{Marinette's POV}

Just as the Ferris Wheel ride ended, we heard screams.

I sighed.

"Ready?" I ask.

Adrien smirked. He grabbed my hand and led me out, running to a nearby subway.

Seeing nobody around, we transform.

"Plagg, Claws Out!"

"Tikki, Spots On!"

After being in our alter ego, we run out of the subway, hearing cheers from the people.

We stopped, realizing that the Ferris Wheel was no longer it's regular colours, but caked in snow.

"Guess we're dealing with another frozen villain." I said, giggling.

Cat nodded. He took out blue cheese out of his pocket, the one with extra powers. I pull out my also, taking it out from my yoyo.

Throwing up the cheese, Cat Noir shouts, "Plagg, Power Up!"

I do the same. "Tikki, Power Up!"

They ate the treats, Tikki's spot on her head glowing as she closed her lilac eyes.

"Plagglacier!" Plagg shouts.

"Stilac-Tikki!" Tikki follows.

"Plagglacier, Claws Out!" Cat Noir says, changing his suit into a winter themed one.

I giggled at his ending. "What?" He asked. "Nothing," I reply, still giggling.

He shrugged, grinning his infamous toothy grin. "Your turn."

"Stilac-Tikki, Spots On!" I transform, smiling the whole time.

When I was finished, I saw Cat Noir looking at me with such love in his eyes, and a big smile on his face.

"So cute..." He sighed.

"Haha, thanks Kitty." I flick his bell and he snaps back into reality, blushing.

"I am Icebreaker!" The akumatized villain shouted.

He was literally just a snowman. He was shaped like a man, but just covered in snow. His nose though, was different. Instead of a carrot, he had a icicle, which everyone he took it out, a new one appeared. And instead of buttons, he had two black, glimmering gems and a heart shaped gem in the middle.

Cat Noir laughed. "I could really go for one right now actually! Creative name, Hawk Moth!"

Icebreaker growled in anger. He shot long, sharp icicles at us, but we dodged just in time.

"You're quite the hot-head for someone talking about the cold. I think you need to chill out!" Cat Noir taunted Icebreaker.

Icebreaker let out a war cry as he launched himself at Cat Noir, a icicle shaped like a sword in his hand.

Cat Noir took out his baton and started fighting back. I grab my yoyo, about to attack when we saw Alya recording us.

Unfortunately, Icebreaker saw her too.

"Alya!" I shouted. "Run!"

I was too late. Icebreaker caught her in his arms, and put ice blocks in her hands and feet.

"My phone!" She cried out as it froze along with her hands.

"This'll teach you not to bother grown ups while their fighting!" He started to fly away.

Cat Noir and I followed.

"Where do you think his akuma is?" I asked, dodging things in rooftops with my kitty by my side.

Like always.

"I'm not sure yet. But those buttons do look peculiar." He said and I nodded, stopping when I realized we were at River Seine, Icebreaker and Alya nowhere in sight.

"Where'd they go?" I asked to know one in particular.

Cat Noir was about to answer when he turned around, but instead his eyes grew wide and he shouted, "Watch out!"

I immediately turn around, feeling something brush my earlobe slightly.

"You stupid cat!" Icebreaker growled. "Guess where your little friend is? Sinking at the bottom of the river!"

I gasped. "Alya!" I screamed, forgetting about Icebreaker.

I dived into the river.

"Ladybug no!" Cat Noir shouted but it was too late.

I began to swim, looking for my best friend. I looked up to the surface when I realized it was a trap.

The surface was thick ice.

I swam up, pounding my fists on the ice, trying to break it, but to no avail.

I started to panic. I was still able to breathe, but I couldn't stay here forever! It was freezing!

Suddenly, an idea hit me.

Taking in a large breath, I held it and took the yoyo away from my nose and mouth.

"Lucky Charm!" I shouted, using the air in my mouth to say it.

A spotted laser pointer floated into my hands.

What am I supposed to do with this?!

How is this tiny thing supposed to help me in this predicament?!

"Ladybug!" I heard Cat's faint voice over the glass. "Where are you?!"

I pound my fist on the ice, trying to show him, but he didn't see it because he didn't respond.

Then I realize: the ice. The laser pointer.

Duh!

I turn on the laser pointer and made a circle to show Cat Noir where I was.

(Guys let's pretend it works okay)

"M'lady!" He shouted in joy. "Cataclysm!"

I heard the ice cracking, before disappearing into dust fragments.

Coughing, I hold onto Cat as he pulls me out.

"Are you okay?" He asked, concern writing his features.

I nodded. "That was so stupid of me."

"Quite the opposite, actually." He said, pulling me up to stand up with him. "You risked your life to save a citizen. Your friend. That was brave, but then again, anything you do is brave." His kissed my hand.

I looked around. "Where is Icebreaker?"

Cat Noir shrugs. "He just disap-"

Our Miraculouses beep.

"Lets go to my place, recharge, then find him. He can't just disappear." I said, taking Kitty's hand.

I gave it a squeeze before letting go, wrapping my yoyo around a nearby building.

After feeding Plagg and Tikki, we went out to find Icebreaker again.

We had been searching for hours, and the sun was beginning to set, but we couldn't find him.

"How can he just disappear off the face of the Earth?!" Cat Noir exclaims, flailing his arms around in the air in irritation.

"I just hope we find him before it gets too dark." I said. "I don't want to be up all night fighting an akuma."

Cat Noir sighed. "I'm scared that my father is looking for me... I mean, we know he's still alive, since Hawk Moth is active. Why don't we just... I don't know, end it now? Fight him face to face. We can take his Miraculous. Two teens against one man. We could do it-"

"No!" I exclaim. "We can't fight him yet. We're not ready. You h-had a team of four and he still defeated you! We need more training. And with him sending out akumas, can help us. We also need Master Fu to help us train, and recruit new people to be on the team."

"But he-" Cat Noir started but I cut him off.

"Just listen, Cat Noir!" I shout in anger, and his ears go flat. "I can't risk losing you! What if he takes your life, not knowing you're his son, and I'm left alone to grieve?! I can't live without you!" Tears were streaming down my face, and I sit on the building we were on.

Cat Noir remains standing, shocked. I see tears at the corners of his eyes.

I put my head in my hands to muffle my cry, but mainly because I'm afraid to see him cry.

"I-I can't l-lose you, C-cat. I just can't." I stutter through my tears.

"I'm sorry, Ladybug. So sorry." I felt his arms wrap around me, and I hug him back, crying in his chest. He lays down, with me on top, and runs his claws to the strings holding up my pigtails. He lets them loose.

"You should wear your hair down more often," he said softly. "You're so beautiful."

I fall asleep, snuggling into his inviting arms.
