Ash's POV
I was cradling Serena I was still completely shocked. I could hear Queen Grace Yvonne yelling as she was being restrained again. She was hysterical at this point.

"You killed my daughter!! How dare you!! You killed my sweet daughter!!" She was shouting angrily. "Persian use fury swipes!"

I hear the snap of a chain and soldiers screaming in pain throwing out their own Pokémon. I didn't know a Queen could snap like that...

I slowly put Serena on the ground. I close her eyes with my fingers, and put her hands on her chest.

I then stand slowly. I hear Braixen and Sylveon mourning. As I stand, I grab a sword off the ground, and I slowly raise my head. The King had a look of accomplishment on his face.

Greninja and Pikachu appear on my two sides. Latios, and Latias were guarding the door. Lunala and Yveltal were flying above me, hatred raging.

There's this power I've had with Greninja. It happens whenever I need it to, whenever our bonds are at it's max. That's what happened now..

"Let's get him Greninja!" I shout. Greninja nods, and you could feel the surge of power.

He became enveloped in a veil of water, spiraling towards the ceiling. It destroyed where it hit the ceiling. When it disappeared, Greninja came out looking a little like me, and had a giant Water Shuriken on his back.

"I am going to free both our regions!" I shout as I raise the weapon I held towards him.

"I'd love to see you try!" Shadow, the King shouts, as he draws his bloodied blade.

He throws three Pokeballs. They reveal Kyurem, Giratina, and Palkia. They all train their eyes on my Pokémon. I hear explosions outside. Part of a wall collapses to show a massive battle ensuing. Looks like the rebellion got my message...

I turn my head back to the King, and rush him with my sword pointed towards his throat. I had hatred flaring in my eyes.

Greninja, Lunala, and Yveltal, attack each of the legendary Pokémon. I can hear Serena's brother, Calem calling out attacks for his Pokémon, along with Serena's mother and father doing the same. I also hear Calem and her father swiping with swords. How they got them, I don't know.

I reach Shadow, and bring my sword to his throat, he simply blocks it, and keeps blocking it whenever I send I stab his way. I miss once, and he goes on the offensive.

"This is for you own good Ketchum!" He shouts between swings, which I barely manage to block and dodge.

Outside, I can hear the cries of the multiple Legendary Pokémon, breaking free from their Pokeballs, and the screams of terror of the higher members of the military.

As me, Greninja, Lunala, and Yveltal battle, I keep thinking of Serena. Her smile, her eyes... they all captivated me. I can't believe they were gone along with her.

Greninja goes and attacks the King. It wasn't to attack him, but the three masterballs he had in his possession.
He manages to grab two of the masterballs, and smashes them, freeing Kyurem and Palkia.

As this happened, I ducked out of the way of another swipe. I keep getting forced backwards. Outside, the entire army was in full retreat. Seems like the rebellion had won.

However, the battle between me and the King hadn't been completed. As officers of the Kings army were either slain or taken prisoner, I was still blocking and ducking swipes and stabs.

I've just about had enough. He gets a lucky shot, and swipes into my arm, cutting into it. Rage overtakes me, and I go back on the offensive.

"How dare you!" I shout as I stab at him ferociously. Calem, and his mother had stopped to watch what was happening.

"You take our kingdoms, threaten to execute us, and kill her! How dare you!!" I yell at him. I start swinging my weapon even more wildly.

My movements are fast. He can't keep up. Calem comes up behind me and checks on Serena. He knew, he just had to be sure....

"You will never hurt anyone ever again! I swear I will end you!!" I shout as I stab at him a final time.

I go for his face. He manages to dodge most of it. However, my weapon clips the side of his face, causing him to scream in pain. He staggers backwards, putting his hand over the wound.

I about stab him through his stomach. I was a few inches away, just a few. Then he smirks, and teleports somewhere. I turn around just for the feeling of a sharp object enter my stomach. The King had stabbed me.

He then leans and whispers into my ear. "You may have freed Kalos, but at what cost Ketchum?"

He then teleports away, after he pulls his sword out of my stomach. Giratina had teleported with him. I'm standing there for a few seconds. I was near Serena...

I stagger to the side, then collapse right next to Serena. I couldn't believe it... I was so close... as my consciousness fades, I look towards Serena. I hear someone yell for a healer.

Instead of that, I see a blue deer Pokémon, representing the letter X. It stands above me and Serena. It looks down with sympathy.

A blue pulse comes off of the Pokémon. The pulse quickly reaches me and Serena, causing a blue aura to form around us both.

I can feel my injury disappear, the blood under me and Serena, it all disappears. I regain my vision, and I can see clearly. I had been saved from death.

I slowly sit up, and watch the aura around Serena brighten a little. When the aura disappears, I can hear her take a small breath. She moves a little, and her eyes flutter open.

"Serena!!" I shout as she takes in her surroundings. I grab her hands in between my own.

"A-Ashy.... what happened?" She asks.

"I thought I lost you!" I shout as she sits up. I hug her tightly, and she hugs me back.

"It's okay Ash." She says with a weak smile. "I'm here."

All the battling had stopped. The rebellion had hung the flag back up. Kalos had definitely been freed.

I can hear her mother, brother, and father, all running up to us. I didn't care if they knew this way. I have a feeling they already do. Me and Serena stand, still in our embrace.

I then release her from the hug. I cup her face with my hands, and pull her to where our faces are inches apart.

"I love you Serena..." I whisper.

She smiles weakly. "I love you too Ashy..." she whispers back.

I then bring my lips to hers, and move my hands to her waist. Serena moves her hands behind me, and wraps her arms around my neck.

I could feel her family looking at us both with happiness. I could hear fireworks being shot off from the castle courtyard, telling the region that Kalos had been liberated....
