Three Years Later...

Tumbleweed sat in his tent, thinking, How'd she change so much since we met? It's so weird... I mean... she was nice, for a while. Then it happened, and she just doesn't remind me of the same dragon I met.

He walked out of his tent, stretched his wings and sighed. He walked over to his stall, a smile on his face. Thud!

"Owww..." Watermelon hissed, looking up at Tumbleweed.

"Morning, Melon," Tumbleweed said, smiling.

"Mo-" He stopped to yawn. "rning Tumbleweed. Sorry about that." 

"It's fine, buddy," Tumbleweed said.

Watermelon smiled and ran off towards the marketplace.

The marketplace was full that morning. Tumbleweed decided to not open his stall, but he sat behind it, organizing everything on the small shelves behind it. He opened a small rabbit skin pouch to find that it was full of small gold and silver trinkets. With nothing more to do, he put them on display on his stall.

"Singing mountains!" Tumbleweed yelled, his left hind leg searing with pain.

He immediately turned around to see a tall, skinny all-white Icewing standing there, her teeth bared. Tumbleweed slammed his wings shut, got into a battle stance, bared his teeth and raised his tail menacingly.

"What do you want from me?" Tumbleweed growled, his claws digging into the dirt.

"You'll come with me first, we'll ask questions later." The Icewing hissed in an Irish accent.

"Hmm, I'm a bit busy at the moment, how about in a few years from now?" Tumbleweed said, smirking.

"Enough with these idiotic games!" The Icewing screeched, lunging for Tumbleweed.

He was fast. The Icewing was faster. Her long serrated claws grazed his side, and he ran towards a more populated area. He had hoped that he could lose her in the crowd.

He made it to the inn and entered. He limped as fast as he could, and Secretslayer had an extremely worried look on his face.

"Three moons! What in Pyrrhia happened?!" Secretslayer asked.

"It's kinda complicated. And by that I mean, I have no clue." Tumbleweed said, sitting.

He could hear a faint hissing sound, and he realized that Secretslayer was melting the frost breath off his leg.

"I... Thank you." Tumbleweed said smiling.

"Don't mention it, after all, you helped a lot a few years back," Secretslayer mumbled.

"Clearly I wasn't too helpful," Tumbleweed hissed, pointing to the little nub where Secretslayer's wing was missing.

"LOOK OUT!!" Secretslayer yelled, breathing out a jet of flames to counter the ice the Icewing had blasted.

"Secretslayer!" Tumbleweed roared.

He turned to look at the Icewing, her ocean blue eyes glistening. She charged at Secretslayer, her claws ready.

Tumbleweed jumped in front of Secretslayer, his tail-barb raised menacingly. He breathed out a plume of fire in the Icewing's face. She roared in pain, swiping her claws at him.

He tried to stab her with his tail,  but she caught it and stabbed it into his hind left leg. Tumbleweed screeched with pain and quickly got out of her grasp.

"Go!" Secretslayer yelled.

"But-"

"Just go!" Secretslayer yelled, shoving Tumbleweed out of the inn.

He jumped on top of the Icewing and bit her neck. Blue blood slowly trickled down her neck, and it stained Secretslayer's teeth.

Tumbleweed flew to his tent and grabbed a small glass vial that had Brightsting cactus juice inside. He poured a small drop onto his leg and he grabbed his largest camel-skin pouch and stuffed a few items into it:

Some Brightsting cactus, healing herbs, gold trinkets, a water-filled bottle and some camel jerky. 

Tumbleweed slid the pouch on and ran out of the tent. He made it to Bracken's hut, and he ran in.

"Bracken?" He yelled.

Her hut was relatively small. A small cushion was all that was inside. And Bracken wasn't there either.

"What? Bracken?" Tumbleweed yelled again.

He ran out of the hut and saw the Icewing standing outside the inn, red blood dripping from her talons. He lifted off and flew away from Possibility, wondering. 

Wondering where Bracken was.

Wondering where he'd go.

Wondering who that Icewing was.

Wondering why that Icewing was after him.

Wondering what she'd do to get him...
