Chapter 3
DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN ANY OF THE CHARACTERS.
A/N: If you are being harassed or facing physical abuse please speak out there are a lot of people who are there to help you. Nothing is your fault. You have a voice and use it.
If you are also facing any type of depression talk to someone it really helps. Pour everything out. No one's going to judge you at all. They will help you.
I had to put these notes in because the characters here are facing these problems and are not speaking out. DO NOT take this as an encouragement and keep it inside. Not everyone can have a prince charming or a princess to help them out. Love can heal but not just a lover's love. Anyone's love can heal.
I turned and knocked on Aunt Hestia's door.
Unknown:
The man was getting a headache. All this planning was giving him a migraine. He was too old to be involved in this stuff, people say but he is stronger than he looks. He may not have a sword or dagger, those were in the old days, but he always has a gun ready. Life hasn't been treating this old man well. He was born in a family of 10.
He had a dark past, the man. His mother gave him a scythe and told him to murder their father, his father was as cruel and wicked as him. All he had to do was chop his father into pieces and bury it so no one can know and no one does.
But right now the man had other things to worry about. He was waiting in a dark room for a specific person in a school. He never really liked school anyway. The room smelled nice though.
This man had a history. His own children took over his empire and threw him off the throne. He rose again with another empire rivaling their corporation though it didn't go anywhere. The man sought revenge. And he had the perfect plan.
The sudden knocking on the door of the room brought him back to the present world. He turned towards the door and opened it he saw the figure in front of him and switched on the light...
and Annabeth gets kidnapped. the end
Hahaha, Jk here..
Annabeth:
The door opened and I saw a dark figure. The light switched on and I saw...
Aunt Hestia. She smiled welcomely and gestured me to enter. But before I could keep my mouth shut curiosity burst through me and I blurted out, "What were you doing in the dark, Aunt Hestia?" I asked as I st down in front of her desk. Her name was written on the name card.
Hestia Blaze. (Vice-Principal)
"Oh! I switched the lights off as I went to the teacher's lounge," She said gesturing to the door in the wall beside her. "Before I could switch them back on, you knocked." She said smiling. I felt warm and at home with that smile. I nodded and took out my pathetic excuse for a sandwich and started eating. It wasn't much. Just two pieces of bread and a few pieces of tomatoes and cucumber and a little bit of mustard.
I vowed, once, that I wouldn't eat anything my step-mother made. I just eat a little to fill me for that time of the day.
"Oh, that explains why you are so skinny!" Aunt Hestia gasped. "Here, eat up," she said and handed me a box of salad from her bag. I shook my head no.
"No. What about you?" I asked trying to steer clear from the fact she offered me food. She was kind but I wouldn't eat her food.
"I have an extra box. Something told me I would need to bring another box and I did." She said bringing out forks from her bag and another box. Aunt Hestia vowed never to get married. Being a vice principal was her part-time job, from all I know she also owns a company under Olympus Corp. But she liked spreading warmth so here she is, a vice-principal.
I tried to refuse but she managed to convince me to eat her salad, it was very tasty.
"Aunt Hestia?" I asked as I played with the remains of my salad. She hummed in response looking through some files.
"Uhhh... What's my.. mom.. like?" I asked finally. She put down her files and looked at me.
"She looks a lot like you, you have the same gray calculating eyes she does. She is a very wonderful woman, your mother. She is also very wise. But I don't know what she was thinking leaving a wonderful girl like you." She smiled. I smiled back. This was the time when all of the hatred for my mother I buried deep inside, roared inside me. I tried to regain my posture and from the way Aunt Hestia was looking at me, I wouldn't be surprised if she said I was snarling.
"Don't misjudge her, Annabeth. She may have a very valid reason as to why she left you. Give her a chance. She always loved her children. The way she talked about you in our family meetings, one would think she was talking about an angel that came from heaven." I blushed at this. My mother talked about me?
"And she also mentioned a few times that you loved dancing? You still do, don't you?" Aunt Hestia suddenly asked. I nodded sheepishly.
Dancing was the only thing I have as a memory of my mother's except a Yankees cap. She took me to a studio when I was 4. I remember that day very well.
"Good. Because I don't think she'd be happy if you didn't." She smiled. I wonder sometimes how she smiles all the time.
The bell rang signaling my time with my aunt was over. I walked out of her room.

School ended as usual. I walked out of the hallway with no interruptions.
Aunt Hestia was waiting for me in her car. I smiled at her and sat in the passenger seat. I realized I didn't want to go home today.
"Aunt Hestia, can you drop me off at Lucy's dance studio?" I asked.
"Sure honey." She said and took the turn to the studio.
(IDK how studios are but this is how I think they'll be)
I left the car and walked into the studio. There were some pre-school kids having their practice. I walked to the room where the lockers are and took out my outfit. I changed in the bathroom and managed to pull my hair up.
I put the song on and I danced. I danced to my misery, to my happiness, to my sadness. I danced even though my legs started to pain. Song after song I danced. The sun gradually set and I walked out of the studio.
I walked home. I hit the shower as soon as I went home. Soon this place won't be my home it would just be a place and I'm more than happy for it.
The hot water brought me back to my senses. I scrubbed all the sweat off. Another typical day of my life.
I walked into my room. I heard some laughing downstairs. I dried my hair with a towel and went down to the living room for dinner.
Helen smiled. WAIT. HELEN SMILED? I couldn't get it in me to smile back so I settled for a small scowl. Hurt flashed through her eyes and left it made me wonder whether I was seeing things.
I ate a little bit as usual and walked back up to my room. The boxes were shipped off already and I had a few clothes left. Day after tomorrow I'd leave San Fran.
So hard to believe.
