Together Till Death

No quirk AU

Hizashi had a river of tears running down his pale face as he saw the bright and orange flames burn and destroy the house of his beloved lover. He was shouting, trying to break free from the arms of the men that were holding him back. He couldn't stand there and watch as his lover dies in front of his own two eyes that reflected the flames of the fire.

The wind blew all of a sudden, a strongish breeze, and just when the fire was being tamed. Hizashi went wide eyed as saw the flames get bigger. More tears rushed out his once bright and green emerald eyes that showed nothing but happiness. He couldn't take it anymore as yanked his arms from the policeman. His feet moving on their own. One in front of the other, people calling for him to stay back and the professionals do it. However, his body was moving on it's own, reacting before his brain could process what was going on.

He forced the door open and to the floor it went with a loud thump. Heat rushing to his face, almost blinding as he brought up his hands to his face and entered the house, immediately looking around for the ravenette. "Sho!!" He called out, coughing and guilt was clearly reflected off his voice. "Shota!!" He cried, his voice cracking, as the heat from the flames evaporated his tears, even dried up his eyes for he was blinking and trying to see clearly in all the smoke that surrounded his face.

He raced through the house, trying to see any source of a human being. The male with raven black hair and charcoal black eyes to match. The male he knew wasn't afraid of death. The male he held dear. The male he had yelled at, all because of his own stupid actions.

Hizashi ran upstairs, the fire eating away at his skin and clothing, there was a piece of the roof, blocking the door to the ravenette's bedroom. The door burning along with the stranded books and papers. The life long work of the emotionless male. The work of one of the top writers in Japan, was being burned by the flames were burning the author alive along with the house as well.

Out of pure anger he fisted his hands and ran into the door, a scream of pain, leaving his mouth as he landed on top of the door on the floor, coughing and suffocating due to the massive amount of smoke. He raised his hand up to his mouth only to cough out blood. He looked around the bright room, the whole room was trashed and being burned to ashes, that's when he saw a limp hand, holding onto the edge of the bed.

Without hesitation he stood up and ran to the males side and hugged his fragile body, "I'm sorry… Sho…" he coughed as he held onto him.

Shota opened his eyes that showed hurt and betrayal in them. "Leave…" he whispered as he tried to push the blonde away from him, which he failed at since the blonde only hugged him tighter.

Hizashi was biting his lip as he cried. "I'm never leaving you again.." he whispered as he tried to stand up with Shota. "I messed up… I'm sorry!" He coughed as the roof fell and was now completely blocking their only way out of the room.

Shota coughed as he leaned onto Hizashi, "we're trapped…" he whispered as his body collapsed onto the floor once more, dragging Hizashi down with him.

Hizashi looked around and he cried, his body at extremely high temperatures, feeling burned alive as he hugged his beloved ravenette. "I'm sorry…" he whispered. "If I hadn't had gotten drunk, I would have never screamed at you… you wouldn't have gotten mad…" he whispered as he apologized, fearing that they might not make it out alive.

Shota looked at Hizashi weakly as he finally hugged him back tightly, remembering the argument he had with the blonde a week ago. "I said I would die… the moment you left…" he whispered in a low voice barely hanging onto his consciousness, "I don't know who I am without you…" he whispered as he clinged onto Hizashi tears wanting to roll down his face but the flames evaporated them before they could.

A wood plank fell down with a loud thump, resulting with both Shota and Hizashi flinching and holding onto each other tightly. Hizashi was still trying to find a way out. "Hang on Sho…" he whispered although he felt dizzy from the heat.

Shota looked up at Hizashi with saddened eyes. "Hizashi… there is no way out.." he coughed as he forced Hizashi to look at him. "We promised when we were younger… we would… die together.." he whispered with his grip loosening.

Hizashi lip quivered as he pressed his forehead against Shota's. "I love you my kitty." He whispered with a small smile finally giving in to death.

Shota smiled as he closed his eyes, "I love you my cockatoo..." He replied as he pressed a kiss against Hizashi's lips, Hizashi quickly kissing back. "We'll be smiling when we die…" whispered Shota as he kept his forehead against Hizashi's forehead.

Hizashi nodded as he kept his smile. "Of course… why wouldn't I smile if you're with me?" He asked as a creak could be heard from above them but neither looked up at the roof or even moved. They stayed in eachothers arms. "Together till death?" Asked Hizashi as he felt weaker with every passing second.

Shota nodded in agreement. "Together till death…" he repeated as he leaned in for another kiss, wanting every second to count. Hizashi kissed him back, both wrapping their arms around the other as the roof finally collapsed, falling on top of the pair.

The firefighters finally made it to the scene but they were too late for the two were now dancing in the lovely fields of heaven, with their hands interlocked with each other. Just the two of them and no one else to judge on their love for each other.
