Tyler sighed as he got back into bed with his bowl of cereal in hand.

Life was just so boring nowadays.

He finished his cereal and set the bowl on his nightstand, staring out the window at the rain that was falling outside. He hated college. He hated being away from his family, and more than anything, he hated being away from his boyfriend.

He felt tears well up in his eyes, and he decided not to suppress them this time. He let himself cry and cry until there was a knock at the door.

He sniffled and tried to compose himself, but it was obvious that wasn't going to happen anytime soon.

He opened the door, his eyes widening in disbelief.

"Surprise," Josh said with his signature goofy grin, a bouquet of roses in hand. He was soaking wet from the rain.

"I... I..." Tyler started, in complete shock, instead just hugging Josh tighter than ever before.

"Hey, baby," Josh said softly, smiling as he hugged his boyfriend back.

"Joshua," Tyler sniffled, looking up at Josh. Josh smiled down at him and kissed his lips deeply before pulling back.

"Can I come in?"

Tyler quickly nodded, pulling Josh inside his apartment.

"Hey, babe, are you okay?" Josh asked, his eyebrows furrowed in concern at how red Tyler's eyes were.

Tyler sniffled and nodded, wiping his eyes. "Y-yeah, y-yeah. I-I'm Fine, y-you just came at a bad time for me to look presentable."

"Aw, you always look beautiful to me," Josh smiled, kissing Tyler's forehead. "I've missed you, baby."

"I-I've missed you more," Tyler replied.

"Do you wanna maybe lay down?" Josh asked, knowing that always seemed to bring Tyler comfort, whenever they were snuggling together.

Tyler nodded, leading Josh to his bedroom and crawling into bed with him.

This was just what he needed to cheer up.
