Ex

"If anyone believes that these two should not be together, bound in love by marriage, speak now or forever hold your peace," the pastor said.

"I disagree with the marriage of these two," a female voice said. Josh and Tyler turned to the audience, seeing Josh's ex girlfriend standing with a smirk.

"Joshua..." Tyler said softly, there were tears in his eyes.

Josh's eyes widened. "N-no, no, no, baby!" He quickly said. "I-I didn't invite her! I don't know why she's here! I haven't talked to her in years!"

Tyler was starting to cry, thinking that Josh had been cheating on him.

"O-oh my god," Josh said. "I-I promise you, baby, I-I haven't. I could never do that to you. I would never do that to you."

"Joshua has been and is madly in love with me," the ex said. "For the past 5 years."

Tyler started to sob, quickly running down the aisle and away to lock himself in the room of the hotel he had been getting ready in.

"Tyler!" Josh shouted, sprinting down the aisle and following him.

Tyler locked himself in his room, sobbing hysterically.

Josh beat his fist against the door. "Tyler!" He said. "Tyler, baby, she's lying! She's crazy! I promise you! I'd never cheat!"

Tyler continued to cry, his face buried in his hands.

Josh slid down the wall across from Tyler's door, beginning to sob himself.

Eventually, Laura, his mom, found him.

"Joshua, honey," she said softly as she crouched down beside him, wiping his tears. "I-is it true?"

"N-no, momma!" Josh exclaimed, still sobbing. "I-I could never cheat on Tyler! S-She's just saying that to get back at me f-for breaking up with her 5 years ago!"

"Oh, honey," Laura said, kissing the side of his face and wiping his eyes. "Sweetheart, I'm so sorry..."

"A-and now Tyler thinks I-I cheated on him a-and he won't let me in a-and he thinks I'm disgusting a-and horrible a-an-"

"Tyler?" Laura called, knocking on Tyler's door. "Tyler, sweetheart, it's Laura. Can I come in?"

The door unlocked, Tyler peeking out.

"Hey, sweetheart," she said softly. "Can I come in?"

Tyler nodded, sniffling as he opened the door more.

She entered, Tyler closing the door behind her.

She sat down next to him on the bed, holding his hand gently. "I'm so sorry all this is happening, honey. Especially on your big day."

Tyler continued to cry, hiccuping from the tears.

"But I just talked to Josh," she said softly. "He wasn't ever unfaithful to you. She's just trying to get back at him for breaking up with her so he could be with you five years ago. She's gone now, though. We got security to handle her."

"H-he didn't cheat?" Tyler asked softly.

Laura shook her head. "No, sweetie. He could never do that to you. But I completely understand how you thought that. I-I would too, if I were in your situation. Actually, I did think he cheated."

"W-where is he?"

"He's outside," Laura said.

Tyler got up, opening his door to see Josh sitting on the floor, crying his eyes out.

He immediately went over to Josh, sitting by him as they both cried.

"I-I didn't cheat," Josh said. "I-I've never cheated a-and I could never cheat. E-especially on you."

"I-I know," Tyler said softly.

"Hey," Laura said, holding the door to Tyler's room open so it wouldn't lock them all out. "How about you two come in here and you can talk?"

The boys stood up, going into the room.

"I love you both," Laura said, kissing both their foreheads. "Very, very much. You just text me what you decide to do and we'll do it, okay? Don't you worry about a thing."

Josh nodded, Tyler just sitting there with his arms around his waist insecurely.

"I-I didn't cheat," Josh said again. "I-I promise. I-I've never cheated."

Tyler nodded, continuing to cry.

Their big day was ruined.

The day the boys had worked so hard for, had spent so much money on, and had looked forward to for so long, was ruined.

"I-I never cheated," Josh repeated. "I-I could never do that to you."

"I-I know, Josh," Tyler said, pulling on his own hair. He was frustrated, he was sad, he was upset.

The boys didn't know what to do.

"I still want to marry you," Josh said quietly. "I-I still want to do the wedding. B-but if you don't, I-I get it."

To be honest, Tyler didn't want to. He didn't want to get back in front of the crowd who had seen him run away sobbing.

And Josh didn't want to get back in front of the crowd who mostly believed he had just been exposed for cheating midway through becoming married.

"D-Do you still love me?" Josh asked.

"Y-yes," Tyler answered softly, his voice cracking.

"Okay," Josh said quietly.

The boys simply sat there for a while until Josh went over to the side of the bed Tyler was on and wrapped his arms around him tightly.

"I'm so sorry," Josh sobbed.

Tyler sat there in Josh's arms, staring at the wall.

"I-I'm so sorry," Josh continued to cry. "Y-you deserve s-so much more. I-I'm so sorry a-and I promise I didn't cheat on you a-and I-I know you've always dreamed of t-the most amazing wedding day a-and now it's all ruined a-and it's all my fault a-and I-I'm so sorry."

"I-it's not your fault," Tyler cried. "I-I know you didn't cheat a-and I know you'd never. A-and I love you so much, b-but I'm not sure w-what to do."

Josh sniffled, wiping his eyes. "I-I'm sorry."

Tyler hugged Josh's neck tightly. "D-don't be sorry," Tyler sniffled. "I-it's not your fault."

"I-I didn't cheat," Josh cried again.

"I-I know you didn't," Tyler said.

Josh sobbed and sobbed, beginning to rip his hair out angrily.

"J-Joshua," Tyler said. "J-Josh, look at me."

Josh looked up at Tyler, his eyes red and puffy from crying.

"I-I know you didn't cheat," Tyler told him. "I-I know you never have a-and you never will, a-and I'm sorry I even thought f-for a minute you could have."

"I-I didn't cheat," Josh said, looking up at Tyler.

"I-I know," Tyler sniffled. "I-I know, Josh."

"C-can we go get married, now?"

Tyler was quiet. He crawled off of Josh's lap, sitting an awkward distance from him.

"Y-you don't want to get married anymore," Josh said quietly.

Tyler sniffled softly.

"I-I didn't cheat," Josh said. "I-I promise. A-and I never could a-and I never will a-and I promise I-I'll be the best husband in the world. P-please just marry me. P-please. I-I know everything is ruined a-and I know y-you think I'm disgusting now b-but I promise I'll be a really good husband."

"Y-you're not disgusting," Tyler said quietly. "A-and I know you didn't cheat. I-I just... I don't know how the rest of the night will go."

"I-it'll be really good," Josh said. "I-I promise. I promise I-I'll make it the best night ever. P-please just marry me, Tyler. P-please, p-please just marry me."

"O-Okay," Tyler said softly.

Josh looked at Tyler, smiling softly. "R-really?"

"O-of course I'm going to marry you," Tyler said.

Josh stood up. "Y-you're not going to regret it. I-I promise."

"I-I know I won't regret it," Tyler replied with a soft smile. "I-I know you're going to be the most amazing husband ever."

Josh smiled widely.

They joined hands, going downstairs to where the ceremony was held.

They walked hand in hand back down the aisle, everyone applauding.

The boys smiled shyly as they saw everyone smiling and clapping, Tyler hugging Josh sweetly as they stood in front of everyone.

"Are we ready to continue?" The pastor smiled.

Josh looked at Tyler, both of them smiling softly.

"Yeah," Josh grinned. "I-I think we are."

"Joshua William Dun, Tyler Robert Joseph, I now pronounce you as husbands," he smiled. "Josh, you may now kiss your groom."

Josh looked at Tyler with a smile, grinning at the shy, awkward blush the boy was wearing as he waited for Josh to kiss him.

"A-are ya gonna kiss me, Joshie?" Tyler giggled shyly.

Josh pressed his lips to Tyler's, kissing him deeply.

Tyler giggled, having to eventually tickle Josh's sides to get him to pull back from the kiss because he needed to breathe.

"Step one to being the best husband ever:" Josh grinned. "Kiss your husband for so long that he doesn't even realize you spilled maple syrup on the suit for your wedding this morning."

Tyler giggled as he saw a spot on Josh's suit jacket. He hugged Josh's neck, nuzzling his nose in Josh's neck.

Josh hugged him back tightly, swaying back and forth gently. "What do we do now?"

"W-we should probably walk down the aisle," Tyler giggled. "I think everyone is getting tired of clapping."

"Oh," Josh laughed.

They turned to face the audience, holding up their left hands to show off their rings.

They then rejoined hands and headed down the aisle.

They went back to the room they were in before finishing the wedding, Tyler giggling as Josh suddenly picked him up and carried him in bridal-style.

"Joshie," he giggled as Josh started to kiss him again.

"What?" Josh asked with a grin.

"We're married."

Josh smiled and nodded. "I'm really happy you're my husband now."

"I'm happy I'm your husband, too," Tyler smiled, hugging Josh tightly.

"I'm really excited for snuggles tonight," Josh said. "I-I'm gonna snuggle you really hard."

Tyler giggled, nodding his head. "Okay."

***

"Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, for the first time ever: Mr. & Mr. Joshua and Tyler Dun!"

Tyler giggled as Josh spun him around as they walked out into the ballroom the reception was being held in, everyone clapping for them.

They had their first dance, they cut the cake, their friends and family made toasts.

And they finally got to go to the hotel they'd be staying in.

"Mr. and Mr. Dun," Josh grinned as he spoke to the woman checking them in at the hotel, Tyler playing with his fingers shyly. "The honeymoon suite."

"Oh, yes!" The woman smiled as she saw their reservation. She handed them both room keys. "Congratulations on your marriage! We have complementary room service for you both tonight," she smiled. "The menu is in your room. Simply call the number I have written here and they'll bring it up to you. Free of charge."

"Thank you so much," Josh said.

Tyler nodded in agreement.

"Enjoy your stay!"

***

It was the most rollercoaster of a day the boys had ever experienced.

But the boys were so happy they had decided to get married, and they were anxious to leave what had happened earlier in the day in the past.

Josh smiled as he saw Tyler exit the bathroom in only his boxers.

"W-What?" Tyler giggled shyly with a blush.

"Nothing," Josh grinned. "You're just the most beautiful thing I've ever laid eyes on, that's all."

Tyler's blush deepened as he stood there shyly.

Josh stood up and wrapped his arms around Tyler. "Let me slip on some sweats and then let's order some of that room service, yeah?"

Tyler nodded, kissing Josh's nose.

His smiled faded as he saw a small bald spot on his husband's head from where Josh had been ripping his hair out earlier that day in anger.

"What's wrong, baby?" Josh quickly asked.

"Nothing," Tyler said. "Absolutely nothing. I love you."

"I love you more," Josh smiled, kissing his cheek.

He was so ready to be the best husband ever, just as he had promised his Tyler.
