Chapter one
Third person
Hunter heaved in a sigh. They had to move. Again. At least Rex was letting them stay in his guest house.
"Daaaaad Wrecker took my electronic car." His eleven year old son Tech said.
"I'll talk to him. What do you even need it for anyways? Aren't you supposed to be packing?" He asked.
"I- well... I just wanted to do some last minute repairs. Just because." Tech pushed his glasses up and gave him a "I can do everything" look.
"You can some once we get to the house. I really need some help right now." Hunter said, exauhstion in his voice.
"Ok..."
Once Hunter finished folding his very few clothes he had. He went to go check on his only daughter. Omega was definitely t he closest with him, and as much as he tried to deny it, she was probably his favorite, in a way. Although he vowed he would never tell any of the boys.
"How's packing going for you." He said, glancing into her, Wrecker, and Techs room. She was on the side of her bunk, putting her clothes and trooper doll away.
"It's good. I'm exited for the new house." She said, smiling. But not a real smile.
Everything they've been through Omega had been so good about. But Hunter could always tell when something was wrong with his daughter, even though she always refused to tell him she wasn't fine.
"You sure." He asked, concern in his voice.
"Yes daddy, I'm sure."
Hunter smiled and left her to pack, even though he still had that feeling in his chest he felt when he knew something was wrong. He knocked on the door of his oldest sons.
"Everything doing good for you boys?" He asked.
Cross was fiddling with his sniper nerf gun, which he got for his birthday a few years ago, and still, even being fifteen, refused to let it go. Echo, on the other hand, was reading a sci-fi book about robots.
Poor guy had gotten into a car accident two years ago, and left him without an arm. Hunter could barely pay off they cost for the robotic arm, and if it hadn't been for his big brothers, Rex and Cody, then Echo would be armless.
"Yup." Cross said, then reaching up to itch his short ashy blonde hair.
"I got everything packed a while ago, Cross is just taking his sweet time." Echo muttered, receiving a menacing glare from his older brother.
"Well I'm sorry, what is it to you?" He seethed.
"Boys, cut it out, get your stuff packed. Rex'l be here in an hour." Hunter told them.
He walked out of their room and pinched the bridge of his nose. He had a head ache, and he hadn't seen wrecker in a few minutes, which meant any second he would here something break, hopefully one of their belongings, and not part of the house.
Bang
Yup, there it was. Hunter rushed to the kitchen to see a tall and chubby little boy, his eyes wide in alarm, sitting next to a pile of pans.
"Wrecker." Hunter put a hand on his face and shook his head.
"I was trying to help clean!" The young boy protested.
"I know bud, I got it from here though, why don't you go pack your bags, and ask one of your siblings to help you."
"Ok!" Wrecker exclaimed, running back to his room.
Hunter sighed and picked up the pans, his headache getting worse.
***
Beep beep.
Hunter peaked outside to see a light blue truck parked in front of his house. Rex was here.
"Ok guys, can you help me move these boxes to your uncles truck?" He shouted from down stairs.
The kids helped their dad move the boxes of personal belongings into the truck, then everyone quickly got into Hunters red (I don't know vechials so something big enough to hold them but at a decent price) and followed Rex to the house. The house was pretty big, but not like a mansion or something. Probably four bedrooms, a kitchen, a few bathrooms, a dining room, and a living room. That was really all they needed.
"Ahsoka helped me set everything up. Tonight I want you guys over for dinner, you can see the boys too." Rex said. (I'm sorry I'm a major Rexsoka shipper but their won't be to much in it)
"Yes!" Echo cheered.
Rex and his wife Ahsoka has five kids to, although no girls. Fives, Jesse, Hardcase, Dogma, and Tup. Echo and Fives were really close, like two peas in a pod, as the expression said.
Wrecker and Echo were the first to go in, and Cross and Omega were the last. Cross stood by the car still, his arms crossed, chewing on a toothpick (he had a habit of chewing his nails so Hunter had bought him some toothpicks and suprisingly it stopped him from chewing on them)
"Are you coming?" Omega said to Cross. His gaze softened.
"Yeah 'mega, I'll be right there." He muttered softly. Omega nodded and walked over to the new house, staring at it in wonder.
Hunter walked over to his son and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"You ok?"
"Yeah... I'm fine dad." Cross said, refusing to look at his dad.
"No your not. What are you thinking about?"
"It's just... I- I don't know, I guess I'm just missing the way things were before. Before order 66 came." Cross said, looking down at his feet.
Hunter placed a hand on his sons shoulder. "It'll be ok. I miss it to... but we just got to keep moving on. We're the Batchers, we can do anything."
"Ok..."
Cross started walking to the house, following his sisters tracks. Hunter sighed.
"How you holding up vod'ika." Rex said, putting an arm around Hunters shoulders.
"Better then before ori'vod, thanks to you."
"No problem. I'm going to get going. Ahsoka is at work today and I can't leave the kids alone for that long or else they would blow up the house."
Hunter chuckled. "Alright. What time do you want me to come over?"
"Whatever times best for you." Rex said, then took off.
Hunter smiled and joined his kids in the house. And he was astonished. Rex and Ahsoka had done an amazing job.
Echo and Cross's room had to beds, instead of a bunk bed, Echo's side with sci fi things and Cross's with things like bow and arrows and sniper things. In Wrecker and Techs room, Wrecker had a little corner to himself, with things he could break, and Tech had electronics and books. Last but not least was Omega's room. Hunter assumed Omega had her own room cause she was a girl, and she needed her own space. It wasn't pink and unicorny like lots of girls rooms were, but it had her favorite colors, red and blue, and drawing supplies and other things.
Rex and Ahsoka really out did there selves. When did they have the time and money to get all this? Well, Hunter was greatful nonetheless.
The last bedroom was at the end of the hallway. It was Hunters. It looked like a normal master bedroom, with a queen sized bed, black blankets, all those things. But hunter noticed the tracking supplies up there to. He remembered he used to use those when he was a kid.
Hunter smiled. He had high hopes for this living situation.

After everyone had unpacked and settled in, they got in the car to drive to Rex's house. Once they got there, Fives immediately bolted out of the house, crashing into Echo.
"Woah, good to see you to Fives- argh get off me." Echo grumbled, pushing his cousin off.
"Hey Cross!" Dogma shouted from the balcony.
"Oh hey Dogma!"
Jesse and Hardcase came out, Jesse joining the pile of Fives and Echo and Hardcase bringing Wrecker into the house. Ahsoka was standing on the porch, her arms crossed and a smile on her face. A little boy was peaking out behind her, Tup. Omega was still by Hunter, and she rufused to go with anyone else.
"Hey Hunter!" Ahsoka said smiling.
"Hey 'soka, how are you?" Hunter said.
"Pretty good, the little monsters are wrecking the house, as normal."
Hunter snorted. "Yeah, sounds about right."
"Well why don't you come in."
Hunter came up on the porch and knelt down in front of Tup.
"Hey there Tup. You remember me? Uncle Hunter."
The three year old boy, still holding on to his moms shirt, looked at him curiously. He slowly nodded his head.
"Tup why don't you go play with Hardcase and Wrecker. And by playing I mean making sure they don't blow up the house." Ahsoka told Tup.
He smiled and ran off, tripping a few times.
"He's going through a shy phase, but he warms up to people eventually."
"Auntie 'Soka!" Omega exclaimed, running over to the porch and hugging her.
"Hi Omega." Ahsoka grinned.
Hunter noticed Tech was still in the car.
"Whatcha doing in there?" Hunter slid down in the seat next to Tech. He was fiddling with the car he had.
"Just fixing this after Wrecker broke it." His gaze was focused.
"Why don't you come inside with that."
"Do I have to?" He complained.
"Yes, come on."

Once dinner was ready, they all sat down at the table. Not surprisingly, Fives shoved a peice of mash potatoes into jesses face, concluding Jesse shoving peas down his shirt. Fives shrieked.
"Boys! Cut it out!" Ahsoka growled.
Hunter noticed Cross snort and then Dogma shove him and they both collapsed in laughter.
"Don't laugh at me!" Fives yelled and then jumped onto his older brother.
"Hey, BOTH OF YOU!" Ahsoka yelled, then grabbed his sons by the back of the shirt.
Fives crossed his arms. Hunter noticed Tech was raising an eyebrow, Cross was dying of laughter, Omega was confused, and Wrecker was trying to join. And Echo, he was in the middle of it.
"Ah! Get off me! Wrecker no!" Now Wrecker was trying to attack Echo.
"Aaaand that's enough." Hunter said, picking up Wrecker.
"Sorry about this." He apologized.
"You'd be surprised at how much this happens." Ahsoka chuckled.
After they finished dinner Hunter said goodbye to his brother and nephews and they headed out.
"I don't want to go to bed!" Wrecker yelled.
"Wrecker you have first grade tomorrow, you have to. It's already really late." Hunter presses two fingers to his head. Aaaand the headache was back.
Wrecker crossed his arms, pouting. Once they got to the house he tucked Wrecker and Omega in. Wrecker was out like a light, so Hunter carefully got his pajamas on and put him in bed. Omega on the other hand, wanted to stay up longer.
"Please daddy! Can I at least read?" Omega pleaded, giving her dad her, 'puppy dog' face.
"Only until your clock says nine, ok?"
"Ok, thanks daddy." Omega gave hunter a hug and He kissed the top of her head.
"Ok, Cross, Echo, only till ten and no later. Ok?"
"'K dad." They said in union.
Hunter did the same with Tech, and he responded with.
"'S fine."
Hunter laid down on his bed, exauhsted he closed his eyes, and fell into a calm, dream free sleep.
Ok first chapter was pretty good. For those of you who read my 'Hunter and Omega!' Fic, I'm working on updating it right now. I feel like I'm only going to update this one once or twice a week cause it s longer. Bye -Chloe
