Night Out
Tyler furrowed his eyebrows as he saw he was receiving a phone call from his husband.
Typically, while Josh was at work, he was too busy to make any personal phone calls.
He answered it.
"Hello?"
"Hey, baby," Josh said, he was grinning as he leaned back in his chair at his desk. "What's up?"
"Um... not much," Tyler said. "Just at Target grabbing groceries. Is everything okay?"
"Everything's perfect," Josh replied. "Would you, my dear love, care to accompany me on a beautiful night out tonight?"
"Sure," Tyler said, smiling shyly. Even after over 12 years of being together, he still felt special whenever Josh asked him out on a date. "What's the occasion?"
"Love," Josh grinned.
Tyler giggled shyly, covering his face as he was left a blushing mess in the middle of Target. "W-What should I wear?"
"Something comfortable," Josh hummed. "Typical snuggling attire."
"Aren't we going to be out in public, though?"
"Mayyyyybe," Josh grinned. "Just trust me. Snuggle clothes."
"Well that's always either pajamas or underwear," Tyler giggled.
Josh laughed. "Joggers. Joggers and a t-shirt, baby."
"Okay," Tyler giggled. "I can do that."
"I'll be home around six and we can head out then. Sound good?"
"Perfect, Joshua," Tyler smiled softly. "I love you."
"I love you more," Josh grinned. "Can't wait."

Tyler was putting away the laundry he had just folded when he suddenly felt two strong arms wrap around him from behind.
"Hello, beautiful," Josh hummed with a grin, kissing Tyler's cheek.
"Hi," Tyler smiled, turning around and hugging Josh's neck and kissing his lips.
Josh grinned, kissing him back happily. "You ready?"
Tyler nodded.
"I'm gonna change really quick. I'll meet you in my car, yeah?"
Tyler nodded, Josh kissing his forehead before he left.
He opened the passenger's side of Josh's Jeep, blushing as he saw a bouquet of roses waiting for him on the seat.
He took them inside and set them in a vase with water, Josh coming downstairs to find him.
"Why're you being even more romantic than usual tonight?" Tyler asked.
"Because it occurred to me a few nights ago, following some amazing, amazing love making with him, that I have not asked my husband out on a date in almost a month. And that's far, far too long."
Tyler smiled shyly, kissing Josh's lips. "You didn't mention it at the time."
"Prolly because I always stay up for an extra hour after you fall asleep to admire your beauty without you covering your adorable face because you get so cutely shy," Josh admitted.
Tyler blushed deeply, hugging his neck tightly.

"Uh, babe," Tyler said as the car started to violently shake after half an hour of driving. "You're off the road."
"It's ok," Josh assured him.
"We're going up a hill..."
"Mhm," Josh hummed, nodding his head.
They got to the top, Josh backing his car up in reverse so the back was facing off the hill.
He got out of the car and opened the back, revealing a blanket with pillows laid out as well as a picnic basket.
"I thought we'd have a nice snuggly dinner while admiring the city at night," Josh said.
Tyler smiled widely, kissing Josh's lips. "I love you."
Josh grinned. "You like it?"
Tyler nodded, the boys hopping in. Josh sat with his back resting against the seats behind him, Tyler sitting between his spread legs.
"It's so pretty, Joshua," he said softly.
"Not half as pretty as you," Josh said.
Tyler blushed, kissing Josh's hand since he was holding it.
They ate their dinner, which was all Tyler's favorites, and snuggled up facing each other, finding one another much more interesting than the city lights.
"I'm so lucky I have you," Tyler said, caressing Josh's cheek gently as he looked up into his eyes, his heart fluttering softly.
Josh kissed his forehead. "I'm the lucky one, getting to fall asleep with you in my arms every night. Sometimes even naked."
Tyler giggled, poking Josh's stomach. "We we're having a really romantic moment."
"Sorry," Josh grinned goofily. "I just have to say it every so often to make sure it's my reality. And it is. My dream life is my reality."
Tyler then got on top of Josh, straddling him and beginning to kiss him softly, Josh more than happy to deepen it.
Tyler ended up falling asleep on top of Josh, his husband's touch being able to give him so much comfort.
Josh kissed his head softly as he gently ran his fingers through Tyler's hair, admiring how angelic his husband looked. "I love you, baby. Sleep well."
And, even in Tyler's sleep, he gave a soft smile.
Joshua couldn't believe Tyler was all his.
