|°Chapter 32: Black Widow°|
{Cat Noir's POV}
I could hear everything.
Everything Marinette said.
The flapping wings of the akuma.
Everything.
But I couldn't move a muscle.
I wanted to scream so badly. I wanted her to know I was okay.
But I couldn't.
"Yes, Hawk Moth." I hear her say, and my heart drops.
M'lady, no...
I can't even open my eyes! I can't see what's going on!
I hear footsteps, and I feel a light kiss on my cheek.
"Don't worry, darling," Marinette said. "Black Widow will bring you back."
The door opened, then closed. I assumed she left.

{3rd Person POV}
Right before Marinette got turned into Black Widow, Tikki fazed through her purse and hid in the nightstand next to a Cat Noir.
She was scared that her owner would lose control and give her to Hawk Moth.
She peeked her head out to get a look at Black Widow.
Tikki gasped.
She looked so... evil. Tikki heard what Hawk Moth told her; that she would spread happiness.
When Marinette left, she flew in front of a Cat Noir.
"Plagg, release the transformation!" She said.
Cat Noir's ring beeped and Plagg flew out. He immediately fell into Adrien's stomach.
"Plagg? Are you okay?" Tikki asked, worried.
"Sorry, sugarcube. When Adrien got shot in his leg, I wasn't strong enough to protect him. I won't be able to transform until I'm healed."
Tikki set a worried glance on him. She went to the door and locked it.
She flew over to him and put his head in her small arms. "It'll be okay, Plagg."

{Marinette's POV}
I run into the waiting room and see the blond receptionist from earlier. I giggle.
"I am Black Widow!" I announce to the people in the waiting room. "I will give you joy and happiness! Ladybug and Cat Noir can't save you this time. I'm gonna get you all!"
I took out my weapon, which was a staff, like Cat Noir's, but mine is black. I touch the receptionist with it and she disappears.
People around me gasp. I watch the bar on my staff go up one.
"Only ten more to go," I whisper as the people start shouting and running, trying to escape me.
"Nuh uh uh," I grin, and take a ribbon from my hair and shoot webs from it, blocking all the windows and doors leading to the outside. I smirk.
"You're all going to help me get my loved one back!" I say happily. The adults hug their children.
"Oh, don't fear fellow citizens! I won't hurt those in pain or those that are hurt! I'll make you happy!"
I tap a tall woman in a business suit with maroon hair. She then smiles to her husband and child.
"We need to help her! Help Black Widow!" She yells to her family who stare at her like she's crazy.
I smirk. I tap on her husband and child, who start chanting the same thing.
"Ladybug!" I hear a familiar voice say from behind me.
I turn around.
Océane...
"Please, Ladybug, don't do this," the girl pleaded. "I know you're hurting, but Hawk Moth is just using you. He doesn't want you to feel happy, he just wants you to do his evil bidding." She says.
"Don't listen to that foolish little girl!" Hawk Moth shouts. I grab my head which was pulsing in pain like a second heartbeat.
"Please," her eyebrows furrow, and she takes a step closer to me. "I've lost my father. My mother died when I was born. I'm homeless now because my other parents got arrested for abusing me."
I feel my heart clench again. "N-no,"
"Attack her, Black Widow!" Hawk Moth shouts again, causing my head to hurt even more.
"I'm homeless now. I only came back to try and find you and make you feel better. Ladybug, I know you're better than this. Let the akuma free and we'll all be fine."
"B-but... what if Cat Noir doesn't wake up...?" I whisper.
Océane steps closer to me, and takes my hand.
"He will," she whispers, drawing me into a hug. "I promise."
"NOOO!" Hawk Moth shouts as the akuma leaves my earring. It purifies itself into a white butterfly.
"I-I'm not Ladybug," I mutter as I watch everything go back to the way it was. I hug Océane back.
"I'm just a friend of Cat Noir." I let go of her.
"I'm so sorry," I say to everyone. "I hurt you all, it's all my fault,"
I see everyone smile.
"We're all hurting," A man in a Hawaiian shirt says, and I recognize him.
"Mast— er, Uncle Fu?" I stutter.
"Hello, Marinette. You should go check on that friend of yours. Something tells me he's okay now."
I ran to the elevators, my heart beating.
I run to H56 and try to turn the knob.
It's locked.
"Hello?" I call. "I-it's Marinette." I say quietly.
"Are you back to normal?" I hear a familiar voice ask.
"Tikki?!" I exclaim. "Yes, I'm not Black Widow anymore."
I pause.
I hear a small click and the door opens.
Plagg and Tikki lay on the nightstand next to Adrien, who is sitting up and smiling at me.
"Adrien!" I yell and run over to him, throwing my arms around him.
"I'm so sorry," I start to tear up. He hugs me back, and I snuggle my head in his warm neck.
"It's okay, Mari," I could here the smile in his voice. I hug him tighter.
"I was just so scared I'd lose you," I whimper as the tears fall down.
"I told you, Marinette, I'll always be by your side."
I let go of him and pull him into a kiss by grabbing his shirt.
He was shocked at first but eventually kissed back. I could taste my salty tears in the innocent kiss. I could tell we both need the kiss. We both need each other.
I pull away. "Don't you ever think about scaring me like that again,"
"I won't, bugaboo. I won't."
"Ahem."
I turn to the door and see a Master Fu.
"I came to come heal Plagg." He holds up a bag.
"I'm sorry Plagg." Adrien apologizes. "I promise to give you lots of Camembert when we get home."
He nodded, not being able to talk. I felt bad.
"You'll be okay Plagg. You went through worse things than this."
