Previously...

The screen of the computers on the wall then shows the cave entrance where the whole thing started, except seen from Ari's point of view. It was playing in real time. We were watching the video feed like a movie. We've only managed to watch till the moment Ari and Vivian got kidnapped before my comms was ringing.

"Shut that watch. I'm watching a movie." Knuckles scold me for not putting it on silent mode.

I answered the call and someone on the other end told me that...

Vivian was awake.

Lailani's POV

My answered it and Tails told me that Vivian was awake. Gold looked at me. His expression told me that he knew and heard the news. Tails called us to meet Vivian. Since Ari's mind was being downloaded and she can't move, we had to leave her with Amy as we went to see Tails.

We arrived Infront of the lab and Knuckles entered the lab. Me and Gold stood outside monitoring them from the window. I saw Vivian restrained in a sort of char while there was a weird sort of helmet on her head. She was still feral tho.

Tails was pressing buttons and after awhile injected a syringe filled with an odd colored liquid into Vivian. This seemed to made her calm down. He then gave Knuckles a clipboard. They then exchanged some words but it was soundproof so we couldn't hear what they were talking about. Knuckles then leave the room.

"He's all yours" Knuckles told us and left us alone while heading somewhere else with the clipboard.

We cautiously opened the door and stepped in. Tails was examining the now calmed and tamed Vivian who is now zoning out. When he saw us, he greeted us.

"I'm getting strange readings from her. I can't exactly pinpoint what it is and since you two were the last ones with her before... This, I figured you two can find out something about her" Tails explained the reason why we're there.

"Also, feel free to see if she had anything on her person" He added as he tinker with an invention.

I looked at Gold who was staring at me. When I caught him, he looked away, flustered. I found that to be adorable. Wasting no time, we examine Vivian. I checked her gloves to see if there's anything like a tracker. When I found nothing, I felt a light tap on my shoulder.

I turned to see a horrified Gold with Vivian's vest and... A tracker! I was shocked. The tracker was latched behind Vivian's back. We showed the tracker to Tails who immediately called Knuckles over.

At the same time, Amy barged in the lab.

"You won't believe what we found!" She said with a horrified face.

We ran back to the control where Ari was still hooked to the screen. Amy rewind back abit and showed us a horrifying discovery.

There were many other mobian in tubes and that's not the worst of it. There was a screen with cameras WATCHING the Resistance Base. It could only mean one thing. There was a mole in the Resistance!

Before we could process anything else, there was a suddenly earthquake. We were about to check when the cameras were deactivated. There was a red glitchy static. Infinite had found the base!

We were about to face the threat when I immediately remembered that Ari was still hooked to the screens. I went back to Ari and yanked the cable off her neck. She immediately turned back to normal.

"Uh, eh, what? What happened?" Ari asked after I pulled the cable off. It was as if she had just woken up.

"Wipe that drool off. We're under attack!" I informed the half awake alien of the situation.

"Uh, okay. But first, can I ask for something?" She asked.

Gold POV

We stood outside. The airship was overlooking above the Resistance. I didn't realized Lailani wasn't with us. But before I could notice, something came out of the airship. It landed directly infront of us. It was a huge cargo.

The cargo then suddenly burst to reveal a giant robot. It was different than the other Eggman's robot. It was buff and it's armour was different as well. It lunged towards Knuckles.

He was distracted for a moment. But as soon as he got attacked by the bot, he was helpless. The robot's arm became a buzzsaw and was about to saw Knuckles head as he struggled to slow it's progress.

"A little help here?" Knuckles noticed our shocked expressions.

Amy knocked the robot back off him with her piko hammer. She lend out a hand to Knuckles. He stood up and finally prepared himself for the next attack this time.

"Thought you didn't need any help?" Amy sarcastically asked Knuckles.

"Let's just fight this guy first" Knuckles dodge the question.

The robot got up again and this time instead of going after Amy or Knuckles, turned to me and prepared to attack and immediately lunged towards me.

I couldn't react fast enough and was prepared to brace myself when suddenly it got hit by an indigo blur. It was too fast for me to make out who it was.

I got up to help my mysterious savior when suddenly I was once again attacked by an assailant. This time, it was another mobian with a phantom ruby embedded in them once again. Seems like Eggman and Infinite decided to upgrade to Mobian instead of flickies.

Thankfully, this attacker was not as heavy as the robot. I knocked him back as I regain my footing. He got up and flew towards me at full speed. I was about to punch him until I hesitated. It was still an innocent person. I instead caught him. He was very strong but not strong enough as Knuckles punched him away from me.

"Knuckles!" Amy yelled at the enraged echidna.

"What?! He started it!" The echidna snapped back.

Amy facepalms her face. It was obvious that none of her words are getting into his head. He's just too stubborn.

I sighed and got up. I turned to look back at the mobian. He was heavily injured. Knuckles really didn't hold back. I turned to look at the robot but I didn't see anything. Great, just as I was about to thank them.

Tho I wonder what Sonic is doing. He must be aware that the base is under attack, right? Also, where the heck is Tails and Shadow? Aren't they supposed to be here?

( I won't lie. This chapter sucked. I'm having a major writer's block and just type this all in randomly and just go with it. This makes me wanna die. Anyway, have a nice day)
