Brody's POV

After that day of doing sentry duty, we were back to doing missions for two days and we reached Bronze Rank! and today we wake up and went for the morning cheers as usual but...

"Er, ahem. Everyone, listen up. I have an important announcemet to make" Chatot said "Far to the northeast, then farther into its outermost reaches..." He said "There lies a place named Treeshroud Forest...." He said "In Treeshroud Forest....Time has apparently stopped..." He said suprising all of us "Huh?!" Diglett asks "Eek! What did you say?!" Sunflora asks "You're saying time stopped?! Hey, hey, hey!" Corphish said "Yes, that's correct..." Chatot said "Time has to come to a standstill in Treeshroud Forest....The wind has stopped.... The clouds are motionless..." He said "Dewdrops on leaves won't fall... They just hang there, suspended" He said "In Treeshroud Forest, time itself has truly stopped" He said "T-time has stopped?!" Dugtrio asks "But.... How could something this awful happen?" Sunflora asks "It's unthinkable!" She said "Yes, the unthinkable has happened" Chatot said "Why has time stopped in Treeshroud Forest?" He asks "Well, it's because Treeshroud Forest's Time Gear was...Stolen!" He said "Huh?!" Bidoof asks "The time gear was s-stolen?!" Dugtrio asks "That's what made time stop! Hey, hey, hey!" Corphish said "I'd heard it was possible! But now it's really happened" Chimecho said "I don't get it though! Why would ANYONE take a Time Gear?!" Loudred asks "Quiet, everyome!" Chatot said "Officer Magnezone has already started an investigation" He said "It's hard to believe that anyone would dare steal a Time Gear" He said "But if one Time Gear can be stolen, the others may also be in danger" He said "The officer asked to be notified immediately if we notice any suspicious characters" He said "So keep that in mind. Let us know if you notice anything" He said "That is all. All right, everyone! Here's to another busy day of work!" He said "HOORAY!" We all said and everyone went their ways "Oh, you there" Chatot said "You two, come here" He said so we walked to him "You've become quite good at your work" He said "I'm impressed with your capture of Drowzee. That was very admirable!" He said "So! You all will finally be assigned a mission worthy of a proper exploration team" He said "R-really?! Hooray!" Sim said excited "Let me see your Wonder Map" Chatot said so I opened the Wonder Map "Treasure Town is here" Chatot said "And.... over here is where we would like you to investigate" He said "See? There is a waterfall flowing here" He said "By all appearances, it's just an ordinary waterfall" He said "But we've received intelligence that the waterfall may conceal a secret" He said "And that's where you come in. We want you lot to investigate the waterfall and determine what's there" He said and I close the map "That's all. Do you understand what this mission entails?" He asks "Understood" I said "Good! All right, I'll leave you all to thoroughly investigate the waterfall!" Chatot said and Sim started shivering "Huh? What's wrong? You're shivering" Chatot said and Sim had tears in his eyes "A-are you all right?" Chatot asks worried "Yes. I'm OK. It's just the anticipation that's making me nervous" Sim said "This will be the first time we get to do a real job as an exploration team" He said "I'm feeling a little worked up...." He said "Oh, I feel like I'm going to burst from excitement!" He said looking at me "Let's do our best, Brody!" He said and I nodded smiling and we started to go upstairs.

"Oh! Brody! And Sim too!" Chimecho said "Huh? What's Chimecho doing there?" Sim asks and we walked over to her "Hello! What's going here?" Sim asks "I just started an Assembly here. Today, in fact" Chimecho said "Assembly?" Sim asks "Yes! For assembling your team! Have you ever considered adding members, Sim?" Chimecho asks "Other members? Well, sure! It'd be cool to add other members!" Sim said "Of there were more than just the two of us...." He said "It sure would help when we explore dungeons!" He said "Well then! You need to start recruiting new members!" Chimecho said "Oh? How do we start?" Sim asks "I'll just ring the friendship bell for you, Team Hope!" Chimecho said "Here goes! Hey-yah!" She said and rang the Friendship Bell "Now Team Hope has the power to recruit new members!" She said "R-really?" Sim asks excited "Yes! From now on, while battling pokemon in dungeons...You may earn respect from some of them.... and those pokemon will then ask to join Team Hope" Chimecho said "Once you have recruited a pokemon, you can bring it along with you on dungeon explorations" She said "To bring a pokemon along, visit my Assembly, then choose which members should join your team for the exploration" She said "Always see me when you want to assemble a team that includes recruits!" She said "Oh, wow! Thanks, Chimecho!" Sim said happy and then Sim and I went outside.

Wen we reach the crossroads I spotted something and stopped "Huh? What's going on?" Sim asks as I guide Sim to stairs that go down with a sign "There are stairs here!" Sim said "There's something written on the sign..." He said getting closer to the sign "Huh? What?" He asks "Spinda's Café! A shop of Hopes and Dreams, Opening soon! Win big!" He read "Looks like a new shop will be opening soon" He said "But 'Hopes and Dreams'? I wonder what kind of shop this will be..." He said "Let's come back after it's open and find out" He said and I nodded so we got prepared and headed to the waterfall.

*At the Secret Waterfall*

"So this is the waterfall that supposedly has a secret..." Sim said and walks closer to the waterfall but he gets knocked back by the force the water is coming down "Yow!" Sim said "That water's coming down hard!" He said "Try getting close to the waterfall, Brody" He said and I did 'It's true.... This is incredible...' I thought amazed 'I can barely stay standing near this deluge!' I thought and tried to get closer but I got knocked back too "Waaah!" I said "See? It's intense" Sim said as I got up "If you were to fall under this waterfall, you'd probably be battered" He said "I didn't think it would be pouring down this powerfully!" He said "Where should we even start looking?" He asks and I start to feel dizzy 'Hmmm....' I thought 'Something seems familiar' I thought 'It's that dizziness I felt before' I thought and I saw the sillhouette of a pokemon in this spot at night, it took a few steps back then run as fast as it could and jumped into the waterfall and....landed inside finding a cave!

'It happened again!' I thought "Huh? What's the matter, Brody?" Sim asks "I got another vision" I said "What?! You did?" Sim asks suprised "This time I saw a lone pokemon leap into the waterfall" I said "What?!" Sim asked "And not only that...There's a hidden cave behind the waterfall" I said "Really?!" Sim asks "Hmmm... But it looks like that water is coming down really heavily" He said looking at it "Imagine if there was actually a solid cliff wall behind that waterfall!" He said "Ouch!" He said "If we tried to jump through...We'd be pounded badly!" He said "So Brody...." He said "What do you think, Brody?" He asks "Is there really something behind this waterfall?" He asks "Are you really convinced that there is a cave there?" He asks "I am" I said and Sim looks at me and smiles "Well.....ok. I'm putting my faith in you, Brody!" Sim said "Yes! I totally believe in you, Brody!" He said and we both take steps back and I Sim shake a bit "Yikes!" Sim said nervous said "Ok, I gotta be brave now!" He said "If I get scared and fail to leap through at full speed...." He said "I'll be smooshed no matter what I do!" He said "If I'm doing it, I have to do it without hesitating" He said "Be brave....Be the bravest ever!" He said determined "Ready! Let's go, Brody!" He said "Three...Two...One...Now!" He said and we both run at full speed and jump into the waterfall "Waaaah!" Sim and I yell and we land "Yowowow..." Sim said and we both slowly got up "W-what is this?!" Sim asks as we look around seeing the same place I saw in my vision "Yes! It is a cave!" Sim said excited "You were right after all, Brody!" He said "Let's go explore this cave, Brody!" He said "Let's see what secrets it holds!" He said "Yeah" I said and we both enter Waterfall Cave.

*Later*

We went through 8 floors and eventually we reached a room with lots of gems on the floor "Wow! Look at that, Brody!" Sim said as we look around "Look at all the gems sparkling!" He said "Whoa, look over there! It's a gigantic gem!" He said excited looking at said gigantic gem at the end of the room "Wow! I've never seen a gem this huge!" Sim said as we walked closer "This is an incredible treasure!" He said "Everyone will be amazed if we take this back" He said so He walks to the gem and stands on his hind legs to grab the gem and tried to pull it out "Urrrrrrrgh! Urrrrrgh! Ugh...." Sim said grunting but couldn't pull it out "Nope, it's not budging...." He said "It's really stuck tight. Can you give it a try, Brody?" He asks and I nod and walked to the gem taking over and I tried to pull out the gigantic gem "Whoa!" I said "This is really stuck!" I said "Urrrrrgh....ugh..... Nope, no good...." I said panting "So you couldn't move it either, Brody..." Sim said "But we can't just give up" He said "I'm going to give it another go, Brody!" He said and tryes to pull out the gem again 'Hmmm.... It's not budging one bit...' I thought and I started feeling dizzy again 'Huh? Oh no...' I thought 'It's happening again...' I thought and I saw the same pokemon from the previous vision and it walks to the gem and push something on it and the ground started shaking and a strong wave of water came over and pushed the pokemon away.

'But that was...!' I thought "It's no good. I can't pull it out..." Sim said panting and then just happened to push the gigantic gem! Making me gasp 'Aaaaack! That's....' I thought nervous as the ground started shaking confusing Sim while I look the direction the water is gonna come from "Huh? What's going on?" Sim asks and I gulp and Sim looks over and sees it "Waaaah! It's a flood!" Sim said and we tried to run away but the water caught up to us fast "Waaaah!" Sim and I said as the water shots out like a geyser with us at the top and the water then goes down making me and Sim fall into some water.

"Huh? What....? Where are we?" Sim asks and a Teddiursa walks to him "Hi, hi! Are you two ok?" She asks "You plopped down from nowhere!" She said "Oh, you startled everyone!" She said as we saw a Ursaring, two Mankeys and a Vigoroth "Where are we?" Sim asks and a Torkoal nearby walks over "This is the hot spring" Teddiursa said "H-Hot spring?!" Sim asks "Indeed! This is the Hot Spring!" Torkoal said "The Hot Spring works wonders on tired muscles and creaky joints. Many pokemon visit here" He said "Tell me, youngster, have you a map?" He asks "Map? Oh, if you mean our Wonder Map, yes, we have one" Sim said "Unfold it for me" Torkoal said and I open the map "There. We are here" Torkoal said "This is the Hot Spring's location" He said "Oh. I see" Sim said "The waterfall is here, so..." He said looking at the map "Hey! Check this out, Brody!" Sim said "The water carried us all the way over here" He said "My goodness! It was the water that carried you all this way?" Torkoal asks "What a long journey that must have been! Let the Hot Spring washbaway your fatigue before you make your way home" He said "Good idea. We'll do that. Thanks, everyone!" Sim said.

*Later at the Guild*

"Hmm. Let me see if I've got this all straight" Chatot said "Behind the waterfall, there is a cave..." He said "In the deepest part of the cave, there is a gigantic gem..." He said "When you pushed on the gem, it triggered a trap of some kind..." He said "And, suprisingly, you were flushed off to the distant Hot Spring? Is that the gist of your report?" He asks "Yes. It's really disappointing that we couldn't bring the gem back...." Sim said "No, no, no! Emphatically, no!" Chatot said "This is a major discovery!" He said "R-really?!" Sim asks relieved "Undoubtedly!" Chatot said "After all, the presence of the cave behind the waterfall..." He said "No one knew about that before now!" He said "Oh, I see! We made a discovery!" Sim said but something has been nagging at me 'When I had those dizzy spells...' I thought 'The shadow of that pokemon I saw...' I thought 'That shape.... I've seen that shape before... That shape.... There's no mistaking it!' I thought 'That was....Wigglytuff!' I thought "Your waterfall discovery is just amazing! The Guildmaster must be told!" Chatot said and I look at them "What? What's wrong, Brody?" Sim asks "I think Wigglytuff may have already been there" I said "Huh?" Sim asks "No, no, no! Emphatically no! That's inconceivable!" Chatot said "If that were so, the Guildmaster wouldn't have ordered you to investigate the place, right?" He asks "Can you ask him? I'm sure I'm right" I said "Hmmm. Well if you insist, I will confirm it with the Guildmaster..." Chatot said "Hmm.... But why would would they want to spoil their own discovery! How strange!" He said "I should be used to it by now..." He said "These apprentices are yet another strange crew, aren't they?" He mumbles "What was that, Chatot?" Sim asks "What? Oh, nothing, nothing. Nothing at all!" Chatot said "Amyway, I will go confirm what you told me with the Guildmaster" He said and went to Wigglytuff's room.

Soon he came out "So how did it go?" Sim asks "When I asked the guildmaster, he mulled it over for a bit" Chatot said "And then he said... 'Oh? Memories! Sweet memories! YOOM....TAH!" He said "Then he danced around a bit. And then he said....'Yes, yes! When I think hard, maybe I did go there once!' " He said "And that's just what the Guildmaster said" He said making Sim and I sweatdrop "To sum it up, it's just as Brody suspected....He has indeed already been to Waterfall Cave" Chatot said "Oh...ok. That's kind of disapointing...." Sim said "We really thought we'd discovered a new place" He said "I wish Wigglytuff had told us right from the start...." He said "The Guildmaster can be rather, uh, erratic at times...." Chatot said "Even I can't quite fathom what goes in his head" He said "Well, that's too bad for you" He said "Nevertheless, I shall expect your best effort tomorrow!" He said "Urf...." Sim said.

*After dinner-Sim and Brody's room*

'Today was exhausting' I thought 'I should get to sleep early' I thought and I hear Sim sigh looking out the window "We went through a lot today" Sim said "But you know what? It was incredibly fun for me!" He said smiling at me happily "Sure, there was that huge letdown...But it was our first exploration! I thought I was going to explode from excitment and anticipation the whole time" He said "It made me realize I made the right decision in joining an exploration team" He said and shows me his relic fragment "One day I'm sure I'll solve the secret of my Relic Fragment" He said "That's the dream I have" He said "If it ever cane true, I'd surely faint from sheer happiness!" He said "Ha ha ha ha!" Sim laughed happy and I laughed with him too "But seriously, thanks...." Sim said grabbing his Relic Fragment "Hm?" I ask "I can explore because of you, Brody" Sim said "Yes..." He said and we remember the moment before jumping in the waterfall "I'm the biggest chicken around, and even I managed to work up the courage!" Sim said "And it was all because you were with me, Brody" He said "Seriously, Brody, thanks!" He said smiling and kisses my cheek and licks it making me laugh a bit and stops realizing something "....Oh yeah!" Sim said "You know, I was thinking...." He said "I noticed something about your dizzy spells, Brody" He said "You always seem to be touching something when they happen" He said 'Come to think of it, Sim's right!' I thought 'When I heard Azurill's scream...I touched the apple he dropped' I thought 'And the next time it happen it was when Drowzee bumped into me...' I thought 'And when we were exploring waterfall cave it happened when the water hit me and when I touched the gem!' I thought "It's.... it's true!" I said "It was always after touching something! That's when I got those dizzy spells!" I said "When I touch something, I see something connected to it...right?" I ask and Sim nods "There's one more thing" Sim said "When we rescued Azurill, you had a vision of the future...." He said "But this time, you saw Wigglytuff going into the cave, right?" He asks "So that means.... This time, you saw an event that occurred in the past" He said 'Th-that's true!' I thought "In other words, Brody...If you touch something, you see its past or future" Sim said "You must have that kind of special ability!" He said "This could be something totally incredible!" He said with bright eyes "You could use it in lots of ways!" He said "Not just for exploring, either! The ability could be useful for many things!" He said "It's fantastic, Brody!" He said "W-well, yes! I guess that's true..." I said 'But that doesn't mean I always get a vision every time I touch something...' I thought 'It would be useful if I could have visions when I wanted, but...' I thought "Hey, you two!" Chatot said reaching our room "The Guildmaster wants to see you right away" He said so we follow him to Wigglytuff's room.

"Guildmaster, I've brought you Team Hope" Chatot said "Guildmaster.... Guildmaster?" He asks "Hiya!" Wigglytuff said suddenly "Your team went through a lot today! Yes, a lot-lot!" He said "But don't worry! I'm keeping watch on your activities!" He said "I should tell you why I called you here" He said "We're planninh to mount a full expedition soon!" He said "An expedition?" Sim and I asked confused "Yes! The guild will go explore someplace far away!" Chatot said "It's much harder than exploring our nearby area" He said "That's why we need to prepare for the big trip properly" He said "We carefully choose which guild members go on the expedition" He said "Really?!" Sim asks excited "Usually, we would never, ever consider rookies to be expedition members" Wigglytuff said "But you two are working so very hard!" He said "That's why we're making a special exception this time!" He said "We decided to include you in the list of candidates for the expedition!" He said "R-really?!" Sim asks excited "Now, now!" Chatot said "You haven't been chosen as expedition members yet" He said "There is still time before we set out on the expedition" He said "If you fail to do good work before then, you cannot expect to be selected for the expedition" He said "I'm sure you two can do it!" Wigglytuff said "Try hard!" He said "Yes!" Sim said happy "An expedition! Isn't it fantastic, Brody?" He asks me with bright eyes "My heart is pounding all of a sudden!" He said "Let's try our best and make sure we get picked for the expedition!" He said and we both high five, determined to be selected for the expedition.
