guildmaster. Please address the crew" Chatot said but Wigglytuff just snores? and the other apprentices where whispering "Thank you, sir! We all value your...words of wisdom!" Chatot said "Ok, pokemon! Take our guildmaster's words of wisdom to heart!" He said "Finally, let's not forget our morning cheers! All together now!" He said "A ONE, A TWO.....A ONE-TWO-THREE!" Everyone said "ONE! DON'T SHRINK WORK!" "TWO! RUN AWAY AND PAY!" "THREE! SMILES GO FOR MILES!" Everyone said "Ok, pokemon! Get to work!" Chatot said "HOORAY!" Everyone said and went their ways and Chatot walked over to us "Hey, you shouldn't just be wandering around there" Chatot said "You two come here" He said and we followed him upstairs and to one of the two boards on the first underground floor, the board on the left "You're just beginners. We'll have you start off with this assignment" Chatot said "This is the Job Bulletin Board. Pokemon from various regions post job requests here" He said "You're aware that bad pokemon are cropping up in greater numbers, right?" He asks "Yup. Because the flow of time is getting messed up. It's wreaking havoc, right?" Sim asks "Which is why lots of bad pokemon are appearing!" He said suprising me 'The flow of time is getting messed up?' I thought 'Time? As in hours and minutes? Do they mean something has gone wrong with time here?' I thought 'And because of that, more and more bad pokemon are popping up?' I thought 'What's going on here?!' I thought "Precisely. Time getting out of whack has caused an outbreak of bad pokemon. Perhaps because of all that..." Chatot said "We have noticed an increase in the number of jobs" He said "In addition...and it's unknown if this is because of time's influence..." He said "There has also been a mass outbreak of....mystery dungeons" He said "Mystery Dungeons?!" I asked outloud "So, Brody! You know how we got my Relic Fragment back yesterday?" Sim asks "The place where we found it was a mystery dungeon" He said "A mystery dungeon changes each time you go into it. There's a different layout and different items every time you enter!" He said "If you faint in the middle of a dungeon, you lose half of your money...." He said "You can even lose half your items or more...." He said "Finally, you get kicked right out. They're very strange places" He said "But every time you go inside one, there are always new things to discover!" He said excited "They really are fantastic places to go exploring!" He said "Well! You're quite informed, aren't you!" Chatot said "That makes things much easier to explain!" He said "Jobs all take place in mystery dungeons" He said "So...let's look for a job that you should perform" He said and looks at the board and grabs a note and gave it to Sim "Oh, really? Let's read it!" Sim said.

"Hello! My name is Spoink! An outlaw has run off with my most prized possession. My precious pearl! That pearl is life itself....to me! I just can't seem to settle down if that pearl isn't in its proper place atop my head! But I've heard my pearl has been sighted! It's said to be on a rocky bluff. But this bluff is reported to be extremely unsafe. I could never go somewhere so frightening! Oh, friendly readers! Would you be so kind as to go to the bluff and get my pearl? I beg your help, exploration team members! From Spoink" The note read "Wait a second....We're going to fetch an item that someone dropped?" Sim asks angry "I would rather do something that's more of an adventure" Sim said "I'd rather look for treasure or explore unknown places. Things like that!" He said with big bright eyes "Hush!" Chatot said mad "Yikes!" Sim said startled "It's important that you rookies pay your dues" He said "Now pay attention! I'll repeat the warnings again to make sure they stick!" He said "You'll be forced out of a dungeon and sent back here if either of you faints" He said "You'll lose half of your money! And you could lose half your items or more. You'd best be careful!" He said strict and Sim and I sweatdrop "Hmm......" Sim said.

*Later*

"This must be the bluff's entrance" Sim said "Spoink's mission description said the pearl is deep down on the B7F level" He said "It sounds like a seriously dangerous place. Let's be careful" He said putting on the yellow bow and I put on the orange bandana "Let's do our best, Brody!" Sim said and I nodded and we entered Drenched Bluff.

Eventually we managed to reached the B7F after fighting wild pokemon and we saw the pearl ahead "Oh! Look at that!" Sim said "This must be Spoink's pearl" He said "Let's hurry back with it!" He said and I grabbed it and we head back.

*Back at the Guild*

"Th-thank you!" Spoink said with its pearl back on its head "That pearl must be propped on my head, you see. I missed it so much!" He said "I just couldn't settle down without it up there!" He said "So I was just boinging and sproinging everywhere!" He said "That's why I'm covered in dings and bumps" He said "But thanks to you, that long nightmare is over!" He said "You have my sincere thanks!" He said and Spoink walks over to me giving me a protein, a calcium, an iron and 2000 poke! Incredible! "Oh, wow! 2000 poke?! All this money is for us?" Sim asks "Of course! Of course! That's nothing compared to my pearl's value!" Spoink said "Farewell!" Spoink said and left "We're rich, Brody! We got rich just like that!" Sim said "Well done team!" Chatot said and walked over to me "Now hand that money over, if you please!" He said "Huh?!" Sim and I asked "Most of the money from jobs goes to the guildmaster, you see!" Chatot said "And your team's share of the money comes out tothis much...!" He said and gave me 200 poke?! "Huh?! We only keep 200 poke?" Sim asks "That's awful!" He said "Well that's the guild's rule. You simply have to accept it!" Chatot said "Hmph..." Sim said sadly.

*Later at Night*

"Everyone! Thanks for waiting!" Chimecho said and we all look at her "I finished making dinner!" She said "Come on! Dinner's on!" She said "YEAH!" We all said and went to the dining hall and we all ate, it was like a feast after dinner we all went to our own rooms.

"Listen, Brody...." Sim said as we were laying on our beds "Wasn't today hectic? So much happened!" He said "But I'm relieved that our first job was a success" He said "It was really upsetting how Wigglytuff's guild took most of the money..." He said "That's just the cost of training, I guess. We can't do anything about it" He said "But what made me really happy today, though, was getting thanked by Spoink!" He said and yawns "....I'm getting sleepy" He said "I'm going to sleep. Let's try our best again tomorrow" He said "Good night, Brody...." He said and we both fell asleep for the night.
