Meet Vanessa. Your average teenage girl. She loved hair, makeup, Instagram, and celebrities. She lived in Illinois. One day she found out that her favourite singer ever, Taylor Swift was coming to Chicago! She begged and begged her parents everyday for tickets but they kept saying the same thing. "We just don't have the money." But for her birthday they had given her the best surprise of her life! Can you guess what it is? That's right Taylor Swift tickets! And that's where our story begins.

Vanessa's POV.

"Oh my gosh! Mom and dad that was the best concert ever! Thank you so much! You are the best parents ever!" I hugged them tightly. They laughed and we walked back to the hotel.

When we got to the hotel I noticed a crowd of people outside but I just ignored it. My parents gave me a key to my room and they told me that they would be up later. I walked over to the elevator which was about to close. I ran and a man inside held it open for me.

"Thank you" I said to him and he just smiled. I couldn't really see his face because he had his hood up and he was wearing sun glasses. As we were going up I noticed the elevator slow down a little and then it stopped. Uh oh.

"What happened?" I asked.

"No no nonono!" The guy said. "This can't be happening" he said as he took out his phone to call someone.

"There's no service!" I walked over to the buttons and pushed the emergency button.

"Hopefully we're not in here to long!" He nodded.

"I'm sorry the powe-r i-s out. You'll jus-tt have to sit tigh-" the emergency call cut out.

They guy sat down and took off his sunglasses. My jaw dropped as I saw his beautiful face. "You're Shawn Mendes!" I said. He smiled and nodded. Oh my god! I'm stuck in an elevator with Shawn Mendes!

I sat down next to him and smiled.

"I was at you and Taylor's concert tonight. You both did so good!"

"Thanks! I'm glad you had a good time."

"I had a great time! Can I get a selfie?"

"Sure!" He smiled and I took out my camera. We smiled and I took a couple just to make sure they were good.

"I'm starving I didn't eat dinner" Shawn said. I heard his stomach growling and I reached in my bad to find a bag of chips and a couple of chocolate bars that I put in there before.

"Here I always carry food with me. I know it's not a meal but I can't let you starve." I passed his the food.

"Thank you" he smiled and ate.

We sat in awkward silence for a bit until Shawn broke it, "so I didn't get you name?"

"Oh I'm Vanessa." I introduced myself and shook his hand. We both laughed and continued to talk about random stuff for a while.

After the most random conversation. I don't even know how we got to talking about this but Shawn and I were sharing our cheesiest pick up lines.

"If I could rearrange the alphabet, I would put U and I together." He said. I laughed and tried to think of one.

"If you were a vegetable, you'd be a cute cumber"

"You look familiar. Did we have a class together? I could have sworn we had chemistry"

"That was actually quite cute" I said, "Do you work at little Caesars? Cause your hot and I'm ready"

We both bursted into laughter and then Shawn said, "Are you from Tennessee? Because your the only 10 i see."

"Okay you win that was definitely the most cheesiest one!" I said with tears from laughing so hard. Shawn smiled at me.

We were having a great time considering the circumstances. We got to bond like two normal people.

"This is actually turning into quite a fun night" he said, "It's fun actually having fun and joking around with someone. You know the old fashion way without phones or anything. And I don't have people nagging me all the time about my career. I feel like that's all I am now is a singer. It's hard to just chill out like we are right now." He said and we both smiled at each other.

I didn't know what time it was because our phones were both dead but I knew it was late and we were both tired and not thinking. But we were in the moment and Shawn leaned over and so did I. Our lips connected in a soft sweet kiss. I felt a spark. It was like fireworks. It was magical. We pulled apart for a second and then Shawn grabbed my face and pulled me back in for another kiss. This time it was more passionate. We had to pull away to catch our breath. Shawn smiled at me while breathing heavily, "Uh I'm sorry I don't know why I did that" he said embarrassed.

The next thing I knew I was pulling him back in for another kiss.
