8th grade is over, FINALLY! I have a short break of one week, so I might update daily. I said might. 

Anyway, here we goo!

Luke: 

She was fitting in and Luke was happy for her. Heck, he wanted to join her just so he could see her smile. It was so pure and genuine, but, duty calls.  

He didn't know he had to harm Annabeth when he walked into this at all. But he couldn't back out and Kronos will never change his mind. No matter how many times Luke, tried to convince him. 

If he objected, he could be killed and he didn't want that. Selfish, he knew. 

He started hating the black-haired guy sitting across from her. He hated the way he was looking at her. It was the same as the way Annabeth used to look at Luke. 

"It doesn't make sense!" Ethan complained from beside him, interrupting him from his thoughts. They were on a building beside Goode High. 

"What doesn't?" Luke asked. 

"That boss wants us to spy. We aren't good at it. Why couldn't he send someone else?" Ethan whined. 

Luke knew why. It was because Kronos was playing with him. Seeing her happy without him, would bound to hurt him. It was his idea of a joke. A pretty sick joke. 

But Luke smirked and told Ethan to get back to work. 

He wished. He wished that even if there was a small chance that Annabeth would be saved, he would take it. 

Annabeth: 

There was someone watching me. I had a feeling. 

Other than the whole damn cafeteria, there was someone else. 

I shook the feeling away. I was being paranoid, obviously. 

But I looked around just in case, I didn't see anyone shady so I tried to relax. 

"What's got you so wound up?" Percy asked, with that gods awful smirk.

"Just you being here," I replied nonchalantly. 

The rest were chatting away, completely oblivious to our glaring contest. 

"Annabeth! You're coming with us to the ice cream shop, later." Piper declared. 

"I am?" I asked, unsure of whether I wanted to or not. 

"You are," Calypso said. 

"Sorry guys, I really want to but mom wanted me to go home early." I made up an excuse. 

They looked disappointed but Piper distracted them and they were back to chatting. 

I couldn't ignore the feeling that someone was watching me. At all. 

I put on my headphones, the music of 'Bad Guy' filling my ears. I leaned back and relaxed. 

Percy: 

While the girls were chattering away, the guys were having a totally different conversation. 

It all started when Leo jumped and said quietly, so only the guys could hear. 

"I bet 30 bucks that Annabeth and Percy will get together by January." 

WAIT! WHAT? 

"40, by summer," Jason said. They were ignoring me. As usual. 

"50, by winter break." Nico piped up. 

"40, by next year," Frank said. 

"100! That we will never, ever get together or even kiss." I said, annoyed. 

"Fine, Jackson. It's on." Leo said as we shook hands. 

It's never going to happen. I can't do that to Rachel. 

So, let the bet begin.
