Business Trip

"Hazellllllll," Josh smiled as his nine month old sat on his belly, holding her up.

Hazel smiled and giggled as she saw her daddy, her chubby cheeks red as she blushed.

"I loooooooove youuuuu," Josh grinned, kissing all over the baby's face.

Hazel giggled and pressed a sloppy kiss to Josh's nose.

Josh gasped dramatically with a wide smile. "Thank you, Hazel Basil!"

Hazel blushed and kissed his nose again and again and again, giggling every time Josh said thank you. He seemed really excited for her kissies.

"You wanna call daddy?" Josh asked.

Hazel babbled on and on and on. She was very confident in talking even though she couldn't actually say words.

"Ok, let's call daddy," Josh giggled, grabbing his phone from the bedside table while Hazel yawned and lied down on Josh's belly.

He FaceTimed his husband, Josh grinning as he saw his husband smiling sleepily on the phone. "Hey, baby."

"Hi Joshie," Tyler said sleepily. Goodness, he looked adorable.

"Look who I have," Josh grinned, turning the phone around so the baby was on the screen.

"Hazel!" Tyler exclaimed with a wide smile. "Hi, Hazel!"

Hazel gasped as she saw her daddy on the screen. She hadn't seen him in forever.

In reality, it was three days, but in Hazel days, it was an eternity.

Tyler was on a business trip for a week, and typically, Josh would come with him so they could have fun together, but since they now had Hazel, the boys decided she was too young to go on a plane and it might scare her.

She really missed her daddy, though. And Josh missed his husband.

"Say hi, Hazel!" Josh said.

Hazel just giggled, her tongue sticking out just as Josh's did when he laughed.

Both boys smiled widely. Josh kissed Hazel's cheek. "You're so freakin precious, Hazel Basil."

That was the boys' nickname for their daughter. Hazel Basil.

"Oh, oh! Ty! She figured out how to clap!" Josh said excitedly.

"Oooooooh, lemme See, Hazel!"

"Can you clap, Hazel?" Josh asked with a wide smile. "Can you clap for TyTy?"

She had no idea what he was saying.

Josh then made a clapping gesture, and she got it.

"AHHHHHHHH!" She screamed excitedly, smacking her hands together.

"There ya go, Hazel!" Josh grinned.

"Awwwww, look at you, Hazel!" Tyler smiled. "Cute bean."

"She got her cuteness from you," Josh smiled as his little girl yawned tiredly from clapping so much and snuggled up with him. He held the baby on his chest, both of them smiling as they saw Tyler.

"Joshie," Tyler giggled shyly as he blushed. "Don't be romantic around Hazel."

"Hazel, are you ok if I call TyTy hot?" Josh asked.

The baby just looked at him, blinking blankly.

"Cool, thanks. TyTy, you're hot."

"Joshua William!"

"Whaaaaat?" Josh asked. "She said I could hit on you!"

"She can't speak!"

"I didn't hear a no."

"You aren't allowed to do that when she gets older," Tyler said.

"Sure I will," Josh grinned. "I'm always gonna be hitting on you, TyTy. No matter what. Even when we're in the nursing home."

Tyler blushed deeper, unable to stop smiling, covering his face shyly.

"I looooove you, TyTy. So does Hazel," Josh smiled. "Don't you, Hazel Basil?"

"Bah."

"That's a yes," Josh giggled. "That's definitely a yes."

Tyler smiled and shook his head. "I love you both too. I'll see you in a few days."

"Say 'bye bye,' Hazel!"

"BAH BAH!"

"HAZEL!" Josh exclaimed. "YOU JUST SPOKE!"

"BAH BAH!" Hazel yelled again.

"Hazel! You're growin' up too fast!" Tyler pouted.

"BAH BAH!"

And so the rest of the day, Hazel just wanted to snuggle in bed with her JishJish and tell him bye bye.
