(Cat Noir's POV)

Her smile, her laugh.

Her personality, her eyes.

Oh, those beautiful eyes that shine so bright.

I wish I could save that light.

But it's too late now.

It was a nice evening, Ladybug was just sitting at the edge of the Eiffel Tower.

She looked kind of down, so I hopped and sat next to her.

I didn't know her identity at the time.

"What's wrong, M'lady?" I ask her, staring at the big multi-colored sun. It was so beautiful.

"I don't know, stress, anxiety, school. A lot on my mind lately. Especially being Ladybug and saving Paris and all that." She sighed and I didn't like seeing sad Ladybug.

It was so unlike her.

I have to cheer her up, I thought as I smirked.

I picked up a pebble and held it between us.

"Hey, you see this?" I said and she looked over to the pebble in my hand.

"This is all your stress, school, anxiety, and problems." I smirked and whispered, "Cataclysm."

She stayed quiet for a few seconds before bursting out laughing.

"That- oh Cat, that- that was-" she tried to say through fits of laughter.

"That was awful." She finally finished and I smiled.

"Hey, it made you feel better, right?" I said and she nodded.

She laid her head on my shoulder as we watched the sunset.

Just me, the sun and my galaxy.

The one who helps me see light.

Oh, I miss her.

I want to escape this dark, colorless lonely world I'm in! But I can't since Marinette nor my mother is here!

They helped me see light...the point of life...

How could I have been so blind?

I wish I saw her love for me sooner. I wish I just made my move sooner.

I knew she liked me! Then why?!

Why was I such an idiot? Why?

I transform to Cat Noir and wonder how I was going to capture akumas now.

I'm alone! Even if Carapace, Rena Rouge, and Queen Bee were here none of them could capture akumas!

Paris would be in shambles because I won't be able to save anyone else.

I let down Marinette, now I might let down Paris too.

Does father see me as that? A letdown?

Marinette didn't. I know that.

A civilian and a superhero. Walking down to an ice cream shop.

I was Cat Noir, going to get ice cream with Marinette.

After I knew her identity.

"What is your favorite kind of ice cream, Buginette?" I asked her.

She smiles at me. "Strawberry, of course."

"No wonder you're so sweet."

"Cat Noir!" She blushed and looked away. I smile on victory and blush a little as well.

"What's yours?" She asked me.

"Hmm, blueberry and a lot of others. Blueberry, just like your beautiful bluebell eyes."

"Cat stoooooopppp!!!" She giggled and I opened the door to the ice cream shop.

We ordered and sat in silence. The way she licked her ice cream was so...

...adorable.

Everything she did was so cute.

I laughed as some ice cream dripped on her nose.

I grab a napkin and lean into her face. She blushed a deep red and looked at me.

I got closer and a plan developed in my head. I inched closer and closer, before licking her nose in one swift lick.

"Ewwww!!! Cat Noir that was disgusting!" She said loudly and a few bystanders looked. They took a few pictures of us and I smiled.

She grabs a napkin and rubs her nose. I smile sheepishly.

"Mmm, strawberry is good," I said.

She glared at me and continued to eat her ice cream.

On our way home, I asked her a question.

"Princess?"

"Yeah?" She replied.

"Do...do you think I'm a letdown?" My ears went flat.

"What? What do you mean, kitty?" She furrowed her eyebrows and looked up at me.

"I, I mean like do you think I'm a letdown? Not good enough to be a superhero, not good enough for anyone?"

She stopped walking and turned to me, and gave me a big hug.

"Of course not! You're the best partner I could ask for! You are so selfless, caring, sweet, funny, and kind! Why would you be a letdown?" She said while squeezing me.

I hug her back and she nuzzles her head in my neck.

"I don't know. But thank you. I'm so glad that you're my partner, too. I couldn't ask for any better."

She breaks the hug and holds my hand as we continued to walk to her house.

We arrive and she smiles.

"I had a great time, kitty. Thanks." She kissed my cheek, and I stood there frozen, a dark crimson blush on my cheeks.

She immediately goes inside and closed the door.

I touch my cheek and smile.

I love her so much.

(3rd person POV)

Gabriel makes his way to the top of his house.

The girl's head snaps to the door as he opens it.

"P-please...Let me go. I'll do anything. Please." The girl who was chained to the wall begged.

"Trust me, as much as I look forward to setting you free and making my son happy, I can't," Gabriel replied.

The room was dimly lit, so the girl couldn't see the man's face.

"W-who are you?" She stuttered and tried squinting to see him.

"I'm afraid that classified information."

"Please, I don't want to be akumatized anymore. Please! Tell Hawk Moth to let me go! Please! I just want to be free...It hurts... "

Gabriel felt horrible for the girl, but couldn't let her go. He needed his wife back.

"I'm so sorry, " Gabriel sighed, left and closed the door.

"So very sorry," he silently covered his face and cried on his work chair.
