Christmas Engagement

Tyler and Josh were having the most amazing Christmas ever.

Joshua had just proposed, and they were snuggled up together in their loveseat in front of the fire, smiling and kissing and giggling.

Then, the doorbell rang.

Both of them sighed, Josh kissing Tyler's lips. "I'll get it."

So he got up, going to the door.

Carolers.

"Hi!" One of the girls in the group said.

"Hi," Josh said.

"Would you like to hear some Christmas carols?" She asked enthusiastically.

"Any other Christmas, I would love to," he said, feeling really bad for saying no. "But I just proposed to my boyfriend and we um... we kind of want to just spend the night alone. I'm really, really sorry."

"Aw, that's ok!" The girl smiled. "Congratulations!"

"Thank you," Josh said. "Come back next year and I promise we'll let you guys sing for as long as you like."

"Ok!" She said. "Thank you! Merry Christmas!"

"Merry Christmas," Josh smiled.

He closed the door and headed back to his fiancé.

"Who was it?" Tyler asked.

"Carolers," Josh told him, crawling back onto the loveseat and wrapping his arms around his husband.

"Aw," Tyler said.

"I told them to come back next year," Josh said. "I just asked the love of my life to marry me."

Tyler giggled and kissed his lips deeply. "I love you."

They rubbed their noses together, their lips finding each other's again.

Tyler's hand went to his fiancés cheek as he kissed his hand deeply.

And then, the doorbell rang.

They pulled apart and both sighed, Josh getting up and going to the door.

He opened it to see a man smiling.

"Hi," he grinned.

"Hello," Josh said.

"Are you Joshua Dun?"

"Yes."

"Here's your package," the man said, handing the amazon delivery to him.

"Thanks," Josh said.

"Merry Christmas," the man smiled.

"Y-yeah, Merry Christmas."

Josh turned around and went back to the loveseat.

"Who was that?" Tyler asked.

"Amazon," Josh said.

"I didn't think they delivered on holidays," Ty said. "Especially on Christmas."

"I didn't either," Josh said. "But whatever. It's just you and me the rest of the night, and that's all that matters," he said, getting back onto the little couch and bringing his fiancé into his arms.

Tyler smiled and nodded. "Mhm," he hummed, returning his lips to his fiancé's.

Josh grinned, wrapping his arm around Tyler's torso, making both of them smile.

"I love you so much," Tyler said as their lips briefly separated.

"I love you more," Josh promised, his fiancé crawling on top of him.

They continued to kiss, eventually pulling back and simply getting lost in each other's eyes.

"Awwww, babyyy," Josh giggled a bit as he saw his fiancé crying.

"Oh, gosh," Tyler said, fanning at his tears as he laughed at himself. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry."

"Don't apologize," Josh grinned, wiping Tyler's tears with his thumb.

"I'm just so happy," Tyler said, unable to stop smiling.

"I'm happy too," Josh smiled, running his fingers through his fiancé's hair. "Soooooooo happy."

"I-"

Knock knock knock

"You've got to be kidding me," Josh groaned. "I'm not even answering it."

Tyler giggled and nodded, hugging him tightly.

Josh chuckled and hugged his fiancé back, kissing behind his ear as he rubbed his back.

"I'm so glad you said yes," Josh admitted.

"You didn't think I would?!"

"No, no, I knew you would," He giggled. "Just I was really, really, reeeeeally nervous something would go wrong. And it kinda is because of all the people knocking, but you said yes, so it's fine."

"Mhm," Tyler hummed with a smile. "It's perfect. I've never been so happy."

Josh grinned, kissing his lips. "We're gonna get marrieeeeeed."

"I can't wait," Tyler said with a wide smile. "Oh, God, I'm crying again."

Josh laughed and hugged him tighter. "Cry all you want, honey."

Tyler giggled as he sniffled, kissing Josh's cheek before looking back at his ring. "It's gorgeous, Joshua."

"A gorgeous ring for a gorgeous boy," Josh grinned.

They decided to head to their bedroom and snuggle up in there, crawling into bed after turning off all the lights, Tyler pretty much just on top of Josh, both of them just wanting to be as close as possible.

"I love you," Tyler smiled softly.

"I love you more," Josh grinned.

"Merry Christmas, Joshua," he said, softly kissing his lips.

"Merry Christmas, Tyler."

The smaller boy fell asleep, but Josh just couldn't. Tyler was too cute not to stay awake and watch sleep so adorably.

He couldn't believe he was going to get to make Tyler his forever and ever.

He gently ran his fingers through his hair, knowing that always made him relax. He grinned widely as he saw Tyler smile in his sleep.

"You like that, don't you?" He said softly.

Tyler mumbled something in his sleep, Josh furrowing his eyebrows as he couldn't understand.

"Joshie," Tyler said again with an even wider smile. "I love youuuuuuuuu."

Josh chuckled as he kissed Tyler's hair. He was even sweet when he slept.

"Joshie loves you too," he said.

Just then, the doorbell rang.

"What the heck?" Josh asked. "It's like midnight."

He got up, going to the door and opening it. It was one of their neighbors.

"Hi," she smiled. "I hope I didn't wake you up."

"Oh, no. Tyler's sleeping but I'm up. Do you need something?"

"I just thought I'd bring over some cookies for you guys," she said. "I meant to bring them over earlier but people just kept coming to your door and you seemed like you didn't want them there. Which is totally understandable. I mean, it's Christmas night!"

"Yeah," he said. "And um... and I proposed to Tyler, so we were kind of uh... kind of wanting to just be alone."

"Oh my gosh!!! Congratulations!!!"

"Thank you," Josh smiled. "We're um... we're excited. Yeah. Really, really excited."

"Well, I'll let you get back to doing whatever engaged couples do," she smiled. "Merry Christmas, Josh! Tell Tyler Merry Christmas as well!"

"I will, Jenna," Josh smiled, giving her a hug. "Merry Christmas. Thanks for the cookies."

Josh went back inside, putting some of the cookies on a plate and pouring a glass of milk, taking them back to the bedroom.

"Oh, you're up," Josh said as he saw his fiancé sitting up in bed, yawning with a blanket wrapped around him.

"I got cold without you," Tyler said. "You left and I got nervous."

"I know, baby, I know," Josh said, crawling into bed. "I'm sorryyyyy. Jenna came and brought cookies, though. Now you have me back with cookies. Want some?"

"Mhm," Tyler hummed, grabbing the plate and setting it to the side so he could sit in Josh's lap.

Josh giggled, kissing his cheek. "Do you want me to go get you some milk?"

Tyler shook his head. "Ima just drink yours."

"That's what I figured," Josh chuckled. Tyler was always eating his food, but he couldn't care less.

Tyler giggled and hugged Josh's neck tightly. "We should go to sleep so we can have fiancé breakfast tomorrow."

"What does fiancé breakfast consist of?" Josh grinned.

"Maybe a naked TyTy. I dunno. You'll have to wait and see."

Josh's eyes widened in excitement, quickly crawling under the covers and falling fast asleep so fiancé breakfast would come sooner.
