Song: "Good Riddance" by Green Day

Unknown:

The man opened the door.

"Good afternoon... sir." The boy said noticing the firm expression on the man.

"Yes, yes. Get in." The man said and pulled the boy in. He looked in the corridor before closing it. The man observed the boy.

He was a blonde. He had blue eyes and scar on the side of his face. Luke Castellan

"I see you have come." The man said taking a seat.

"I have, obviously." The boy, Luke, said.

"Now, what about the girl?" The man asked. "When will you get her?"

"There has been an..... inconvenience." Luke replied eying the man. "The girl is leaving to New York."

"Oh, very well. All three of them can be killed together. Mother, daughter and son." The man muttered to himself and laughed. Then he looked at the boy.

"YOu can convince your father to take you to NYC, can't you?" The man asked.

"I can." Luke replied firmly.

"Good, good. Now the girl? I would want some information about her." The man said.

"Here." Luke said and put a file on the table.

The man glanced at him before opening the file.

Two days later

Annabeth:

Today's the day! I'm going to New York. I am very happy I'm leaving San Fran. I quickly packed the rest of my things in a big gray suitcase. I definitely mixed feelings about meeting my mom. But excitement that I can get away from everyone. I put on my Yankees cap, it was a gift from my mother when I was 6.

I'll miss Chris, Clarisse, and Luke though. Luke and I? We're complicated. I still haven't figured out how I feel about him yet. Oh, well.  They visited an hour ago. Clarisse told me to call her or she'll fly to New York and pulverize me. Chris told me to be safe. I told them I'd miss them and I love them.

I sighed as I zipped up the remaining things in my suitcase.

"ANNABETH! COME ON! YOU'LL BE LATE!" I heard Helen's voice. I strapped on my watch. Five more hours for my flight.

I slung the strap of my carry-on bag with my Daedulus laptop and it's charger, a toothbrush, hairbrush, moisturizer, my passport, and a pouch of money.

Dad was busy putting the rest of my bags in his Volkswagon. Matthew and Bobby were looking as if someone took away their sister. I frowned a little looking at the little buggers. They do annoy me sometimes but that doesn't mean I don't love them. More than then their mother, anyway.

"It's okay, I'll be back," I said trying to console them. Frankly, even I don't know when I'll be back or how long I'll be staying with my mom. But something was telling me I won't see these buggers' faces again for a long while.

"When?" Bobby asked sadly. They were ten. I frowned again thinking that I won't see them growing up.

"Yeah, when Annie?" Matthew repeated. They looked as if they were about to cry. Their eyes were brimming with tears. I suddenly realized mine were too. I wiped a stray tear from Bobby's face and hugged them both.

"Soon, but promise to remember me," I said smiling. They were crying now, silently. They both gave me a toothy grin.

"Can I have your room?" Matthew asked. I laughed.

"Sure. Promise to keep it ready for when I'm back?" I asked him. He nodded.

"I'll miss you guys," I said.

"We'll miss-" Bobby started. The atmosphere was as if someone sucked all the happiness from it. And as if it knew how sad we were, grey clouds were started to form.

"You too." Matthew finished. I chuckled. They always did that. Finishing each other's sentences. I'll surely miss that too.

"Call us as soon as you get there." I heard a woman's voice. I looked behind me and Helen was standing there with a small sad smile on her face. I looked at her surprised. She was still smiling. I wasn't in a mood to be shocked at her or surprised so I returned the smile, testing the waters.

She looked relieved that I returned her smile.

"I love you guys, okay?" I nodded towards the twins.

"We love you too. Be safe." Matthew said.

"And if you need someone thrashed up, call us," Bobby said.

I chuckled at him. I felt a hand on my shoulder. It was Helen. I turned towards her.

And then she did something that shocked me more than anything. She hugged me. I was shocked but I managed to return the hug. She hugged me tighter and whispered in my ears, those words which would be swirling in my head for a long time.

"I love you. No matter harsh I acted towards you, I love you. Please remember that. I love you and I'll miss you, honey." She said. I didn't know what to say. I just nodded to her. How could she expect me to say the same thing to her after all these years?

I waved to the twins and the cab drove me off to the airport.

I managed to put my things in order and boarded the plane. By evening, I'd be in New York. I put on my headphones and listened to the music as the earth beneath me shrank slowly.

Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road

Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go.....

I took out my reading glasses, I didn't need them but I use them when I want to read, I pushed them onto my nose and took out a book.

I got off the plane and got my bags.

I was feeling hungry.

I was walking towards the snack bar when someone bumped into me. That someone was about to fall when I grabbed them by the waist.

My eyes met theirs. He was a guy and he had the nerve to smirk.

But I was too distracted by his beautiful green eyes.

Percy:

I'm in the NYC airport waiting room. Why? I'm glad you asked.

As Thalia's friend was arriving today, she decided to meet her at the airport. It seems her friend is staying with her sister, but her sister was the CEO of Amazon so she was really busy. Being the caring friend Thalia was, she offered to pick her up. It was the weekend and being the caring cousin I am, I accompanied her.

She barged into our house at 9 in the morning. It wasn't unusual. Nico and Thalia always barge in whenever they want to. Not that I mind. Mom loves them and pretty much the rest of our gang. Ever since we found out they were my cousins, we grew pretty close.

Thalia mentioned she was going to the airport and being the mom, my mom was, she offered me to go with her.

So here I am doing nothing.

"Hey Perce, I'm going to get some water," Nico said and stalked off. I jumped. I forgot he came too. That kid is so easy to forget about.

"Yeah. Sure." I said but he was already gone. Thalia was nowhere to be seen. Ugh! Why did I agree to do this?

I stood up in much need of a walk for my ADHD brain. I wasn't sure where I was looking because the next thing I know I clashed into a girl. I tripped and nearly fell. But she caught me around the waist.

Hey! Wasn't I supposed to be the one who should be doing that?

She was cute, I decided. She had blonde hair which curled like a princess'. She had a perfect tan as if she was in the sun too much. She looked at my eyes and her eyes weren't what I expected.  I thought her eyes would be blue or green. But her eyes were gray! They ruined the image of a Californian girl. Her eyes were framed with huge black round glasses.

Then I realized she was glaring at me. I smirked. She rolled her eyes and dropped me. Of all the ways I thought I'd fall for a girl, I never thought it'd be like this.

Her eyes widened in shock as I fell on my butt. On the floor of an airport. Surrounded by thousands of people. I thought she'd start apologizing but she didn't.

I looked up at her expectantly. She rolled her eyes again and held out her hand. I took it and she helped me up.

"Well?" She asked. What am I supposed to be doing? I thought to myself.

"Well, what?" I asked her back.

"Won't you apologize?"

"Why should I?" I asked crossing my arms stubbornly.

"You were the one who bumped into me!" She said flailing her arms around.

"But you were the one who threw me down." I pointed out.

"You deserved it." She mumbled.

"Excuse me?" I asked taken aback. She throws me down and then says I deserved it?

"Nothing." She mumbled again. She pushed her glasses that were hanging on the edge of her nose and crossed her arms.

"Fine," I said stubbornly

"Fine." She said and glared at me.

"Hey, Perce! Who's this?"  Thalia popped out of nowhere. She had her friend with her who waved at me and I waved back ignoring the girl in front of me. She looked my age with piercing dark eyes, glossy black hair in a single braid. She was relaxed and agile but looked as if she was ready to attack anyone anytime.

"I don't know," I said shrugging looking at the blonde in front of me who was smiling.

"Hi! I'm Annabeth, Annabeth Chase."  She said shaking Thalia's hand. Wow, so she is friendly.

"I'm Thalia Grace and this is my stupid of a cousin, Percy Jackson." She said. I wanted to smack  Thalia. What if this girl was a serial killer and would kill me in my sleep?

Maybe I was overreacting.

"Percy. Nice to meet you, not." She said smirking. I glared at the blonde.

Thalia looked super confused. She looked in between us and opened her mouth.

"I see we have something in common. He annoys me too. He has a knack for annoying the first person he meets." Thalia said ruffling my hair, as is it wasn't messy already. I rolled my eyes.

Annabeth nodded and smiled. And the next thing I know I was sitting in the snack bar with Thalia and Annabeth and Reyna, Thalia's friend. I definitely knew I was fourth-wheeling. The girls were gushing and talking and I was playing Candy Crush. I glanced occasionally to Annabeth who got rid of her glasses and looked even more beautiful than before.

Nico sat beside me and started to slurp my milkshake, which I hadn't bothered to touch.

"Girls.." He mumbled and took out his phone and started playing Mythomagic.

Finally, Thalia said her goodbyes to Annabeth and we walked out of the airport.

"Annabeth was nice," Thalia said glancing at me through the mirror and smirked as she drove back home. (Thalia can drive? It's called a fanFICTION)

"Yeah whatever," I responded.

"Mmhmm," She hummed. "You were staring at her like she was a million golden drachmas." She said at the next traffic light.

Nico looked at me and widened his eyes and started to laugh. Reyna who was sitting shotgun started laughing with Nico.

I felt all the blood rush to my cheeks.

"Was not," I said.

"Was too." Nico teased in the middle of his laughs. Nico apparently had a crush on me once but he got over it and now he was dating one of our friends, Will Solace.

"Was not," I said back.

"Was too." Reyna and Nico chorused. I glared at them both.

"Okay, children. We're home." Thalia said slamming the brakes. Home, meaning my house.

I happily got out of the car and went to the front door opening it to be welcomed with the warm fragrance of blue cookies.

Home, sweet, home.
