Ash's POV
As he stares at me with dead eyes, but a smirk, he says his final words. "Good job... you murdered me... but I'll be back..."

With that, the King, Shadow, had been slain. He was gone from this world, hopefully. For now, at least he was gone.

I push Shadow away from me and stand, rubbing my throat. The way he had me held, hurt my neck a lot. I look to see Serena with her hands shaking.

I rush to her and embrace her. "Serena what's wrong?" I ask grabbing her shoulders, and releasing the hug.

"He's dead.... I helped kill him...." Serena said as she started shaking everywhere.

"Serena. It's okay, you did what you had to do." I respond with a glint of sadness in my eyes.

"Ashy.... what if he had people that cared about him?" She counters.

"I don't think many would care for him... even his parents" I say as I embrace her again.

When I release the embrace, I look her in the eye. Then I lean in and kiss her again. This seems to cheer her up. She stops shaking and concentrates more.

"Pika Pi!!" I hear Pikachu shout, and I hear footsteps.

I continue to kiss Serena for a few more seconds, before I turn towards Pikachu and my family.

You should've seen my sisters face. She was completely shocked that she saw me kissing someone. I smile at her which causes her to smile.

"Ash!" My mother shouts as she pulls me into a hug. She was ecstatic that I came back.

"And who's this beautiful young lady?" She asks curiously. Then she looks closer. She gasps.

"Aren't you Princess Serena from Kalos?!" My sister, Emily shouts.

I feel a pair of arms wrap around me from behind. I turn my head to see Serena smiling brightly.

"That would be me." She responds happily. I give her a quick kiss on the forehead

"Ash!" My mother shouts. "You found someone!"

"Relax Delia. It's just a girl, that he couldn't possibly love." My father states only to bring confusion to my eyes.

"Okay, father. I really love Princess Serena." I respond.

"Well if you say so. I believe you then." My father says smiling.

I look as everyone starts laughing towards where Shadow was killed. He was gone, but he was dead. Maybe someone moved his body already. I sure hope so.

As officials from the rebellion make their way inside the castle, and begin to talk with my family, Serena pulls me behind one of the pillars in the throne room.

"Thank you Ashy." Serena whispers

"For what Serena?" I whisper back curiously.

Serena's POV
"Thank you for being there for me, and saving me earlier." I say quietly

He caresses my cheek with his hand, and places his hand on my cheek, as I relax my head into his hand.

"You don't have to thank me my sweet.. I'd do anything for you." Ash responds as he rubs my cheek with his thumb.

"Your the best Ashy... I truly love you." I tell him as I take a step closer to him.

"And I truly love you as well, Serena." Ash responds as he pulls me to him. "And nothing can change that." He finishes smiling.

I smile brightly and lean towards him, which Ash leans towards me, and we meet our lips halfway, and we kiss again.

"Hey! Lovebirds!" I hear someone shout from right next to us.

Me and Ash both quit kissing, and jump away from the boy in surprise. I start pouting because I thought we were alone there.

"And it's Gary." Ash says sadly. "What's up buddy?"

"Nothing much. But what's up with the Princess and you?"

"Nothing!" Me and Ash shout.

"Your blushes tell me otherwise." Gary says smirking.

Ash sighs. "Okay fine. We are a thing." He says reluctantly

"And both of your families approve of this?"

"Yes Gary, they approve!" Ash yells.

"Alright, alright! Well cmon this way, there's a surprise for you both." Gary says as he motions his hand.

Me and Ash grab each other's hands, intertwining our fingers, and follow Gary. There was no one in the throne room. It was strange. There were people that were just here!

After we follow Gary outside, there was cheering.

"Congrats on liberating Kalos and Kanto Prince Ash and Princess Serena!" Gary yells

I was shocked. I don't think me or Ash expected the surprise. We accepted it and raised our hands into the air, showing we were holding them everyone erupted into cheers.....
