Paralyzed
"I have an idea," Josh said as he sat in the bath tub, Tyler helping bathe him as they did every other night.
"Hm?" Tyler hummed, dumping some water atop Josh's hair, running his fingers through it.
"You know I'm absolutely in love with you," Josh said.
Tyler smiled softly, blushing a bit. "I-I know, Joshua," he giggled softly.
"And you know I'm gonna marry you."
Tyler smiled again, kissing Josh's forehead and holding his left hand up to show the ring Josh had proposed to him with. "Can't wait."
"And I really, really, really want to walk you down the aisle," Josh said.
"You will walk me down the aisle," Tyler said.
Josh shook his head. "Actually walk you down the aisle. Not be in the chair while holding your hand as you walk. Actually walk you down the aisle."
"O-oh," Tyler said. "Well..."
"I know it sounds crazy," Josh said. "I know it does. It really, really does, but I want to do it. I've gotta do it for you."
Tyler sighed. His fiancé was so, so sweet, but to be honest, he wasn't positive he'd be able to do it.
He leaned forward and kissed Josh's lips. "Let's get you dried off and talk about it more in our room."
He stood up, leaning over the tub and grabbing Josh's arms firmly, helping him stand up on his legs shakily.
He got Josh to their room, setting him down on the bed. Josh lied back, rubbing his eyes.
Tyler dried off his body before handing Josh his shirt.
Josh put his own shirt on while Tyler put his boxers and his sweatpants on his legs.
Joshua was paralyzed from the waist down, meaning he had no feeling in his legs.
Tyler, his fiancé, helped bathe him, dress him, and so many other things to take care of Josh. But Josh took care of and supported Tyler just as much.
Josh looked at Tyler as he got into bed next to him.
"I'm gonna do it," Josh said. "I'm gonna do it for you."
"You don't have to, baby," Tyler said, kissing his forehead. "Don't stress yourself out about it."
Josh shook his head. "I'm doing it. And that's that."
Tyler ran his fingers through Josh's hair, nuzzling his nose into his neck.
Josh wrapped his arms around Tyler's petite frame, kissing the top of his head. "I can't do it without you, though."
"If you really, really wanna do it," Tyler said. "There's no way I could keep you from doing it."
Josh grinned, hugging Tyler tightly. "You're the best, y'know."
Tyler giggled, kissing his chin. "You never fail to make me feel important, Joshua."
"Because you are important!" Josh said. "The most important thing to ever exist!"
Tyler blushed, continuing to giggle and kissing his lips softly. "Shhhh, Joshie."
Josh grinned widely as he kissed Tyler back deeply.
"Are youuuu excited for fun that night?" Josh hummed.
Tyler giggled shyly. He was so nervous yet excited to have sex for the first time. "Y-yeah."
"It's gonna be so fun," Josh said. "Promise. I'm gonna make it super duper romantic and fun and you're never gonna ever wanna do anything but sex ever again."
Tyler blushed deeply. "Such a romantic, Joshua."
"Only for youuuuu," Josh hummed with a grin, kissing his lips.

For months and months, the boys worked on Josh walking every day.
Their goal was for Josh to be able to make it seven yards, having measured out the length of the aisle.
Just a week before the big day, Josh made it seven yards.
He immediately collapsed afterward, but still. He had made it!
They celebrated that night with ice cream, Tyler kissing all over a sleepy Josh's face and telling him how proud he was of him.

"You ready, baby?" Tyler asked with a wide smile.
Josh grinned and nodded.
Tyler grabbed Josh's arms firmly, holding onto Josh's right arm with his left tightly as they slowly made their way down the aisle.
Honestly, Josh could have gone a little faster, but he wanted to enjoy the moment.
"We're married," Josh said shakily as they walked the most important seven yards of their lives.
"I know!" Tyler smiled widely. "I'm your husband now! And you're my husband!"
Josh stopped and grinned widely, kissing Tyler's lips deeply.
Everyone laughed as they cheered and cheered for the boys. Josh was always so affectionate towards Tyler, especially in front of people because he was just so... in love with him.
It always made Tyler blush. He didn't like being the center of attention, but Josh loved showing everyone that Tyler was his.
They made it their seven yards, Josh getting back in his chair. He grinned up at Tyler, making the brunette smile shyly.
He grabbed Josh's hand and they made their way to go have their photos taken.

Josh smiled as they sat up at the groom table eating their dinner at the reception.
"Guess what," Josh grinned.
"What?" Tyler smiled shyly.
"You're Mr. Dun. And that means you're my husband," Josh said.
"I knooooow," Tyler hummed, kissing his nose. "And I'm so happy, Joshua. So, so happy."
"Guess what I'm gonna do tonight," Josh said with a wide smile.
"Joshua..." Tyler warned , shooting him a look with a giggle. "There are people around."
Josh then grabbed a microphone and announced to all of the guests.
"Attention, everyone!" He said with a wide, goofy grin. "I'd just like to take a minute to... talk about my wonderful, beautiful, amazing husband, if that's okay."
Everyone clapped.
Josh smiled, intertwining his fingers with Tyler's.
"I met Tyler when he was 16 and I was 18. And I could actually walk. Like, by myself. It was cool. Our relationship was really cool. I took him slow dancing a lot, I'd always lift him up and carry him into places just to see his cute blush, we'd do tons of things that made us both really, really happy and made us fall deeper in love. But all those things required me being completely self-sufficient when it came to walking and taking care of myself."
Tyler kissed the back of Josh's hand gently, making Josh smile softly as he looked over into Tyler's eyes.
"But then I went away to college on a football scholarship. And while I was extremely excited, I was also really, really upset because Tyler would still be back in Columbus while I was in California. But we promised each other we'd talk all the time and he'd come down and watch me play a few times a year and I'd come up and spend all of my holidays with him. Sorry, mom and dad."
Everyone laughed.
"But then one game, I hit the ground and I never got back up on my own again," Josh said. "I woke up in the hospital room because I heard someone sobbing. I opened my eyes to see it was Tyler, holding my hand. Except, I didn't feel him touching my hand. I didn't even feel my hand itself. And that's when I knew something was wrong. I tried to speak but I couldn't form the words I wanted to say. It was the scariest moment of my life."
"He eventually realized I was awake, and he immediately started kissing me all over. It's funny, actually, because he does the exact same thing every single morning. I'm always woken up by him sitting on top of me, kissing all over my face with the cutest smile. Anyways. He started telling me everything that happened, and he broke it to me I was paralyzed from the neck down, and we discovered I couldn't speak, either."
"I fully expected him to break up with me. I actually, honestly, kind of was hoping he'd break up with me. Because he didn't deserve to have to be in a relationship with someone who'd have to be taken care of all the time. Someone who wouldn't be able to feed or bathe or dress them self. He's just... he's just too perfect for that. And he still is to this day. I thank God every single night for giving me Tyler, and I thank Tyler every night for staying with me. Because instead of breaking up with me, he started doing everything he possibly could to take care of me."
"He started doing flash cards with me to help me get my speech back, he came and cheered me on during physical therapy, even doing it with me. He was and still is my rock, the only thing that keeps me grounded. And over time, I was talking again. Talking so much that Ty used to say "hey, Joshua, I love you and I'm so proud of you, but it's really hard to sleep when you're talking on and on and on." But that was the only way I could express love to Tyler- through words."
"But a year after the incident, I was able to move my arms. It happened during the one therapy session Tyler wasn't there for, and I wouldn't let anyone touch me until I got to Tyler, because I wanted the first thing I did with my arms to be to hug him. I still remember how excited I was when he walked into my room. I screamed his name and he jumped because it scared him," Josh laughed. "I told him to come here and he did, and I hugged him as tightly as my incredibly, incredibly weak arms could, and we both just broke down sobbing."
"Once he was 19 and I was 21, we move in together. And I was so, so nervous for it because that meant Tyler was going to become my caretaker, too. Which I felt so... guilty and juvenile for, but he was absolutely amazing, especially the first night. He knew I was nervous, but he was so sweet, just as he always is, and took everything nice and slowly and made sure I was always comfortable."
"Ty made so, so many sacrifices because of me. He'd really, really wanted to wait until we were married to sleep in the same bed together and see each other naked and that type of thing, but he wanted, even more, for me to have the best possible care, so he sacrificed all those things that were so, so important to him just so I'd feel comfortable. And that really speaks for who he is. The most caring, kind-hearted person to ever walk this planet."
"A few months ago, when we were laying in bed one night, I told tyler I wanted to walk him down the aisle. Because he had always, always dreamed of that. And while I won't be able to carry him over the threshold into our room tonight, or slow dance with him on the balcony, I wanted to give him one special wedding memory, and we did it. We did it together, and I wouldn't have been able to without Tyler. I wouldn't be here without Tyler."
"He's the love of my life. He's my soulmate. He's my rock. He's everything I could have ever dreamed of and more. A-and I'm so, so happy to finally be married to him and get to give him a happily ever after."
Tyler was sobbing, sitting on Josh's lap and hugging him tightly.
Josh smiled softly, holding Tyler in his arms as everyone erupted in cheers. He gently rubbed Tyler's back, kissing his face softly.
"J-Joshua," he cried, holding Josh's cheek in his hand softly as he looked into his eyes.
"That's me," Josh said softly with a goofy grin. "Your husband."
Tyler laughed through his tears, continuing to hug Josh tightly.
The wedding went on for several more hours, everyone dancing. Josh just sat up at his and Tyler's table and watched everyone.
"Go dance, baby," he told Tyler, who had been sitting by him all night. "You know you want to."
Tyler shook his head. "I'm just gonna stay with you."
"C'mon, we only get one wedding. Go dance that cute booty off out there. Have fun."
"If we only get one wedding then I'm really, really just staying with you," Tyler said, kissing Josh's cheek with a soft smile.
"You know," Josh said. "If I could dance, I would've given you a lap dance in front of everybody."
"Joshua!" Tyler exclaimed, blushing and giggling.
"It would've been to a good song, too," Josh said. "Oh well," he sighed.
"Is this you hinting that you want me to give you a lap dance?" Tyler giggled, his eyebrows raised.
"What?! No, no. I mean, yes, oh my god, yes, if you want to, please do," Josh said quickly. "But no, that wasn't me hinting at it."
"Maybe you'll get lucky on our anniversary," Tyler giggled, squeezing Josh's hand.
"I'm already the luckiest guy on earth," Josh smiled. "Can't get much better than this. Actually, tonight's gonna be really good. Really really good. That'll be slightly better than this because we'll be making out and I'll get to see your cute butt naked for the first time."
Tyler blushed, his nerves flooding back to him.
He had absolutely no idea what to expect tonight.
