TW?: Pretty angsty

*Logan POV*

It's the final day of March. Virgil and I turned in our science project, and I am nervous for the grade we get. Virgil is out with Roman currently. He said they were scheming. For what, I don't know. Patton is out getting more cat stickers for his car, so I am alone at his house.

I get a text from Patton.

Hey, can you check the mail? Some should be here rn

Ok

I go outside and to the mailbox. I pull out a few letters. The one on top is addressed to me. I open in.

Meet me on the roof. Tonight at 8

I don't know why Virgil would send me a letter instead of a text, but he usually has reasons I don't understand.

8 PM comes around. Patton and I have separate rooms, but I still make sure I am quiet. I open the window, which doesn't have a screen.

The roof outside the window is much higher than the one at my parents. I need to be very careful.

I see a dark figure. Figuring it's Virgil, I walk up to them.

"Salutations, Virgil," I say.

They laugh. A high, feminine laugh. It's not Virgil. It's Amy.

"Truly sorry about this, but I need my revenge. After this we can get back together," She says.

"What- wait what do you me-" I start to say.

She shoves me. I stumble, waving my arms out in front of me.

I remember a moment of weightless terror as I fall to the ground.

*Virgil POV*

"I can't reach Logan. Can you?" I ask Roman.

The two of us are over at his house, plotting some pranks for Remus. Apparently, Remus shaved part of Roman's head 7 years ago and he's been waiting to get back at him. I happily assisted.

I've tried to call Logan three times in the past two hours. Mostly for ideas. He hasn't responded at all.

"Well, it is 10 PM," Roman says.

"Yeah, so? You know he'd be up studying right now. It's not a school night," I say.

"True. I'll try," Roman says, pulling out his phone.

Three calls later, and nothing. Finally, on his fourth attempt, he picks up.

"Hi, this is Amy. What do you need?"

"Where's Logan?" Roman demands.

"I second that," I say.

"Here, I'll just send you his location,"

Roman's phone buzzes. He hangs up the call and checks the message. His eyes widen.

"What is it?" I ask.

I lean over and see the location on Google Maps. It's the local hospital. My heart drops.

"Please, tell me this is a sick early April Fools prank," I say, grabbing my bag.

"If she wanted to prank us we'd be covered in pink goo by now," Roman says, "Let's go,"

We rush out, getting in my car, and driving.

We see Amy in the lobby. Roman runs over to her, grabbing her arm.

"Hey what the-" she says.

"Where is Logan?" He demands.

"Room 17,"

The nurse lets us into the room and I rush over to him.

"Logan?" I whisper.

Roman stares in shock. He briefly leaves the room and comes back with Amy.

"What the hell did you do to him?" He asks.

"Please tell me this is one of your sick, twisted pranks," I say, clinging onto the hope that this isn't real.

She shakes her head.

"I did nothing. I simply invited him onto a roof and- ok so it sounds like it's my fault but it's not- and so he lost balance and fell," She says.

"You did what?!" Roman shouts.

"It wasn't MY fault!" She protests.

"Get out," I say, my voice deadly quiet.

She leaves immediately. I sit at Logan's side, holding his hand. Roman looks ready to punch a wall. Or Amy's face. I look at Logan. He's unconscious. I silently hope he's just asleep. 

*Amy POV*

Roman shouts at me. Virgil looks like he is ready to murder me without hesitation, so I get out of the room. I hadn't meant to shove Logan off the roof. I only wanted to scare him, maybe damage the roof a little so he got in trouble. 

I hope that he didn't recognize me. That would make getting back together very hard. Or just not as easy. I have been learning a bit of hypnotism lately. Worked great on Patton, but he broke out too quickly for my liking.

*Roman POV*

You know what? Remus's suggestion of hitting her with a bus doesn't seem too bad now. 

"Virge? Panic! At the everywhere, are you ok?" I ask, seeing him start to shake a little.

Several tears slip down his face. I have no idea what to do. 

"Ok, um just- just hang in there buddy, I'm calling Patton," I say.

I exit the room quickly to call him.

"Hiya, Romano!" He says.

I hate that I'm about to ruin his good mood.

"Can you- can you come to the hospital right now? Room 17, there's a bit of a crisis going on," I say.

"Ok yeah, on my way Ro. What happened? Was it Virgil?" He asks.

"No it was- it- it's Logan," I say.

I can hear his gasp.

"Ok, I'm here. What room?"

That was fast.

"17," 

Patton walks in the hallway the second I hang up the call. His eyes are red and he looks like he's on the brink of tears.

"Wh-What happened?" He asks.

I wrap my arms around him in a protective hug. 

"Bad fall. He's unconscious right now. And Virgil is freaking out and I don't know what to do," I say.

We both walk into the room and see Virgil, hunched up in a little ball, shaking worse than before. Patton rushes over to him.

"Hey kiddo, breathe. It'll be ok," He says.

Whatever he tries to do, it doesn't work.

"Ok, um, what does Logan usually do?" Patton asks, turning to me.

"I have no idea," I say.

Just then the doctor walks in.

"Hello. Are you friends or family?" He asks.

"Friends," I say.

"Ok, do you know where we can reach his family?" He asks.

"Well, his parents probably won't care, but he's staying with me and my parents right now. If you need a family contact I can give you his sister's," Patton offers.

The two of them continue their conversation for a few minutes. 

"Oh, another thing. Can you please help Virgil? He's panicking a lot right now and nothing I'm doing is working,"

They eventually calm Virgil down enough for him to be able to speak.

"When is he going to wake up? Is he asleep or just unconscious?" He asks.

"Unconscious. And," The doctor says, "We don't know when,"

Hehe, angst! But I promised DewdropStudios that the next chapter would be extra fluffy, so get ready for a lot of Royality. Also, when writing this I have found that it's nearly impossible for me to write Patton angst. So he gets to be mostly spared.
