As Infinite pressed Lailani's throat harder and harder against the glass tube, until it cracked revealing the ultimate lifeform, G.O.L.D

"Won't you just shut up already?!" The being yelled

Infinite was taken aback by this and dropped Lailani. She gasped for air.

"You'll pay for this... INFINITE!!!" He said while charging towards him

Lailani POV

As I fell and gasped for air, I can see Gold trying to fight Infinite. I saw Ari hiding in one of the cabinets, signaling me to come. I scurried my way towards her.

"What are you doing?" I asked the alien who seemed to be stuck in place.

"Not getting caught in their scuffle. Plus, it looks like a cat fight out there" She said while pointing towards the boys who seemed to be hissing and occasional scratching was exchange.

I let out a small laugh but stop. ' No, this is a serious situation. I must not get distracted' I try to put on a straight face. But it's so hard if you can see and hear it.

As their fight seemed to not come to an ending as their power was equally matched, Infinite seemed to realize this and ran past Gold and activated a lever. The loot gave away to reveal tubes of mobians inside. They all had a phantom ruby inplanted in them. They were also wearing masks so we couldn't identify them.

The liquid in tube was drained and the mobians inside burst out. There were three of them! Before anyone can blink, one of them immediately attacked Gold. The impact was very strong. The other two joined and started beating him up.

My heart sunk as I watched them play with him like some sort of toy. I feel sick to the stomach. I was gonna come out of my hiding place and help him but Ari pulled me back. She hushed me and pointed at Gold.

He got up and was emitting a very powerful aura. He managed to beat up two of the attacking mobians and knocked them unconscious. Infinite attacked him repeatedly but he still stood as if he has nothing to lose.

He then attacked them randomly as if he throwing away all of the attacks that he possibly knew. But not even that is enough and Infinite knocked him out.

I couldn't take it anymore and ran towards him, Ari trying to hold me back to no avail. I ran to his side and checked him. I then checked my watch.

' Oh no, it's almost midnight' I tensed as the clock was at 11: 58. I really don't want Gold to see me like this.

"Lai....la..." I can hear a weaken voice called out to me. I turned and saw Gold partially conscious.

"I... Want to... Tell.. you.. that I..." He struggled to speak.

"W.. what is it?" I held him close. I wanted him to stay conscious alittle longer. It's far too soon for him to die yet.

"I... I..." He muttered before losing consciousness. I held my breath. He's gone.... There's nothing left to.... No! I must not think like that!

But... He's not moving... His breathing is very faint... You could easily mistaken him to be dead unless you have good hearing. Ahh, it's almost midnight now. Just a few more seconds.

I saw Ari running towards me and Gold's body. I can't take it anymore. I'm about to turn now. At least Gold won't be able to see me like this.

" Hey, what happened? He just flipped dead!" She exclaimed. Even at times like this, she's still trying to make jokes. Can't she read the room? I clenched my fists but quickly calms down. No, knowing Ari, she's probably trying to lighten the mood. But is definitely bad at timing.

"Hey.... Ari...." I spoke without looking at her.

"Yeah? What?" Ari asked with a confused look.

"Can you take care of Gold for me? I'm....gonna do something" I said while my fur was slowing showing up.

Ari seemed to under stood what was going on.

I stood up and walked away from them and approach Infinite in a menacing manner (yare yare daze).

Midnight now...

(Sorry, let's just say that lots of stuff happened. Had writer's block. A cat of mine died, had to take a break. And..... Some of my progress got deleted, accidentally. Sorry y'all. Anyway, I wanted to try a new style on the drawing. I accidentally deleted the old profile and had to redo everything. I think I prefer this better 🙂)
