I know I used to spell Hawkmoth like "Hawk Moth", but I think I'm going to doit like this: "Hawkmoth".

(Marinette's POV)

For the next few days, I stayed in the hospital with Adrien until he was finally able to be released. He healed quickly somehow (We think Master Fu has something to do with it). He was healthy, and was fortunately able to walk. We're sitting on my loft, chatting about random topics.

Adrien gets on all fours, a determined yet confused expression playing on his face.

"I feel like a table!" He exclaims, and I burst out laughing. "How can they live like this?!"

"They're cats, Adrien. They were born like that." I grin at him.

He gets up and sits back down next to me, throwing an arm around my shoulders. I lay my head down on his chest, listening to his steady heartbeat.

"Well, that's true. I think I'd be scared if I saw a cat or dog walking on its hind legs." Adrien chuckles lightly. I listen to the vibration in his chest when he talks and laughs. It make me feel calm.

"Imagine how much work we have to catch up on," I say, humming slightly.

"I know, right? We'll have to stay in the library after school and probably pull all-nighters." Adrien replies.

"Well, you're smart. It'll probably take you, like, two days. It'll take me weeks." I sigh, dreading the upcoming work.

He replies with a light chuckle, wrapping his other arm across me. I wrap my arms around him in return, snuggling into his chest.

It feels nice to be at peace. The feeling of calm was pleasant.

Then, out of nowhere, a crash comes through the window and a figure jumps in, starling Adrien and I.

Guess who it is?

Hawkmoth.

"I want the boy!" He exclaims, pointing a finger at Adrien.

We both jump off my bed, ready.

"You're not getting him!" I send a glare to Hawkmoth.

All I wanted was a peaceful day...

He smirks. "I wasn't asking."

He walks towards Adrien, but I step in front.

"I'm not afraid of you. Ladybug and Chat Noir will save us." I grit my teeth, adrenaline controlling my body. Adrien grabs my wrist and gets in front of me, protective. He lets go.

"Why do you want me?!" He exclaims, though we both knew why.

Hawkmoth yanks Adrien's arm, causing him to fall off balance. He landed on the ground with a thud.

Immediately, I grab one of my chairs and throw it at Hawkmoth. He lets go of Adrien to block his face as the chair falls to the ground and breaks into pieces.

Wasting no time, I run up to Hawkmoth and kick his gut with all my might.

He grabs my leg and throws me with ease, and I hit the wall. Hard.

Pain seered through my back and shoulder. I grit my teeth, shutting my eyes tightly.

"Marinette!" Adrien exclaims. I open my eyes.

"I-I'm fine..." I let out a shaky breath and stand up, holding my shoulder.

Adrien growls and lunges, successfully hitting Hawkmoth in his jaw.

"DON'T YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT DOING THAT AGAIN!" He shouts angrily, throwing another punch, but in which Hawkmoth dodges.

I take this advantage to run downstairs. Hawkmoth wouldn't hit his son, I knew that.

Well, I hope so. That one time at school...

When I get to the bakery, I shout to the customers.

"Everybody out and go home! Hawkmoth is here and is looking for a victim!" I shout.

Instantaneously, people start to panic. They grab their young ones and rush out the door. Once everyone was out, I lock the bakery and flip the sign to 'closed'.

"Mama, papa," I call them. They come out.

"What was that all about?" Papa asks.

"No time to explain. I have to transform. Hawkmoth is battling Adrien and I have to save him!"

Just then, I loud thud was heard.

They nod, serious, and we head to the kitchen. I transform.

"Stay safe!" I yell as I leave the bakery.

I swung in through my broken window behind Hawkmoth.

Adrien's laying om the ground, a little but of blood dripping from his mouth.

His eyes are closed.

His face is bruised.

This is all my fault... Hawkmoth actually hit his son.

From behind, I grab Hawkmoth and put him in a chokehold.

"How could you.." I growl in his ear. He elbows me in my stomach and I loosen my grip. He took that opportunity and threw me over his shoulder. I land next to Adrien, bt quickly get up.

"Well, if it isn't Ladybug. I dreamed of this day." He grins.

I glare at him, sending a kick to his jaw. He wipes his jaw where blood had dripped out of.

"Where is Chat Noir? Has he finally abandoned you?" Hawkmoth keeps going. "Such a shame."

I clench my fist. I throw punches at his face, catching him off guard. He falls to the ground, and I don't stop. I keep repeating my punches each one harder than the last.

Anger is filling in my body.

Finally, I stop, but Hawkmoth isn't knocked out. He still grins.

He lets out a deep chuckle.

"What's so funny?!" I demand.

Then, I hear Hawkmoth's voice, but his lips aren't moving.

Then I realize.

He akumatized me...

He took advantage of my anger!

"Ladybug, Ladybug, Ladybug..." his voice rings in my head. "In the end, I always get what I want."

He reaches for my earring. I immediately jump away from him, protecting my earrings. I take a few steps back.

Suddenly, an excruciating pain runs through my head.

"A-ah..." I grab my head, doubling over.

"I'll make the pain worse if you don't give me you're Miraculous." Hawkmoth says calmly.

"N-never..." I muster out, tears forming at my eyes.

"So be it." The pain grew stronger, and I scream.

I fall to my knees, tears running down like waterfalls. I break down.

The pain is so unbearable... I can't take it anymore.

"P-please! Stop! Stop!!" I scream.

"Give me your Miraculous."

I cry harder. I feel a fist come in contact with my jaw. I gasp.

"Give me your Miraculous!" Hawkmoth yells, more demanding.

"I-I can't..."

"GIVE ME YOUR MIRACULOUS!"

"I CAN'T!" I shout back.

He punches me again before wrapping his hands around my throat tightly.

I'm too weak to fight back. I gasp for air as my limbs go numb. I punch his arm with barely any strength as black dots start to cover my vision. Everything goes blurry.

"I always get what I want in the end," Hawkmoth whispers in my ear.

Everything goes black, and I know that I failed.

Teehee.... cliffhanger!

I'm sorry I haven't updated in awhile. I wouldn't say I was busy, just lazy and I had writer's block.

I felt like this story wasn't going anywhere, so this chapter changed that. Sorry for the cliffhanger!

I'll try to update as soon as possible, because I already know what I want next chapter to be like. I'm excited!
