First Day Married
Tyler woke up with a smile, his eyes remaining closed as he soaked up the warmth of the bed.
He opened his eyes slowly to find his now husband looking at him with the biggest smile.
"Good morning, love," Josh said softly, pulling Tyler closer with his strong arm, their noses and foreheads touching.
"Good morning, love," Tyler replied with a smile.
Both boys' smiled widened as Josh connected their lips, Tyler's hand sneaking under the covers to find Josh's, their fingers intertwining. Josh squeezed Tyler's hand, running circles into the back of his hand with his thumb.
Their lips broke apart a minute later, the boys just laughing softly just out of pure happiness.
"We're married, love," Josh said softly. "You're my husband now."
Tyler smiled, kissing Josh's nose. "I'm finally Tyler Dun," he hummed happily.
Josh grinned and nodded. "Can't wait to get to introduce you to everyone as my husband, Tyler Dun."
"I'm so happy, Joshua," Tyler replied. "That was the best day of my life."
"Me, too, love," Josh smiled.
Tyler giggled as Josh pulled him on top of him, Josh sitting up as Tyler sat on us lap straddling him. The smaller boy leaned forward, his hands gently resting on Josh's chest as he kissed him.
Josh grinned and happily kissed him back for a while before they broke apart, looking into each other's eyes as they pressed their foreheads and noses together.
"I've got the most beautiful husband," Josh smiled.
Tyler blushed shyly, falling even deeper in love with Joshua by the second.
"What do you want to do today, love?" Josh asked.
"Be snuggled up with you. All day," Tyler said honestly with a shy smile.
He giggled as Josh suddenly scooped him up and carried him into the bathroom, the boys walking straight into the walk-in shower because they were already naked from the night prior.
"Maybe we could order some room service to eat while we open the gifts after this, yeah?" Josh asked the boy in his arms.
Tyler hummed and nodded. "Sounds wonderful, Joshua."
"Unless there's something else you'd rather do between now and then," Josh grinned.
Tyler smiled, kissing Josh's lips deeply.
"Is that a yes, love?"
"It's always going to be a yes from me, love," Tyler replied.
So after their shower together, Josh led Tyler by the hand back to the hotel room's bed where they had sex for only the second time ever. The first had been the night before.
Afterward, they lied in bed facing one another just as they had when they woke up.
"You're so beautiful, love," Josh told Tyler as he ran his fingers through his husband's hair. "I'm so lucky you're mine."
"You're spoiling me with all this love, Joshua," Tyler blushed, shyly readjusting his fingers as Josh held his hand.
"I love you," Josh said, looking deep into Tyler's eyes. "I'm so, so madly in love with you, Tyler Dun."
"I love you more," Tyler replied, kissing him softly.
The boys lied in bed exchanging sweet nothings for several more minutes before Tyler's belly started grumbling.
Josh laughed. "You're so cute, love. What sounds good for breakfast?"
Tyler giggled at the sound his stomach was making, turning on his other side to reach the bedside table and grab the room service menu.
Josh scooted over to Tyler's side of the bed so he was spooning him as he looked at the menu over Tyler's shoulder, caressing his bare side softly and pressing sweet kisses to his naked shoulder.
He couldn't stop thinking about how perfect Tyler was. He couldn't believe that he had actually gotten to marry the boy of his dreams.
"Waffles," Tyler eventually said with a smile. "I'm in the mood for waffles, Joshua."
"Sounds good," Josh said. "Two orders of waffles for the Dun husbands," he grinned.
Tyler giggled, Joshua calling room service on the hotel phone and requesting their meals.
"Wanna open gifts now, love?"
"You're so warm, Joshua," Tyler hummed as he snuggled into his husband. "Just a few more minutes of this."
Josh smiled at his precious husband, kissing the top of his head and nodding.
Eventually, the boys decided to open all the gifts from their guests last night.
Tyler was beyond excited to see a pair of mugs that both said "hubby" on them.
He thought that would be his favorite gift until he opened a gift that was addressed only to him, from Josh.
"Joshie..." he said with a shy smile. "You didn't have to do this."
"Open it, love," Josh smiled.
Tyler opened it to find a journal that was completely full of entries over the time of them being together.
Several from three years ago, when they were only just beginning to date. Many from when they were engaged, and one from the night before.
Tyler,
My sweet, sweet Tyler.
My love.
My life.
My everything.
And, officially, my husband.
I'm currently writing this as you lie asleep next to me, the sweetest smile on your lips. The same smile that made me fall in love with you as soon as I met you a little over three years ago.
You were only 22 at the time. I was 24. And now, here we are, you now being the 25 year old and me being the old 27year old. I still remember that day. I remember it perfectly.
The moment I saw you, I knew. I knew you were the one. Your gorgeous smile was infectious. And everyday I wake up thankful that I had the courage to go up and talk to you. Because I was so worried to. I was so, so close to not saying anything because I thought you were just far too perfect.
But luckily, I did. You told me your name was Tyler. Tyler Joseph. You were just so... beautiful, love. There's no other way to put it. We talked for hours, and I got your number.
That night when I went home, I knew I didn't want to forget a single detail about that day. So I wrote it down in this journal.
Everyday with you is a remarkable, new adventure. And sadly there's not a journal in the world big enough for me to write every single detail of every day down. But for the last 3 years, whenever we've hit a new milestone, I've written down all the details, here in this book.
Today, we got married.
We got married, Tyler!
You're my husband, I'm your husband. You're Tyler Dun. I couldn't be more excited to finally be able to officially start our forever together.
And, we had our first time tonight. The night we've been looking forward to for so, so long.
The night we made so many sacrifices for.
And it was even better than I imagined.
Everything about you is even more perfect than I imagined it could have ever been.
The way your body moved, the way you'd whisper in my ear how much you loved me, how much I meant to you, how special our now marriage is to you.
The way you kissed me with more meaning than ever before, the way you looked so deeply into my eyes I could feel the love between us, the way you had me stop in the middle of it all to give you a hug because you couldn't believe it was finally happening.
The way you held my hands the entire time because you were scared, yet you were so brave putting all of your trust in me for me to take care of you tonight.
Because that's my job, love. To take care of you, love you, hold you, and be there for you. Forever and ever.
And now, here we are, two hours later. We snuggled up together, both nearly in tears as we poured out our hearts to one another, repeating our vows so only each other could hear.
You told me you didn't think anything could ever top the connection we made last night. But guess what, sweet Tyler.
We have so many more nights like that to come,
You made tonight so special, Tyler. And I hope I did the same for you.
I cannot wait to continue our forever together, Tyler Dun.
You mean the world to me, because you are my world.
My love, my life, my everything.
I'm all yours, love. I'm all yours.
All the stars,
Joshua.
Tyler was sobbing. He wiped his eyes and tackled Joshua in a hug, kissing his lips deeply.
"Y-you're so perfect, Joshua," he cried. "Y-you're so perfect a-and wonderful a-and amazing a-and I couldn't ask f-for a better husband."
Josh smiled, rubbing Tyler's back softly as the boy sat in his lap.
"Y-you're the best thing t-that could have ever happened to me," he continued to cry. "Y-you make every day so special a-and make m-me feel so, so important a-and loved a-and cared for a-and... I just... o-oh my god, I love you, Joshua Dun."
He kissed Josh again, Josh kissing him back deeply.
"I love you," Josh said softly, running his fingers through Tyler's hair. "I love you so, so much."
After Tyler had calmed down a bit, the room service had arrived.
Josh grabbed it from the door and brought it in, setting it on the bed.
The boys sat together, Tyler still crying. He was so incredibly moved by everything Josh had written.
So Josh cut up bites of waffle and fed Tyler, the smaller boy unable to take his eyes off Josh because he couldn't believe that he was all his. He was just so madly in love.
"I-I... Joshua," Tyler said a few minutes later, still in tears as he wrapped his arms around Josh's neck.
Josh smiled, hugging him back softly. "Shhh, love, it's okay. It's okay, love. I'm right here. I've got you."
Tyler pulled back, holding Josh's face and looking into his eyes. "I'm a mess," he said with a soft giggle as he sniffled, tears still in his eyes. "You make me a mess, Joshua. The happiest, most loved mess."
Josh laughed softly. "It's okay, love. Deep breaths. I'm right here," he held both of Tyler's hands in his own.
Tyler couldn't believe that you could possibly be as in love with someone as he was with Joshua in that moment.
After they finished eating, Josh started them a bath, turning off the lights and lighting candles around it.
The boys got in together, Tyler between Josh's legs with his back against his husband's belly.
Josh rested his chin on Tyler's shoulder as he had his arms wrapped around the boy.
"You looked stunning yesterday, by the way," Josh said softly. "In your wedding suit. You were breathtaking. But you always have been. Always will be."
Tyler smiled softly. "You know how I feel about you in suits," he giggled softly.
"Ohhhhhh, yes," Josh said with a goofy smirk. "What's the word I'm looking for? Oh, right. Sexy."
Tyler giggled, turning his head and kissing Josh's cheek. "So sexy."
Josh laughed, shaking his head. "We haven't had many goofy moments since before the wedding."
"I know," Tyler giggled. "It's so weird."
Joshua was incredibly goofy, which Tyler loved. So that meant that they were constantly having moments of laughter because of something he said or did.
But the last 24 or so hours had been all so serious and intense, in a great way, of course. But still. The boys liked laughing at goofy things.
"So yesterday, I'm getting ready, right?" Josh says. "I'm getting out of the shower, put on my boxers, get on the full suit, do my hair, make sure I've got the vows, everything."
Tyler nodded.
"Well," Josh laughed. "I was literally on my way downstairs to the ceremony when I realized I had on my boxers that have weenie dogs on them. And I didn't think much of it, until I realized I wouldn't have time to change between then and when we were... you know... gettin' naked. And I really, really didn't want our first time to be going really well, really sexy, then for me to be in weenie dog boxers."
Tyler snorted in laughter at the thought of the boys taking their suits off in order to have their first time, the thing they'd been looking forward to for years, and for Josh to have on goofy boxers.
"I love you so much, Joshua," he said. "Please never change."
The rest of the day the boys just ate room service and snuggled up together wherever they felt like it.
That night, they had their third time, Josh having done a similar situation with the bath tub by only having candles providing light to the room.
It was all so perfectly romantic.
They lied together snuggling afterward, their hands roaming each other's bodies.
"So, love," Josh smiled. "How was your first day married?"
"So perfect, Joshua," Tyler grinned, kissing his lips. "All thanks to you."
