Song: "Cool Kids" By Echosmith

Annabeth:

These guys talk a lot. About various things, really. The usual silence I experienced at my old school was covered with the buzzing of their voices. I found it absurdly comforting.

Even though I was always one to thrive in silence, I guess things change.

All too soon, the bell rang signaling the end of lunch break. I walked out of the room to my next class, English.

I pass by some of the popular and cool kids.

Sometimes, I wish I could be like the cool kids. Because all the cool kids, they seem to fit in. And I feel that I don't and I don't care about it much. But just sometimes, only sometimes you wish you could be as sociable and happy as them.

They seem so blind to the stuff around them. As they say, ignorance is bliss.

I walked in and sat at the far end of the class. I didn't like attention, but I will give some answers if I need to.

A man of thirty-something, with longish salt-and-pepper hair, walked in. I guess this was Mr. Blowfish. No, that's wrong. I looked at my timetable.

Ah, it was Blofis. My bad.

The class greeted him with a long and drawn-out song of  "Afternoon, Mr. Blofis."

I think I heard someone say Blowfish. Oh, well. It was a peculiar name. And in high school, students are bound to make a joke out of it.

Mr. Blofis nodded and greeted us with a worn-out smile. I guess being a teacher does that to someone.

As soon as he started writing something on the blackboard, we heard running and the door swung open revealing, Percy.

"Hey, Paul. Mind if I join?" He said, using the teacher's first name. I was kinda shocked when Mr. Blofis smiled and shook his head.

"It's Mr. Blofis in school, Percy." He only said that and turned back to the board.

Percy scanned the room, and his eyes landed on me, or rather the seat beside mine.

He smirked and passed a group of girls, who he winked at. They giggled. Honestly, how can they find him attractive?

Ugh.

He sat down beside me. I pretended to be writing something, just so I wouldn't need to talk to him. I had enough of his Percy-ness for one day.

"Psst." I heard from beside me. I ignored it.

"Psst." He did it again. I scowled.

"PSST!" He said louder this time and a lot of people were staring at us.

"What?" I hiss.

"Can I have a pen?" He asked sheepishly.

"Fine," I said, rolling my eyes and gave him the damn pen.

"Now, don't disturb me," I sort of commanded him.

"Yes, ma'am." He said with a mock salute and brought out a notebook and started writing.

Then a minute later he looked out of the window, then a second later his hands started tapping the bench. Then he started bobbing his leg up and down.

"Stop that!" I said. What is wrong with him?

He nodded.

Then he started tapping the pen on the bench.

"STOP!" I yelled. And everyone looked at me. Mr. Blofis, shocked, stopped writing on the board.

"Why, may I ask?" The teacher asked, confused.

"I um.. Uh-" I stuttered. I blushed.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Blofis." I said and looked down at my notebook, still blushing from the embarrassment.

Percy was smirking and started whistling and looked away from me.

I banged my head on the table, only to earn a few more stares.

Can this day get any worse? And I did not mean life to take it up as a challenge.

OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo

Okay.

That was over. We can't blame Percy! He's just too cute to put a blame on. ;)

Anyway.
