Lailani Pov

As Ari's head hit the ground, I can feel my blood run cold. Fear strikes me in ways I never thought was possible. If that thing can kill Ari, what would happen to me? I didn't want to know.

The thing saw me and immediately looked at my direction. I quickly hid from the point of view. No way I'm going to be killed like Ari.

I checked the window the check if the coast is clear. The thing was gone. Where did it go? That still has me scratching my head.

Well, I'm not gonna stay here and wait for someone to kill me. I got up and starts to head to a nearby door. Wherever I end up, I can fend myself. I have a new mission now. Find Gold and rescue Vivian and get the heck outta the ship.

Ari's Pov

Ow, my head. What happened? I opened my eyes and saw my body on the ground looking pretty lifeless. Aw man, did my head got chopped off again?

I shouted at my body to pick me up. Hey you, stop lazing. Get me up. My body got up and starts to find my head. What? No, you idiot. Not over there. Over here! Yeah, here.

Finally, it picked me up. About time, I was getting very tired of not having limbs. It attached me to it's cut off neck and it magically connects and I finally have control again.

Okay, time to process what just happened. I was searching for stuff, saw Lailani, tried to say hi, got head cut off and now here we are. I'm sure people will believe that ( I meant that sarcastically)/. Okay, time to search for a way outta here.

I got outta the room and saw those laundry bots coming again. I quickly hid in one of the laundry baskets again. But this time, instead of just passing me by and take a different basket, they took the exact same basket I was hiding in.

They pushed the basket through halls and rooms and finally found a chute. They opened the chute and just dumped all of the dirty clothes (including me) in there.

I started falling in the chute and landed in a pile of unwashed laundry. I was buried under the piles of clothes. I peeked my eyes a little and saw some laundry bots doing the laundry. There were three of them.

I didn't want to waste my mana to take them out (see this time, I'm using my brain). So I snuck between them and got some clean clothes. Why you asked? Easy, it's cuz I smell like unwashed laundry.

I got the clothes and headed somewhere to change then I realized a robot was heading where I was hiding. I saw a washing machine so I quickly hid inside of it. The robot activated the washing machine. And there I was, spinning in a washing machine.

The robots left ( I assumed for another basket of laundry). I got out of the machine and dried myself up by shaking my head violently (you know, like an animal) I took the clothes and magically swap them with the prison garment that I was wearing.

I assume this clothes belong to one of the prisoners that was in the cages. But that doesn't matter now since I got cleaned now. At least it wasn't like a carwash.

I got outta the laundry room and stumbled into a hallway. Man, egguy have a thing for hallways. I avoided some robots and as I was passing in the hallway. I saw my reflection in the glass. Huh, a new haircut.... Not bad. Still better than the barber.

There was a map in the hallway and there was an armory!!! I wasted no time and immediately teleport there. I got there in one try and boy, I was in heaven (sorta). The weapons were just there, begging me to use them. I was very tempted.

Gold Pov

I was running through the hallway, searching for Lailani. I ran into the lab to search for her. You thought that the name of the room would put me off, like any normal person. But nooo!!! I was so determine to look for Laila. Because as soon as I step in, I saw someone that I tried to avoid so desperately.

It was Infinite. I quickly hid behind one of the test tubes there. I saw him talking to someone but his face was shadowed so I don't know who he was.

Infinite Pov

I congratulate one of my minions on turning his wife into one of our minions. My plan to break the golden child is almost complete. But first I must eliminate the pests that got on the ship.

Back to Gold's Pov

Infinite was speaking in an odd language to the person. But somehow he looks so...... How do I say this? Familiar.....

Infinite then turns to the person and said " Well, congrats to helping me get rid of your wife, Jack "

I was shocked. Jack? That's my dad's name. The person got out off the shadows and reveal himself as Jack,...... My father..

But why? Why is he here? And why did Infinite mean by ' get rid of your wife' ? Did.... Did he kill mom? No! I refuse to believe that!

"Alright, you may now leave, Jack. Get rid off the pests on the ships but spare the purple one. She may be useful" Infinite tells dad. Dad nodded and left the room.

'purple one' ? Is he talking about Lailani? Oh no, I have to warn her! I tried to sneak out of the lab when I heard the most dreadful words ever.

"I know you're there........" I heard over my shoulders.
