It was Halloween.

The second best holiday in the Dun household, the first being Christmas.

But still.

It was a big deal.

"JishJishhhhh. TyTyyyyyyy. Can we pleeeeeeeease go?" Ruby asked, tugging at Josh's arm as he kissed his husband.

"Put a damn shirt on, Joshua," Tyler giggled in the kiss. "You're gonna freeze out there."

"I'm supposed to be a sexy wolf," Josh said.

"You can be a sexy wolf when you come home. Not while you're with your three year old."

"Fineeee," Josh groaned, going upstairs to his and Tyler's room to find a shirt.

"Are you so excited, Ru?" Tyler asked with a smile as he picked up his daughter. "You look so pretty in your Cinderella dress."

"Yeah, but I would've liked to start earlier but you and daddy were makin' out forever."

"Sorry, RuRu," Tyler giggled. "Daddies are just used to being alone on Halloween and doin' our own thing. Buuuuuuuuut, now we're super duper lucky we have a pretty stinkin' cool princess we get to take around and eat all of her candy."

"Nooooooo. You don't get all of mah candy."

"Can I at least have a couple Reese's?"

"Maybe," Ruby said. "But don't tell daddy. They're his favorite."

Tyler smiled and nodded, kissing her cheek.

By that time Josh was walking downstairs wearing a shirt, picking Ruby up. "Ready, RuRu? I stayed up all night last night mapping out our game plan. We're hitting the rich neighborhoods first so we can get all the king sized and we'll work our way down to the fun-sized from there."

"But most importantly have fun," Tyler said.

"And get candy. Good candy. Candy is good for you," Josh said.

"No it's not," Ruby said. "TyTy said it's got lotsa sugars."

"Damnit, Tyler, you're making our kid healthy."

"She can have as much candy as she wants," Tyler said, kissing her cheek. "She's my perfect lil princess. She can have whatever she wants. Candy is healthy tonight, RuRu."

"REEEEEEEALLY?!"

"Mhm," Tyler said. "So eat as much as ya want."

Ruby smiled and nodded as Josh placed her on his shoulders.

"You two have fun," Tyler smiled, kissing both of them. "I'll be here when you get home."

Tyler was staying home because he wanted Josh and Ruby to have special time together since Josh was always working. He kissed Ruby's cheek then Josh's lips, Josh carrying Ruby outside after they both said they loved Tyler.

They headed to the rich neighborhood first, everyone giving ruby a ton of candy because she was just so cute.

Josh and Ruby had a really good time. Josh had forgotten how fun it was to just go out and give Ruby his full attention and make her feel special.

They headed back to their own neighborhood which was still very nice just not quite as big, going from door to door there.

Eventually, Ruby fell asleep in Josh's arms, Josh smiling as he carried her home.

Tyler smiled as he saw the two come in, kissing Josh's lips and taking Ruby out of his arms so he could tuck her into bed.

As he was putting her down, she woke up.

"Hey, Princess," he smiled. "How was trick or treating?"

"Good," She hummed sleepily. "I saved you a king-sized Reese's. It's in the bottom of the bag."

Tyler smiled widely and kissed her forehead. "You're the best. Sleep well, honey. I love you."

"I love you too," she said, hugging Tyler's neck. "Will you give JishJish a kiss for me?"

Tyler smiled and nodded. "You know I'll use anything as an excuse to kiss JishJish. But I'll make sure he knows one of them is from you."

Ruby giggled, kissing his nose. "G'night, TyTy."

"G'night, princess."

Tyler then turned off the lamp on her bedside table and closed the door on his way out, going to the kitchen to find Josh raiding Ruby's candy bag.

"Joshua!"

"What?" Josh asked, looking up. He had chocolate all over his mouth.

"That's Ruby's candy!"

"Look, I saw her get a king sized Reese's and we both know that child is too nice to keep it for herself."

"It's for me! She reserved it for me!" Tyler said.

"Doesn't have your name on it."

"Give it to me!" Tyler said, trying to grab it from Josh's hands.

Josh pulled back, holding it above Tyler's head. "Ok, short stack. Get it."

"You're so mean," Tyler pouted.

Josh grinned and broke one of the cups in half, handing it to him. "There ya go, TyTy. I have a heart."

"Well I was suppose to give you a kiss from Ruby but you don't get any kisses."

"Then give me the Reese's back."

Tyler quickly shoved it in his mouth.

"Rood," Josh pouted.

Tyler stuck his tongue out at him after he ate the candy.

"You better give me a kiss so I don't cry," Josh said.

"Mmm.... no."

"ROOD!"

Tyler giggled and got on his toes, kissing Josh's lips. "There. That one's for Ruby, though. You don't get any kisses from me."

"Pleeeeeease? Just one?"

"Fineeeee."
