3. The Court
"Dad, Where are you going?" The twins are lying on the couch lazily, watching their father tying up his shoelaces. A dark blue suit over his white shirt, two buttons left open, along with dark blue pants and black shoes. The attire is same except for a pilot cap that wasn't on his father's head. "I am heading to the Warren and Watson company."
"What for?" Blair asks, blowing off a strands of her brown-black hair from her face.
"Cedric called me an hour ago, informing me that there is a crisis in the company. I have to go and fix the issue." Kyle stood up, fixing his sleeves.
"But that company is Uncle Cedric's workplace. What does this has to do with you?" His son questioned further.
Daniella came into the living room, standing in front Kyle, "It is because your father and uncle Jay are the heir of the company." She answers, buttoning his shirt at top before putting on his tie.
The twins were astounded at hearing her words. They both gave each other a quick glance before shooting a perplexed look at their parents. "Then how come we don't know about this?"
"I don't want my kids to act superior in front of everyone. Just because you both are future heir of the company, that doesn't mean that you are extraordinary." Kyle contended, giving a stared look at his kids.
"Then why are you working as a pilot and not actually engaging yourself into the business?"
Kyle and Daniella gave each other a suppressed grin. Both of them knew how much enthusiasm their kids are when it comes to interrogation. "Well, when I came to know about your mother's pregnancy, at that time I thought for joining the company. When was it? I was seventeen. . . eighteen?"
"Seventeen." Daniella amended his words, stepping out of his way once she completed fixing his tie.
"Yeah." He paused while shifting his gaze to his kids. "At that time, I wanted to provide a comfortable life for her. After all, she was pregnant with you two. So I seeked for your grandfather's permission in taking over the business for a while."
"Once your mother got college degree, I followed my dream in becoming a pilot."
Blake tilts his head, pondering over his father's words. "And what about the company?"
"The company is still under me. Just a minor change that I visit every month, insuring that it is running smoothly."
"So wait, what if I or Blair wants to be CEO of the company?" Blake asks, sitting straight, ignoring his sister's perplexed look in his direction.
Kyle shrugs, "Depends on your ability to handle it. If you are compatible with the job more faster than your cousins, then chances are more. Why asking this?"
Blair opens her mouth to say something but Blake swiftly covers her mouth, muffling her words. "Nothing."
Kyle narrows his eyes at him for a second before glancing at Daniella, whispering, "I thinking he is hiding something."
Daniella smiles, encircling her arms around his neck, "Don't worry. We should not pressurize him."
Kyle smiles back at her, encircling his arm around her waist, staring at her grey-silver eyes. "Why are you so beautiful?" He bluntly asks. He leans forward, pressing his lips over her. Daniella's eyes fluttered shut, bringing him as close as possible. Kyle slanted his lips, thrusting his tongue down her mouth, tasting her. She moaned in response while her hands roamed through his dark hair.
"They are doing PDA in front of us and they aren't even feeling shameful." Blake commented sarcastically while watching his father's hands roaming around her mother's body. "Okay, this is sick. THERE'S AN EARTHEQUAKE!" He shouted and both of them jumped apart from each other.
"And. . . the earthquake is gone." He finished sweetly, earning glares from his parents and laughter from his sister.

"Mom! I am back!" Blake announced, shutting the main door behind him before walking towards living room and plopped on the sofa. "Mom?"
There was no answer. The house is completely silent except for all the noises Blake is creating. He rose up from his seat, walking towards the kitchen. "Mom, what are you-" He was cut off when greeted with the darkness of the kitchen.
His brows knitted in confusion while he pursed his lips. Where is Mom? He thought.
He remember that his basketball practice will end at 5:30 while her sister's dance practice has been extended to 6. Plus he remember hearing from her mother that she won't be staying in the building once the school gets over.
Blake pulled out his phone from his pocket, dialling her mother's number and pressed his phone against his ear. His patience was getting thinner and thinner when the call wasn't being picked up. He called his mother again and again and again but it was useless. She isn't answering to his calls. Fuelling up his anger, he pressed the red to end the call and he walked out of the house, asking for Benson's help.

Daniella dribbled the basketball easily before glancing at the basket and then back at the ball.
For past three hours, Daniella was spending her time in the basketball court near the Southmeadow garden. From time to time she used to come to the abandoned court. It must have lost its beauty but memories can't be forgotten.
Daniella lips started twitching upwards when she remember Kyle bringing her to the court in their first date. It might not be romantic for anyone, but for her, she was living in dreams.
She dribbled the basketball then held it firmly in her hands while staring at the basket. She aimed the ball towards the white area under the inner strip red lines. She threw, the ball hit the area and went down through the net.
Basket!
Happiness was filling inside her on knowing that she can still shoot. She never felt this much happiness except for that first date with Kyle. She wanted to be back in his arms now. She checked the time on her watch and decided heading back home.
It took her 30 minutes to reach back home. When Daniella opened the door, she was greeted with angry Blake and worried Bensons.
"Freddie, Carly. What are you two doing here?"
"Blake came to our house and he said that you were missing. So we had to call Kyle and-" Carly answered but she was interrupted by Daniella.
"Missing? Why would you think I would be missing?" Daniella asked, shifting her gaze to her son.
"Well, for an important thing, you weren't answering to my calls and I getting scared that something might happen to you." Blake bursted.
Daniella widen her eyes in surprise before she gives a sweet innocent smile. "Well. . . I left the phone back home before heading to my spot."
"What!? How come I never heard the phone ring?" He questioned further. Daniella walks her way to living room, watching Blair giving her mother 'I-am-sorry-I-can't-help-you' look. Sighing in response, she rummaged her phone out from her handbag. She checked her phone before glancing back at her son and the Bensons, giving them innocent look. "I accidentally kept it on silent."
Blake groaned and the Bensons shook their head in disappointment. "Daniella, anything might have happened to you. Next time, don't keep your phone in silent mode and remember to have it with you all the time." Freddie instructed. Daniella sighed before nodding at his words.
Everyone heard the main door burst open. "What happened? Where is Daniella?" They heard Kyle screaming.
"She's over here, Dad." Blair yelled back.
Daniella saw her husband entering the living room and her heart fluttered at his sight. "Hey Amigo, Carly. What are you two doing?" Kyle asks the Bensons while shaking Freddie's hand and giving a kiss on Carly's forehead.
"Your son came to our house and asked for finding Daniella." Carly replied.
Kyle sighed frustratingly, glancing at his wife. "Daniella, didn't I told you to keep your phone with you all the time?"
"Sorry." She spoke softly.
"C'mere." Kyle opened his arms for her to hug, and Daniella accepted it gladly. "You literally gave me heart attack. Not to forget, Cedric became more clumsy when he heard it."
"Oh, you went back to your company?" Freddie asked him inquisitively.
"Yeah, had some crisis. Now it's all fixed." Kyle raked Daniella's hair, kissing her head lightly. "Please don't repeat it. He whispered.
"I won't." She whispered back.
"Alright, we have to head back. I have to prepare dinner for the boys or else they will continue nagging me all night." Carly announced, tapping on Freddie's shoulder.
"Nagging? We don't nag." Freddie protested.
"Of course, you don't." She sarcastically replied.
"Alright guys, we are heading out." Freddie said, giving a kiss on Daniella's forehead and he and his wife walked out of Monrovo's house.
Blake was still angry at his mother that he didn't even bother to look at her. "Blake, I am sorry I didn't took the phone with me." Daniella pleaded.
"Okay, I will forgive you once you tell me where were you?" Hearing her son's words made Daniella stiff. She didn't wanted to say this to anyone. She wanted to keep this special between Kyle and her, but looks like it has to be revealed.
"Yeah, Dany. Where were you all this evening?" Kyle pondered as well, raising his brow and crossing his arms over his chest.
Daniella in defeat, answered, "I was in the court."
"The court?" Kyle and the twins asked in unison.
"Yeah, the court. Remember? You took me there occasionally." She spoke softly, concentrating her attention on Kyle.
Kyle, on the other hand, was surprised and happy at hearing this. The court, the basketball court he took her on their first date. It was nearly impossible for him to forget those moments when he saw Daniella basket for the first time. He was equally thrilled like her. He remember her tantalising eyes when he dropped her off to Lizzy's apartment. That sudden rush for caging her in his hugs was getting on his nerves.
"I remember that place. You still visit there?" Kyle asked her curiously while Daniella nodded. That brought 100 watts smile in his face. He gave her a bonecrushing hug while showering kisses on her face.
"Okay, am I the only one who is getting irritated with their PDA?" He whispered to his twin. But Blair was fangirling at their sweet moment, leaving Blake groan to himself. "Okay, I am gonna separate them. THERE'S AN AFTERSHOCK!" He shouted but their parents didn't even flinch, were busying showing their affection to each other.
"Looks like they are immune to your voice."
