Engagement Fight
Josh took a deep breath as he finished his horrid screaming and yelling at his fiancé, pushing himself off the wall with his hands and looking down at the shaking, sobbing boy on the ground who had his face buried in his knees.
He grabbed his keys and left, slamming the door, leaving Tyler shaking and sobbing on the kitchen floor.
He got in the car, and he knew he had fucked up.
Horribly.
He drove to his own apartment, getting inside and sitting down on the couch. He tugged at his hair frustratedly, hating himself more and more.
He decided to make dinner and shower to distract himself, but his mind just kept going back to his Tyler, shaking on the ground as he sobbed his heart out.
Finally, around 11, he got into bed. He tossed and turned for three hours until around 2 am, getting out of bed and driving to Tyler's apartment.
He made it to his apartment, going inside to find Tyler still on the floor, shivering and sniffling.
He got down on the floor with him, feeling even guiltier when Tyler jumped in fear.
"Sh sh shhh," Josh said softly, gently taking Tyler into his arms and gently rocking him back and forth. "I'm not gonna hurt you, baby. I'm not gonna hurt you."
He ran his hands up and down his back, whispering comforting things in his ear.
"I'm so sorry," Josh said. "I'm so sorry, Tyler. I'm so fucking sorry. I-I lost my temper and I should have just gone home instead of been so disgusting and awful towards you. I'm so sorry."
"Y-you scared me, Josh," Tyler said shakily.
"I-I know," Josh said. "I-I know, a-and I'm so, so sorry."
Tyler continued to sob, now into Josh's shoulder as Josh held him. He was crying, too.
"I'm so sorry," Josh repeated. He felt so, so guilty. How could he make his sweet Tyler, who had done nothing so scared, he felt like it wasn't even him who had been screaming.
He carried Tyler to his bedroom, lying him down and pulling the covers over him. He turned to leave, but Tyler asked him to stay.
"I-I don't think I should stay the night tonight, Ty," Josh said softly, gently brushing the hair off of his forehead and kissing his forehead. "I love you."
And with that, Josh went home.

The next morning, Josh came over and brought Tyler breakfast.
He gently knocked on his bedroom door before entering, seeing Tyler sitting up in bed with his arms crossed insecurely.
"H-hey, Ty," he said softly, sitting down at the edge of the bed and handing him the tray of breakfast.
"Hi," Tyler replied quietly.
They sat in silence for a while before Josh spoke up.
"I-I think we should talk about yesterday," he said quietly.
Tyler didn't respond.
"I don't know what got into me," Josh said. "I-I really don't. A-and I can't believe I got so loud a-and said such horrible things and scared my fiancé."
"I-it's okay," Tyler sniffled, wiping his eyes.
"No it's not, Ty," Josh said. "I-it's not okay that I yelled at you and scared you."
"Y-you came and took care of me after," Tyler said. "A-and now you're here this morning taking care of me a-and wanting t-to talk about it."
"Still, Tyler, I-"
"It's okay," Tyler said. "I-I promise."
Josh sighed, tugging at his hair as he always did when he was upset with himself.
"Josh," Tyler said softly, gently taking Josh's hands from his hair and holding them in his own. "I love you and I forgive you. I promise."
Josh sighed, looking down at their hands together.
"Say you love me back, Joshie," Tyler said.
"I love you," Josh said, kissing Tyler's hands. "I love you so, so much."
"Come snuggle with me," Tyler said.
Josh smiled softly as he made his way up the bed and under the covers so he had his fiancé in his arms.
So the boys snuggled in bed and watched movies all day, Josh holding Tyler and taking care of him for every minute of it.
"I love you so much," Josh promised as Tyler started to fall asleep that night.
"I love you more, Joshua," Tyler answered with a soft smile, happy to be spending the night with his fiancé again.
