Alesa's POV

I was hanging out with Shelby in my room, when I heard a weird noise downstairs. "Shelby? Was that you?", I questioned. "Was what me?", she answered, confused. "The noise. Didn't you hear it?", I asked. She shrugged. "Alesa, are you going crazy?", she replied to my question with a question. I shook my head, and heard another creak, and looked to Shelby. She was pale, even paler than before. The color had drained from her face, and she was shaking in fear. I got a vase from my nightstand, and slowly walked downstairs. I went into the living room, and 2 boxes were sitting there, with me and Shelby's name on it. Everything seemed normal, and nothing seemed damaged or broken.
(I dont know if I mentioned this, but Adam's power is water. Jess' is ice, and Jin's is fire).
"What is that? Do we open it?", asked the very bewildered Shelby. I nodded. Shelby opened hers, and read it aloud.

"SHELBY, YOU ARE NOW ONE OF THE EIGHT. YOU ARE THE EIGHT OF LOVE. YOUR FRIEND, ALESA, HAS BEEN CHOSEN AS THE EIGHT OF LIGHT. THREE OTHER PEOPLE HAVE BEEN CHOSEN AND ACCEPTED THEIR POWERS. THEIR NAMES ARE JINBOP, ADAM, AND APHMAU. YOU SHALL GO COMPLETELY NORTH, UNTIL YOU REACH A HOUSE IN THE WOODS.
THERE, YOU SHALL BE TRAINED TO FIGHT EVIL. INSIDE THIS BOX, YOU WILL ALSO FIND THE SOURCE OF YOUR POWER, A BRACELET. IF YOU TAKE IT OFF, YOU DON'T HAVE POWERS ANYMORE. GOOD LUCK.", She read.

She found the bracelet inside of her box, now for mine.....wow...
Inside was a pin lined with crystallite, a rare rock, and mini-pearls. It was beautiful. I put it on, and felt AMAZING instantly. Finally, I broke the comfortable silence by saying, " Let's go pack and leave at midnight.". She nodded, and we headed off to our rooms.
