Chapter 11 - The Final Battle
Serena's POV
I can't believe I convinced Ash to come with with. I had literally died, and was brought back to life. I guess I wanted revenge.
It was too late anyway. We were already landing at the front of my castle.
"Ashy, are you sure he's here?" I ask, clutching his arm.
"Yes of course, where else would he be." He respond. "Also I'm sure he's recalled his remaining military."
"Your right about that my Prince." A familiar voice says. I turn to look at Cyrus, standing and glaring at us. "Why don't we finish what we had started." He adds smirking.
"We'd love to, but we really should be going." I say, pulling Ash towards the door.
Without warning, he throws his master ball, revealing Dialga, who blocks the door, glaring at us as well.
At that moment, multiple hyper beams hit the Legendary Pokémon, causing it to fall over. I look back to see multiple flying Pokémon, flying overhead with trainers on them.
Then there's that one boy, the one my father hoped I'd fall in love with. It was Lucas, flying on a Salamence, flying towards me.
He stops in front of me and Ash. He looks at me holding onto Ash's arm. I can see hatred flare in his eyes, and he flys off and away. He may be a problem later now... but now I have to keep my eyes on the problem now.
Ash grabs my free hand while the Kanto rebellion holds off Dialga, and the rest of the Kings army. Ash tells Pikachu to go look for his family. I tell Sylveon to follow him.
Then me and Ash run into the throne room, hand in hand, ready for anything. This was it. Time to end his reign.
"Ah, Prince Ash, Princess Serena. Your alive." The King says angrily as he stands from his seat.
"We are here to end your reign Shadow!" Ash shouts as he throws his 3 Pokeballs in the air. I follow his lead, throwing out my three.
"So it's the hard way eh?" The King laughs. "We'll bring it." He says as he throws two Pokeballs. They reveal Giratina and the Tyranitar that almost hurt me when it began. I back away with a sudden fear.
"Looks like she is still scared of you Tyranitar." The King says triumphantly.
"Serena." Ash says calmly. "Cmon there's no reason to be afraid of that Tyranitar." He says grabbing my shoulders.
I then see The King hold up a stone. It was shiny, and was perfectly spherical. I point it out to Ash and his eyes widen.
"Okay, maybe there's a reason to be afraid." Ash restates.
The King laughs maniacally as Tyranitar glows and changes form into something a lot more menacing.
"Okay, Serena I have a plan, you just won't like it."
"What is it Ashy?" I ask worried.
Ash's POV
"What?!" Serena yells at me after I tell her the plan. Our Pokémon had already engaged the two Pokémon.
"Listen Serena. Our Pokémon need a leader. You can be that, while I end The King for good!"
Serena kept refusing. I had to do this. I saw a chain, and I had a pair of handcuffs. I did something unthinkable. I handcuffed Serena to the chain, and ran off.
"Ash no!! Don't do it! It's not fair!! It's not fair!!!" I hear Serena shout as I run at The King. She accepts it, not easily, and starts calling out commands to our Pokémon.
I reach the King, as I draw my sword. I bring it down on his shoulder, but he manages to block it with his own weapon, last second. Our blades had begun to clash again.
The battle outside had already stopped. The rebellion had been victorious. The Kings army had been defeated, and destroyed. All were prisoner, or slain.
I had kept being on the offensive. The King had deflected all shots I had swung at him. He was fast, but he wasn't faster then me. I knew I could over power him easily, like last time. It would just take me some time to get the advantage.
I had missed once again, and The King had changed the tides. I was now on full defensive.
I could hear Serena desperately calling out attacks for our Pokémon. Tyranitar had fallen, and was unconscious. Giratina kept absorbing the shots, taking little damage.
The King had disengaged from me, and was running towards the restrained Serena. I had done that, and I wasn't about to let that kill her. Not this time, and I will never let her die, so I gave chase.
When he reached Serena, she screamed and ducked out of the way of the first swipe. The second one was about to hit her neck, but I blocked that one, bringing his attention back to me.
"You can't win this Ketchum!" The King shouts. "I will kill you and your lovely before I go down, do you hear me?!"
I quickly disengage, and throw the handcuff keys to Serena, as Giratina had finally given up, and fallen. You could hear the crash on the floor. The crash was loud and caused shockwaves.
Me and the King kept changing between who was on the offensive. Serena was watching from behind me, and I could feel her worried eyes burning into me.
What gave me strength, was the need to keep myself, and Serena alive. I couldn't fail.
I eventually overpowered the King with my swift sword strikes. His sword went flying off and lands in front of Serena. I put my sword to his throat.
"This is the end Shadow!" I shout as he smirks. I quickly try bringing my sword to him, by the time I did, he had grabbed the hilt, and thrown it out of my hand.
Then he grabs me by the throat and pins me to a pillar, choking me. I was struggling to get any air to my lungs. Then he pushes harder, causing my air ways to no longer gather any air.
"I told you Ketchum.... you can't win!" He shouts as my vision starts to fade. I couldn't believe it... I was about to die, that would also be Serena's fate.
"Ash! Catch!" I hear Serena shout. I can see the sword just barely making it out. I grab it with my hand, and thrust it quickly into the Kings chest......
