Chapter 4: School Life, Night Life, My Life
~Your POV~ (Pic above is your hero costume, art is made by my close friend Madiarts, go check her out she makes fanart for all my stories.)
I yawned, standing at the train station with a bored expression, wearing the same thing I was yesterday. Why is school...so God d*mn early in the morning!? Don't blame us blame the system. System? Just forget it for now. I HATE F*CKING SCHOOL! Shut up the train's coming. Today I decided to actually take the train. I was feeling lazy. It was the same one that I showed Todoroki the other day so there was a possibility of running into him. All of a sudden my flip phone started ringing. Someone's calling the Info Broker line? Welp you're up nerd. I suppose. I took out the flip phone and held it to my ear. Unaware of the pair of eyes watching me.
~Todoroki's POV~
I was heading to the train that (Y/N) had showed me the other day when I noticed said girl standing by one of the walls. Was she waiting for the train? That's when a phone starting ringing. I knew it had to be (Y/N)'s because she was the only other person here. I remained hidden as she picked it up. She had a cold poker face on now. "Yo, who is this?" She questioned in a dark tone that spoke nothing but business. She tilted her head to the side a little. "Speaking. What of it?" She questioned. She nodded, chuckling a little bit with a smirk. "Don't we all? What kinda info are we talking here?" She questioned. Her face returned to her poker face, her glare hardening. "You're being awfully vague. What about payment?" She questioned. She sneered a little. "One, that sounds weird and sends off red flags, two, you're lucky to have caught my interest. Time? Place?" She started nodding again. "Yeah sounds good. I'll send you the address later. Right now I'm not in a very secure location to be talking business." She said. Her smirk returned. "I'm an Info Broker. I don't pick sides. And I'm a little curious about that payment you were offering." She said. Now I was just confused. Info Broker? Is she actually an Info Broker? Why is one of those aiming to be a hero!? (Y/N) started nodding again. "No. I only do that when I'm bored and just want to f*ck with people's heads. As long as the reward is good I probably won't be vague about it. So really it depends on my mood, what you're offering, and sometimes it depends on time too." She said. She smirked. "Done. See you tonight." She said. She hung up the phone before stuffing it back into her hoodie's pocket. She sighed slightly sitting on the bench she was standing next too. She yawned a little. "School's way to early in the morning." She grumbled. I just stood there, slightly hidden from view. What...did I just witness? I feel like that was something I wasn't suppose to see. I thought. I shook my head. She's an...Info Broker? That's someone who sells information for money right? I thought. Should I tell someone about this? Is it dangerous? Is she dangerous?
My thoughts trailed off as the train pulled into the station. Thinking fast I ran out before bending over and pretending to be out of breath. "Oh, good morning Todoroki-Kun." (Y/N) greeted with a cheerful tone. I held out my hand still pretending to be out of breath. "Hang on...one second..." I trailed off. She chuckled slightly. I stood back up dusting myself off slightly, returning to my normal monotone expression. "Morning (Y/N)." I greeted back. "That was quick." She muttered under her breath, sweat-dropping slightly. "Train's about to leave." She pointed out. We both walked into the train and found seats. The train was mostly empty just like last time. We just sat there in silence. A little to tense for my liking.
~Your POV~
Can we at least try to have a conversation? This is awkward. Well excuse me. I'm not the one who decided to take the train this morning! Can you two stop please. I have a job tonight. I sighed slightly before shooting a look at Todoroki. He seemed lost in thought. I hate awkward situations. I thought while sweat-dropping. You're not the only one... "So umm..." Todoroki trailed off. "Thanks for letting me use your map the other day." He said handing me back the piece of paper. "Oh. Did you find someplace you liked?" I questioned, taking the map back and putting it into my pocket. "The cafe was nice but I really liked the roof of the school. It was peaceful. I might actually consider having lunch up there." He said. I snapped my fingers with a small smile. "Aw, you stole my idea." I said in a joking manor. He just chuckled a little bit. Wait...that actually worked? F*ck yeah! Nice one (Y/N). Ummm, I have no idea what I did. I thought. Then I came up with an idea. I smirked slightly. "Hey Todoroki, want to see a trick?" I questioned. "What kind of a trick?" He questioned. "It's simple, but cool. So think of a number. It can be any number." I said. He nodded. "Okay now keep that number in mind. So how's your day been going so far?" I questioned with a small smile. "Umm...Pretty good I guess. I was a little confused this morning about something but that was it." He said, looking confused. "Really? That's interesting. So what do you think about All Might being one of our teachers at U.A?" I questioned. "I'm personally looking forward to it." Todoroki responded. I could tell he was starting to relax. I see what you're doing... Ha! She's using your trick Dark! I've noticed... I smiled a little and continued to talk and attempt to match my wavelength with Todoroki. Good, his guard is down. But any mention of that number right now will cause his guard to snap back up. Careful (Y/N). I nodded slightly. "So what's your favorite type of book?" I questioned. "Surprisingly I do enjoy a good fantasy book every once in a while." He responded. I could tell his focus was drifting elsewhere. Perfect~ I purred mentally. "Really? Why?" I questioned. "I dunno. I guess its just nice to drift into a different world." Todoroki said. His focus has left the building. Excellent. Test the waters (Y/N). I smirked slightly. "So how many fantasy books have you read?" I questioned. "About ten." He responded. "Out of curiosity do you have siblings? If so how many?" I questioned. "Three. Two older brothers and an older sister." He said. "How old are you?" "Fifteen." "What's your birthday?" "January 11th." "What was the number you were thinking of a few minutes ago?" "Twenty-five." I smirked in victory. "Hey Todoroki you just told me your number." I said. His eyes snapped back into focus. Eyyyyyy! Todo is back! The Icy-Hot Honer Student returns. Victory is mine. I thought. "Huh?" He questioned. "The number you were thinking of was twenty-five. Am I wrong?" I questioned. His expression didn't change but the shock that flashed in his eyes was enough. Got em'! "How'd you do that?" He questioned. I was about to answer but was interrupted by the megaphone. We had arrived at our stop. "Oops. Didn't realize we'd been talking for so long." I smiled slightly as the train came to a halt. "How did you-" "I'll explain later." I said, quickly cutting him off. Once we got off the train he began to question me as we walked to school. "It's a simple mind trick actually." I said. "While I was just talking I was also putting out a relaxing aura. Once you started to relax and feel comfortable with me around you started drifting. Keeping one ear on the conversation and the other on something else. Once you had started drifting I shifted the conversation to things dealing with numbers. I was testing the waters to see if you were paying attention. I asked these questions 'how many fantasy books have you read?' 'how many siblings do you have?' 'how old are you?' 'what's your birthday?'. All things dealing with numbers. After you gave me completely honest answers I knew you weren't paying attention and asked what number you were thinking about. And you told me." I said cheerfully. He was giving me a look. "Yeah, its some intense levels of mind f*ckery but I rarely ever use this trick. In fact I've only used it once before to get Deku to tell me what was bothering him." I said. D*mn hedgehog. Remain calm. "Let me guess, something to do with that Bakugo kid." Todoroki said. "Wow. You've already got their relationship figured out." I said rolling my eyes.
~Time Skip~
The Hero Course curriculum was a little odd being honest. Regular required classes like English in the morning. Lunch is at the main cafeteria, where we can buy gourmet food for reasonable prices. And then in the afternoon....Hero basic training. I was sitting at my desk when I heard a fimiliar booming voice. "I am....Coming through the door like a normal person." All Might said, slamming the door open and coming inside. The entire class got excited. I raised my hand. "Question already?" He asked. "No. I just wanted to point out how much the class...a-doors you." I said with a small snicker. Dark.... Don't do it. All Might got a tick mark on his head. "I teach Hero Basic Training." He declared standing in front of the podium. "It is a subject where you train in different ways to learn the basics of being a hero." He continued. "You'll take the most units of this subject." He added. I was getting excited myself. Finally some proper training. It's about d*mn time! Hell yeah! "Let's get right into it! This is what we'll do today......COMBAT TRAINING!" All Might declared. I raised my hand again. "Yes?" He questioned. "Does this count as tests? If so I think I'll do All Might but I can't be too sure." I said with a smirk. More tick marks and a few people sweat-dropped with another few snickering or giggling. "NO....they aren't tests. Just training." He started laughing a little. "Also you are not allowed to speak ever again." He growled. I smirked. "I'm All Might with that. It should be quiet easy." Why I can't I shut up!? I don't knooooow! DARK SHUT THE F*CK UP! Bakugo looked excited for the training. Izuku looked worried. "And to go with that are these!" All Might said, pointing. "Costumes made based on your Quirk registrations and requests you sent in before school started." He explained. FINALLY WE CAN NOT BURN OUR D*MN HANDS! Yes! I've been waiting for a while now. Everyone in class was just as excited as I was at this point. "After you change, gather in Ground Beta!" "Yes, sir!" Everyone shouted.
Once everyone had gotten changed we all walked out to meet All Might. I was trailing behind the group because Izuku had yet to come out. I was wearing a dark red undershirt, black pants, Darkheart's hoodie, and black high heel boots. I also wore a utility belt with a sheath for my knife and other bags and places to store medical supplies. My costume also gets two specially made red gloves that go up to my elbows to help regulate the temperature of my body after fire attacks. And I had a metal respirator that was diamond-shaped and has two holes on the top and bottom, left to right, in order to filter things like smoke and poison gasses. My hair was tied in a ponytail with some of my hair still covering my left eye. I was also wearing Dragonheart's classic red headband. It also came with (E/C) contacts so that if Darkheart took over no one would notice her red eyes. I had my normal phone tucked away in one of my belt's bags while the flip phone was in my hoodie's pocket. Once I walked out fully I started stretching and fixed my gloves. The costume fit loosely, nothing like the skin-tight body suits that most the girls had. Me and the other two worked hard so that it could fit all our styles and still be comfortable. I heard a noise and looked behind me to see Izuku running out. Me and All Might snickered lightly under our breaths when we saw him. "So obvious." We both mumbled. I walked over to Deku and instantly recognized the costume. "This was what you designed in one of your notebooks." I commented. He gave me a look. "Didn't you designed that in your sketch book when you were what? Ten?" He countered. I smacked him on the head in a playful manor. "Shut up." I growled. He just snickered at me. Uraraka walked over. "Deku! (Y/N)! I love your costumes!" She said. I noticed that Izuku looked a little nervous with her around and thought I caught a small blush on his checks. Oh~ So I was right in him having a crush on her. You're always right so shut up. Oh my God! My little bro has a crush! I smirked slightly and threw my arm over Izuku's shoulders once Uraraka had walked away. "Soooo, do you have a thing for her?" I questioned. "WHAT NO!" He shouted getting defensive right away. My smirk grew. "You do don't you!" I said, stars in my eye. "Y-you're crazy (Y/N)!" He shouted. The others started giving us weird looks. "OH MY GOD YOU SO DO! MY LITTLE BRO HAS A CRUSH!" I shouted starting to jump up and down excitedly. He gave me a death glare and I calmed down still snickering under my breath.
"Now, it's time for combat training!" All Might announced as we all lined up. "Sir!" Iida said raising his hand. "This is a battle center from the entrance exam, so will we be conducting urban battles again?" He questioned. "No, we're going to move ahead two steps!" All Might stated firmly holding up two fingers. "Most of the time, fighting villains takes place outside, but if you look at the total numbers, atrocious villains appear indoors at a higher rate. Imprisonment, house arrest, backroom deals-- In this society filled with heroes, truly intelligent villains hide in the shadows!" All Might explained. I nodded. He's right. Most of the more cleaver and intellectual villains have always been known to fight better in indoor environments. Closer range to their target and easier access if they've got places to hide. I nodded slightly. "For this class, you'll be split into villains and heroes, and fight two-on-two indoor battles." All Might explained. If we get chosen for the villain role who's taking over? Depends, do you see yourself as an intellect villain, or a brute force villain? Hmm...It'd depend on who my partner would be. If we've already got brains then I'll be brawn. If we've already got brawn I'll be brains. Unless of course its one of those mastermind teaming up deals. In which case both me and my partner in crime would be intelligent. Well said. So I take it I'll be more likely to take over. Most likely. Aw, d*mn. I was looking forward to destroying something. Everyone else just started tossing questions at All Might. I was starting to get annoyed slightly but stayed silent. "All right listen up." All Might said pulling out a script. I walked over and snatched it from his hands. Everyone sweat-dropped at me. I just smirked a little. "I'll read it since I'm good with explaining stuff. Chill." I said calmly. All Might was perfectly fine with it. "The situation is that the villains have hidden a nuclear weapon somewhere in their hideout." I read, loud and clear. "The heroes are trying to dispose of that. The heroes need to catch the villains or get the nuclear weapon back in the allotted time. The villains need to protect the nuclear weapon for the whole time or catch the heroes." I said. I looked up with a smirk. "How many of you have played heroes and villains when you were a kid?" I questioned. Almost everyone's hand shot up. "It's basically the same thing. Only a little more advanced. For those of you who don't know it's like advanced hide and seek. Team Hero has to find and capture the villains or find the bomb. Team villain needs to protect the bomb and not get caught, while also attempting to catch the heroes. Does everyone understand?" I questioned. "Aye!" Everyone said while nodding. Some giving hums of agreement. "Excellent. Anything you wish to add All Might?" I questioned, looking at the pro hero. He shook his head and held out a yellow box with the word 'lots' written on it. "Teams and opponents will be determined by drawing lots!" He declared. I tossed him back his script before returning back to line up.
The teams were chosen. Me and Todoroki were on the same team. I walked over to him. "Well then, we meet again." I said. "That we do." He responded. "The fist teams to be fighting will be....These two!" All Might shouted holding up two balls. "Team A will be the heroes and Team D will be the villains." I mumbled to myself. "Izuku vs. Bakugo huh?" I questioned aloud. Todoroki gave me a look. I sighed slightly before facepalming. "This can only end badly." I grumbled. Me and the rest of the students, including All Might went to the monitor room to watch the fight. Instead of watching I was on my flip phone, typing up strategies for both villain and hero since I had no idea which one me and Todo would be. I started getting a little frustrated. Todoroki walked over to me. "What are you doing?" He asked. I sighed. "Typing up strategies." I responded. "Already?" He questioned. "You can never be too prepared. I like to be one step ahead and already have a plan before going into something." I said. "Well what do you have so far?" He questioned looking over my shoulder at my flip phone. "Well for plans if we're chosen to be heroes I thought you could just freeze the building over and we retrieve the weapon that way. I could melt the ice afterwards. That way the building would be stable, villains caught, and weapon has no risk of going off." I explained quietly so that no one else could hear. "That's plan A at least. Plan B is that I sneak in first to see what kind of defenses they have. Once I know the lay out I can contact you and we both come at them from different sides. A Pincer attack if you will. Divide and conquer." I said. "It'd be better if I knew what our enemies Quirks were. That way I could formulate a more proper strategy. But alas, no such luxury." I said with a sigh. "Plan A is the safest option for heading into unknown territory. Immobilize and defeat. Oldest trick in the book." I said. Todoroki nodded. "I agree. And before you ask, yes I have the power to go through with plan A." He said, also keeping his voice down. I nodded. "As for the flip side. If we're chosen to be villains I can see it working two ways. Plan A the moment the heroes enter the building I ambush and capture them while you watch the bomb or the other way around if you prefer being on the offensive. Or Plan B, both of us move out and ambush the heroes incase they split up after setting a few traps to keep the bomb safe. Sorry. None of these plans are as thorough as I'd like them to be but I was a little pressed for time. These are just rough drafts. There are just too many variables." I said shaking my head slightly. "I'd say most of these would work fine with a few back up plans waiting in the wings just incase. But I do like the use of sneak attacks. Getting the drop on the opponent on either side can lead to an almost instant victory." Todoroki said while nodding. "That's what I was thinking when writing these. But I was also thinking, 'if I were a villain, what would be my best moves?' With that mindset, I came up with this 'ambushing is the quickest way to get things done. We have the home field advantage because it's technically our hideout. We know it best, we know all the best places to hide and where to set traps. We have the tactical advantage. So long as we don't under or overestimate our opponents it will be an easy task'." I froze realizing I had been ranting. "Sorry, I tend to rant when left unchecked." I said scratching the back of my neck slightly. Todoroki shook his head. "No need for an apology. But what else did you come up with for the villain role, if nothing else lets switch back to the hero role." He said. I hummed a little. "I think we've already got it pretty solid for the hero role. The villain role leaves the most questions open." I said. "Then lets focus on that." Todoroki said. I nodded in agreement. "So for the villain role we need to actually think like villains. Todoroki, if you were a villain put in this situation what would be your main priority?" I questioned. He closed his eyes looking deep in thought. He reopened his eyes with a small nod. "Subdue the heroes. Don't let them anywhere near the bomb. Sure the bomb will go off soon but I'm not risking the possibility of the heroes disarming it before I got away and the bomb went off." He responded. I nodded slightly. "As for tactics...?" I prompted. "Classic bait and switch. Lure them into a trap or ambush set up by my partner. But make sure that the bomb is hidden well and has something protecting it incase the heroes split up. One of the advantages I'd have would be that only me and my partner know where the bomb is, so as long as both heroes are in sight and/or there are some good traps set around the bomb, there's a high chance of victory." Todoroki said. I nodded with a small smirk. "Very perceptive. You'd make a formidable foe to be sure. But allow me to add to that." I said. And with that we worked out an even better plan incase we were put into villain roles. We tweaked the hero strategy a little bit. And after that we were ready with fool proof plans.
After that we payed attention to the fight going on. "(Y/N)...there seems to be something more behind this fight. Care to explain?" Todoroki asked. I sighed slightly. Welp, might as well tell him. Are you sure this is a good idea? Eh, not like we're telling him much. I nodded to myself slightly. "Ever since Deku and Kacchan were little they've been close friends. Bakugo used to lead all the kids in the neighborhood. And according to Izuku he did everything with confidence, whether it was right or wrong. He always looked up to that. If anything, Deku has always been impressed by Bakugo, and looked up to him. But....after his Quirk manifested...." I trailed off shaking my head. "Bakugo...accelerated down the wrong path. That was around the time I showed up. I actually met them when I protected Deku from Kacchan." I said. "Kacchan?" Todoroki questioned. I flinched realizing I had used Bakugo's nickname. "Everyone who hanged around him called him that. Even me. Since I hung out with Deku a lot that usually ended up hanging out with Bakugo as well. But once his bullying started getting out of hand I....well I stopped hanging out with them as a group. I'd still meet with Deku because I felt that he needed me to protect him....I've always viewed him as my little brother, and I've always viewed him as someone I needed to protect. So every single time he hung out with Bakugo I'd be somewhere close by. Eventually Izuku stopped hanging around Bakugo. But there were still bullying incidents. But....now." I smiled looking at the screen. "Izuku can defend himself now....he doesn't need me to protect him anymore. Because he can properly defend himself now. I could never teach him how to fight, I never had the time. But Izuku finally found a teacher that taught him properly. Pair that with the knowledge that he's acquired over the years about Quirks and Bakugo's fighting style well...." I trailed off, a smirk spreading across my face. "He's got a chance. In fact, I'd bet that he's going to win. Izuku has a habit of planing ahead, much like myself. There's no way he went into this without a plan." I said. Todoroki gave my smirking figure a look. "You seem pretty confident about that." He said. "I thought you said that he looked up to Bakugo." He pointed out. I leaned on the wall with my arms crossed, smirk ever present. "He does. But you may not know this, cause I'm not sure if you've ever had a rival or someone to even consider a rival before, but when you look up or respect someone in the way that I look up to All Might and Deku looks up to Kacchan well...You want to surpass them. Become stronger than them. Prove that you too can be just as, if not stronger, than they are." I explained. "I respect people like All Might, I look up to him, because I want to be like him. But not in the same way that Izuku does. I don't want to be like All Might, I just want to be a hero like him. Who saves people for the sake of saving others. Not for money or fame or anything of the sort. I want to surpass All Might, my Father, Bakugo, and Izuku. But the reason I want to surpass them, to be better than them, is so that I know I can protect them. If I become strongest that means that I have the power to protect everyone." I sighed again, realizing I had been ranting. "Sorry. Ranting again." I said. "Anyways, I think that's enough chit chat for now. I want to see it when Deku finally beats the s*it out of Kacchan." I said.
By the time the fight was over I was about ready to murder Bakugo. But me and Todoroki's match was coming up soon. All right let's kick some a*s! As long as we stick to our strategies no matter what role we are put in we will be victorious. Alright! Let's do this girls! HELL YEAH! I chuckled a little at myself as the roles were being chosen. We were gonna be the heroes. I smirked. "Plan A?" I questioned. "Plan A." Todo confirmed. I slid up the respirator so it covered my mouth and nose. "Let's do this." I said. We walked out onto the training grounds. Once we were in front of the building I pulled out my flip phone and pulled up a map with two glowing dots on one of the floors. "I snuck some tracking devices onto our opponents on the way out." I said, smirking under the respirator. Todoroki nodded studying the map. "Got it." He said. "Our opponents are...The invisible girl and the tail guy. Sorry, I'll learn their names eventually. If I had to guess the girl's going to go invisible and try to sneak up on us. Tail is probably going to guard the weapon. Let's get em' before they have the chance to move out." I said. He nodded in agreement. We walked into the building. "You might want to go outside (Y/N). It's about to get a little chilly in here." Todoroki said. I backed out of the building as he placed his hand on the wall and froze over the building. I whistled slightly. "Whoa, now that's what I call...cool." I said with a wink. I could've sworn I heard a small snicker from the Icy Hot Honer Student. I walked back inside and me and him walked to the floor that they had the weapon on. Well....I slid. I was actually using this as an opportunity to ice skate a little bit. The tail guy got into a guard but Todo smirked slightly. "You can move if you like, but the skin on your feet will come off so you won't be able to fight your best." He pointed out. I smirked under my respirator. "Don't worry I'll melt the ice after the weapon is retrieved." I said skating in and circling the weapon. I placed my hand on the fake weapon. "Secure." I said. "Villains captured." Todo responded. "Victory. I knew this was a good plan." I said. I grabbed my knife and stabbed the floor, fire surged from my hand and arms through the knife and started melting the ice almost immediately. Good thing that knife is fire proof. "Sorry. The difference in our ability was too great." Todoroki said. Oh my God....HE'S SO BADA*S! I noticed. His skills far exceed what I was expecting. Nothing less from the son of a pro hero after all. I thought with a small smile. BUT SERIOUSLY THAT DUDE! I WANT TO TRAIN WITH HIM HE'S BADA*S! We get it Dragon no need to repeat yourself. I shook my head slightly, refocusing. Kinda have to agree. He's pretty bada*s. I thought. After I was down melting the ice in the room we began making our way to the exit. I sheathed my knife and pulled down my respirator. Shoto Todoroki, Quirk: Half Hot Half Cold, he freezes with his right and burns with his left. He was one of the four other students admitted through recommendations. He's the son of the pro hero Endeavor, the full rang of his power is unknown but we barely know anything about his fire half. A true mystery and skilled at many forms of combat. Very intellectual too. He's cold to most people and comes off as emotionless but seems to show a little emotion here and there. Whoa! I was right....he's a bada*s! I chuckled slightly. "What's so funny?" Todo asked. "Oh nothing." I said sliding across the floor since I was melting the ice on our way out, so as to not cause too much temperature change at once. "Can you stop that? This is training. You're not suppose to be having fun." Todo said. I skated a few circles around him just to provoke a reaction. "Trust me Todo, with the kinda training I've been though this is all cute in comparison. Besides I'm wearing high heel boots. Ice skating is the best and quickest way for me to get around. Why not have a little fun with it." I said with a smirk. I skated forward leaving Todo behind. "Race you to the exit!" I called back with a laugh. "HEY GET BACK HERE!" He shouted chasing after me. By the time I had reached the exit I had melted all the ice and Todo wasn't far behind me. I stepped out into the sunlight before turning back to him with a smile. "I win." I said simply. He shot me a look. "You're acting childish." He growled. I smirked. "Childish as I am sometimes, it was still my plan that handed us the victory. And if I come off as childish to you then so be it. Just means you won't expect much from me when my true colors and talents begin to show. Don't judge a book by its cover Todo-Kun. Otherwise you may end up defeated in the long run." I said. I shrugged before turning my back to him. "Oh, and that battle wasn't really heated. If you ask me it was an ice battle and everything but it could use just a tad more flare." I said with a smirk. "Are you trying to imply something?" Todoroki questioned with a growl in his face. I shot him a look seeing a mix of laughter and hatred in his eye, since his other eye was covered up by his costume. If I had to guess hate for the fire thing, but maybe he liked the puns. I doubt it though. I shrugged. "Welp my presence is no longer required. Imma go check on Deku. Later Todo." I said walking off, the click of my heels echoing the now silent training ground as the next team began preparations. I heard Todoroki chase after me but the moment I rounded the corner of one of the fake buildings I went fire mode and left the area. Instead of heading back to the monitoring room I went to the changing rooms and changed out of my hero costume going back to my normal outfit. I leaned up against the wall of the hall way, waiting for a certain hedgehog. He should be here in three, two, and one. My gaze shot down the hall as Bakugo stomped down, mumbling small curses to himself. Once his gaze landed on me he stopped dead. "What's the matter? Where's that explosive personality of your's?" I questioned. God D*mnit Dark. I'm so done with you. Too many puns in one day women. I smirked.
Bakugo got a tick mark on his head. "Out of my way you d*mn extra." He growled storming past me. "Hey now, no need to be so hasty." I said, grabbing his shoulder and stopping him. My smirk grew a little darker as my grip on his shoulder tightened, causing him to flinch. "That match of your's really blew up in your face huh?" I questioned. His expression turned to one of extreme anger. "What's that face for? You look like you're going to explode." That was the last straw. He attempted to grab me but I swiftly dodged, stuffing my hands into my pockets. "Wow. Someone's got a short fuse today." I said. "SHUT THE HELL UP YOU ANNOYING B*TCH!" Bakugo said. I grabbed his shoulder again, he once again stopped. This time I had a kind smile. Dragon, you're up. FINALLY! D*MN TOOK YOU LONG ENOUGH! I punched him in the face sending him back into a wall. Once he recovered I hovered over him with a smirk and dark glare. "Listen here hedgehog. I'm getting sick and tired of your bulls*it." I hissed. I quickly grabbed his arm and judo flipped him over my shoulder. He hit the ground with a loud thud and groan. "Quit. Messing. With. Deku. I'm not sure what the hell has you so God d*mn p*ssed all the time but it's about time it stops." I growled with fury. "There are plenty of people here, who have just as powerful, if not more powerful Quirks than you. And you need to learn to get over yourself. It's one thing to be cocky and over confident. But dial it back a notch. God, you're so d*mn annoying you self centered b*stered. All you do is b*tch and whine and cry. I swear, one of these days, one of these days Deku is going to beat your a*s into the ground. He's gonna get sick if it eventually and when he does I'll be right there with popcorn. Ready and recording. Because that fight is going to be amazing. You consider people like him just pebbles on the side of your road right? That's how your d*mn f*cked up brain works yeah? Well guess what dumba*s?" I questioned. "Pebbles can be deceiving. Inside a simple pebble can actually be a powerful diamond. Just waiting to be polished and to be noticed. So f*ck you, and whatever problems you have. Because your term of hell is far different than some of the rest of us. You think you've got it bad. That's f*cking adorable you d*mn hedgehog! You've never seen the worst of what society can do. You've never been through hell. You're nothing but a little b*tch who was praised all his life and needs a God d*mn wake up call. So there you go. Wake up. Get over your f*cking s*it problems. And learn something for once. Ugh. I'm sick and tired of having to deal with you. You b*stered." I panted, finally done with my rant. Bakugo sat up, looking shocked, confused, and just dumbfounded. Whoa.... That was a lot of cursing. Are you alright Dragonheart? I'm fine you s*it heads. Just tired. Can we go check on Deku now? Yeah. Let's leave before he recovers. I agree. And with that I stuffed my hands into my pockets. "It's about time you got a reality check." I scoffed. And left.
~Time Skip, Later That Night~
I was sitting in the back of the alley way, waiting for whoever had called me here. The conversation I had with them this morning repeating in my mind.
~Flash Back~
"Yo, who is this?" I questioned. "Who I am doesn't mater. Is this the Info Broker?" The person on the other line questioned. His voice sounded dark yet scratchy. I titled my head to the side slightly. "Speaking. What of it?" I asked. "I need a bit of information." He responded. I chuckled a little bit with a smirk. Nodding slightly. "Don't we all? What kinda info are we talking about over here?" I asked. "Just a little dirt on a pro hero. Nothing that serious." The person on the other line said dismissively. But I knew better than that. I glared slightly. "You're being awfully vague. What about payment?" I questioned. "I think you'll find that we can offer something a little better than money." I sneered a little, finding this utterly ridiculous. "One, that sounds weird and sends off red flags, two, you're lucky to have caught my interest. Time? Place?" I questioned. "I'll just meet you in the alley that you do most your business. How does tonight work for you?" He questioned. I nodded slightly. "Yeah sounds good. I'll send you the address later. Right now I'm not in a very secure location to be talking business." I said, eyes darting around the train station. "You're being awfully compliant. You do realize I'm a villain correct?" I smirked. This guy was no idea how Info Brokers work. I thought."I'm an Info Broker. I don't pick sides. And I'm a little curious about that payment you were offering." I said. "I've heard that you tend to give out information in riddles and hints. You won't be doing that with us will you?" He questioned. I nodded a little bit. "No. I only do that when I'm bored and just want to f*ck with people's heads. As long as the reward is good I probably won't be vague about it. So really it depends on my mood, what you're offering, and sometimes it depends on time too." I said with a shrug. "Alright. I have no further questions. See you tonight in your alley right?" "Done. See you tonight." And with that I hung up.
~Flash Back End~
I heard a noise and looked down to see a person in a black hoodie making their way down to me. Since I was dealing with a villain I had pulled out an old mask of mine. Just a simple black and (F/C) masquerade mask. "You the Info Broker?" The person questioned. I identified it as the male I had spoken with on the phone. "That would be me. Correct." I said. "So what kinda information you need? And where's my payment?" I questioned. "Oh and don't think you can go skipping out on payday. I won't tell you anything until I see my reward for coming out here late at night." I added with a small hiss in my tone. But still maintaining a constant smirk. "Fine then. I want information on a possible weak spot on All Might. As for payment I'll handle any request for you." I was shocked. My smirk faltered a little bit before returning full and strong. I shook my head. "Listen pal. As much as I'd enjoy handing over that info and getting a few things done, I must clarify that if people found out it was I that sold you that info it's my head on the line. This is shady, much more shady than any of my normal business and I'm not exactly liking being put in this position." Especially since me and Izuku are the only students that know about All Might's weakness. How did they find us? Yeah. The hell, this is suspicious as all s*it. I shook my head clearing it as I glared at the villain. "While yes, in return for that info I could get a few tasks done that I'm too lazy to do myself, but is it really worth risking my life for? Hardly." I growled. "How can you even be sure I know about something like that? I'm just some random Info Broker. How would I know something as large as All Might having a weakness. Do you have any idea how many would kill for that knowledge?" I questioned. "Random Info Broker my a*s." The guy growled, scratching his neck. "You've got a track record for knowing these things. And you're always up to date with newest events and news. And judging from you initial reaction you know something at least. I'll take anything at this point. And it's not like anyone has to know it came from you. Or that you have that information in the first place." He said. I sighed slightly. Guys, I'm stuck here. I don't want to sell out All Might, but it's my job. Just say you don't know anything b*tch! ... (Y/N)? Yo, girl you alright over there? I'm staying out of this. I don't want to be involved in this at all. It's bad enough that my body is a part of this. I refuse to let my mind be a part of it. Wait, (Y/N)! Let her go. It's obvious that she doesn't like this but she isn't shutting it down. Dark what are you going to do?
I sighed slightly. "Alright. I'll tell you. Keep in mind this is just a rumor going around. I have no solid evidence or proof that says it's true so I wouldn't base any attacks on it. But there has been a rumor that All Might sustained a fetal injury from a villain attack, and that it's effecting his health and power. He isn't dead yet and while the injury was fetal he managed to survive. However it is a wound still. You hit the wound, you found a weak spot. But like I said earlier, this is only a rumor I heard." I said. He looked shocked. "Now here are my conditions." I added quickly. "First, you tell no one where you got this info from. No one is to know that it came from me. Tell, and I'll hunt you down myself. Second, if you ever go after the number three hero, Shadow, let me know. I may just end up helping you. And finally, you send me any kind of information that seems valuable. Anything at all. Interesting Quirks, new villains, anything that you think is worth my time knowing. Am I clear?" I questioned. He nodded. "Good. Now excuse me, but I'd like to get some shut eye." I said, jumping off the dumpster I always sat on and making my way home.
All it takes is a little information. It's something that everyone wants, it's something that everyone needs. And all it takes is a little information to turn the tides of a war. And sometimes a little information can become the start of a war. It all depends on how you look at it. And even looking back on that day I could've done something to change where I am now. I could've just kept my mouth shut. But like I said I wouldn't change anything. It was thanks to that job as an Info Broker that everything became exciting. It set me on my path of where I am today. Because Info Brokers don't pick sides. We just do what we do. And get money or rewards because of it. I'm glad I became an Info Broker. After all...
"The life of an Info Broker is an exciting one, adding flare to our otherwise boring lives."
