Talker of the Family

"Yum yum snacky, RuRu?" Tyler asked his daughter as she sat in the baby swing at the park, her little sun hat on her head as she ate her goldfish. "Is your snacky yummy?"

Ruby just continued eating, reaching the hand that wasn't occupied by the goldfish outwards, wanting her daddy to hold her hand.

Tyler smiled and held her hand, kissing her hand. "I loooooooove you. You're my sweet little baby bean princess."

Even though Ruby was still very young, she loved 'telling' Tyler about her life even though he was there for every second of it. She'd make noises and squeal, and Tyler would act like he could understand her.

"Ah," she said.

"Oh, really?" Tyler asked.

"Ah!" She exclaimed.

"Oh, my."

"Ah! Bah! Bah bah bah!"

"Did you really? That's so cool."

"Bah bah bah! Bah bah bah! Bah bah!"

"Wow!"

"Ah."

"Wowww. You'll have to tell JishJish about that when we get home."

"Ah," Ruby finished, stuffing more goldfish into her mouth.

Tyler laughed and picked her up out of the swing. His little princess never really liked being active. She just liked sitting and spending time with her daddies and eating. That was it. She didn't want to be pushed in the swing, she didn't want to go down the slide, nothing like that. She just wanted to spend time with her TyTy while enjoying her daily snack.

He carried her to his car, driving home. He put her down for a nap then started dinner.

A few minutes later, Josh cams home. He kissed Tyler then went to go get Ruby up from her nap.

He opened the door to find Ruby just sitting there in the complete dark, giggling as she played with her toes.

"Hi, RuRu," Josh smiled softly.

"HBDJSKALDJJDKS!" She exclaimed excitedly.

"I'm glad to see you too!"

"JJDKSKALDNSK."

"Ooooh. That sounds really fun."

"JDKSKLACNKS!"

"Oh dear! I can't believe that!"

"Jdkalkdjckalla."

"Ok. Wow. Sounds crazy. Let's go to daddy so I can give him more kissies."

He picked her up and placed her on his shoulders, the baby immediately distracted by playing with his pink fluffy hair.

He carried her to the kitchen, wanting to sneak up on him but not being able to because ruby screamed excitedly when she saw him.

Tyler giggled as he turned around. "Hi, princess! I'm excited to see you too! And my handsome husband."

He got up on his toes, kissing his lips softly. "How was work, babe?"

"Good," Josh replied. "Not very eventful, but good."

Tyler nodded, kissing his forehead.

"gjktfasklkgd," Ruby babbled. She wanted a kissie too.

Tyler smiled and got way up on his toes and kissed Ruby's cheek, making her giggle and blush.

"Did you tell daddy you went to the park today?" Tyler asked. "And that you ate goldfish while you sat in the swing and talked and talked and talked?"

"I get the feeling you're gonna be a talker when you get older, RuRu," Josh chuckled.

Tyler giggled and tickled that baby's tubby tummy. "That's ok, RuRu. Just, you'll be the only talker in the family."

Josh grinned and took her off his shoulders so he could just hold her. "You're so cute, RuRu. You get your cuteness from TyTy."

Even though Ruby wasn't biologically their kid, she was a lot like both of them.

"He was the absolute cutest baby," Josh said. "He'd always clap when he got excited. And he'd gimme kissies when I was sad, and I'd give him kissies just cause I could. He was so frickin' pudgy. Oh my, he was such a bean! He still is, just not a chubby lil baby anymore. But still incredibly adorable."

Tyler smiled softly and blushed, ducking his head shyly just as he did when he was only a baby.

Josh grinned widely, so glad he had known Tyler since they were babies. He never lost his cuteness.
