Chapter 12: Dancing Demons

(Who's that Persona? Yes this is gonna be a thing.)

I met Shoto at the station like always. "So, how'd it go with Dragonheart? I know she can be difficult sometimes but-." "I actually enjoyed her company. She has some great pointers for combat." Shoto said. I smiled. "That's good. She can be really blunt but that's a good thing. Less confusion." I said. I sighed. "But today your gonna have a bit of a challenge." I said, sweat-dropping. "Oh boy." Shoto said, seeming a bit worried. "Welp. Good luck. That's all I can tell ya'." I said. He gave me a look. I just smiled at him. When we arrived at school I noticed Bakugo shooting me a few looks. I rolled my eyes. "Got something to say hedgehog?" I questioned. He just scoffed and avoided eye contact. Izuku walked over to me. "Hey (Y/N)." He said with a smile. I ruffled his hair with a smile. "Morning Deku. So, how's your training been?" I questioned. "I'd say it's been going well. How about you?" He questioned. I smiled. "Being honest, I've actually been helping someone else with their training." I said. He smiled at me. "Why am I not surprised? But you've gotta train too (Y/N)." He said. I laughed and ruffled his hair again. "Don't worry about it Izuku. I've got my bases covered." I said.

~Time Skip, After School~

I was in the bathroom switching to my outfit for the evening. "Tell me why you insist on wearing the butler outfit?" I questioned, putting on the tail coat. The mirror rippled and Velvet smiled back at me. "Well one it is a lot more comfortable and easier to move around in verses a dress, and two, why not grab a few eyes while we have the chance? You have to enjoy your youth (Y/N)." She responded. I sighed while slipping on the gloves and tying the tie. I fixed my hair into a neat braid with some hair smoothed in front of my left eye. My visible (E/C) eye turned red the pupil turning into a slit. (Y/N) appeared in the mirror with a worried expression. "Well then, let the games begin again old friend~." I said. I walked out of the bathroom with a calm smirk. Passing by Mineta, Kaminari, and Sero on the way. They all stared at me with mouths agape. "D-did she hurt herself falling from heaven?" Kaminari questioned. I turned to them with a smirk. "No, but I did scrap my knee crawling out of hell~." I said. I walked away hearing three thuds, one after the other. I chuckled a little bit. I walked out to the school gates to meet Shoto. "Greetings Shoto." I said giving him a small wave. "V-Velvet." He stuttered, avoiding eye contact. I chuckled a little more. "Relax. I am not using Devilish Charm. (Y/N) specifically instructed me to not give you a heart attack." I said. He breathed a sigh of relief. I then smirked a little evilly. "But she did not say I could give you an easy time at training. Come along now we have a lot of work to do." I said, grabbing his wrist and dragging him along. Once we had reached the clearing I circled him observing what I was working with. "Your ice comes from the right correct?" I questioned. "Yes it does." He responded. I was on his right at an instant holding out his arm. "Hmm....Seems you naturally produce more cold air on this side." I said. "Geez your quick." He said, releasing a breath. "Alright then." I said, dropping his arm and clapping my hands together. "First things first, stretching. You do not want to be stiff when training. The others apparently forgot this fact the past few days so let us go ahead and begin." I said. I demonstrated a few simple stretches and he copied my movements. Then came the more complicated ones. Then a few simple breathing excises. I nodded. "Now then. Onto important matters. I believe Dark and Dragon already helped you improve your Quirk and close combat skills correct?" I questioned. He nodded. "Very well then. Today will be more a test of both those skills combined. A proper sparring match. Now then, you are allowed to use both skills but I will be expecting to see both of them. Let us get right into it. No point in stalling." I said doing a few back flips to get some distance between us. I got out my silver butterfly knives getting into a stance. "Why do you have butterfly knives?" Shoto questioned. I smirked. "I do not have a more physical Quirk to attack with. Demon's Devotion only gives me demon like strength, abilities, and agility. Devilish Charm only charms both men and women into favoring me. With that in mind I need a weapon of some kind. And I found that butterfly knives and on occasion forks make perfectly suitable weapons. Now then, with that out of the way, let us continue." I said. Shoto got into a stance himself and waited.

I launched forward first only for the ground under me to be frozen solid. I jumped up just in time to avoid getting frozen myself. "Interesting opening move. It does give you an edge since ice is your main element. However..." I trailed off landing and ice skating closer to him. "It has no effect on someone who can not only use fire but also ice skate. You have to know your opponent before you can make the right call." I explained. The moment I was closer to him he jumped over my head before I could strike at him. He skated a little ways away from me before forming an ice pillar right under my feet. I stood on top of it watching him below. "Giving your enemy high ground is not a very smart move." I said. An ice spike flew right past my head. "Unless you were planing on doing that." I mumbled to myself before jumping down and throwing my knives at him. He used a small ice shield to block my knives before sending another large wave of ice at me. I quickly dodged it mid air, using it instead as a plat form. I was now right in front of him coming from higher ground. I twisted mid-air aiming for a roundhouse kick only for it to be blocked and getting countered with a front snap kick. I pulled a quick twisting move and just barely avoided it by a hair. I quickly attempted to sweep his feet out from under him only for him to jump away just in the nick of time. I had one hand on the ground in a lowered stance. I smirked. "My. Someone has improved drastically the past two days." I said. Shoto himself panted, breathing out cold air. But his eyes showed no fatigue. Only cold determination. I smirked. "Let us continue." I said. I charged at him with renewed vigor coming at him with a flurry of punches. He dodged, blocked, and managed to get a few strikes in on me as well. Though I did send him flying with a strong punch to the gut. We jumped away from eachother and he sent another wave of ice at me. I jumped over it and threw more knives at him only for them to get dodged and blocked like last time. He then circled back around and picked up said knives before tossing them back at me. I smirked before snatching them out of the air in between my fingers. I slid down the ice before skating around him like a shark would circle their prey. I noticed a little ice forming on his right side. He panted slightly. "You're fast." Shoto said as I continued to circle him. I chuckled a little. "Why thank you. But I am simply one hell of a Persona." I said before jumping up and over his head throwing the knives. He barely dodged them this time. 'He's getting slower. Time to close in.' I thought landing behind him. I rushed him only this time he was too slow to react. I elbowed the back of his head knocking him to the floor before finishing with an, albeit weak, Axe Kick. Leaving him temporarily paralyzed. I hummed a little skating around him until he could move again.

"Very good. You put up a good fight. But do not worry. This was only round one. Allow me to get this ice melted while you warm up." I said offering him a hand. He expected it and I helped pull him up, only to slip because we were still on ice. 'D*mnit Velvet, how professional of you.' I thought. We ended up in a position with Shoto pining me to the ground our faces inches apart. I just stared at him blankly. Smoke started rising from his left side. "U-umm...." He trailed off, face void of emotion. I smirked slightly. "Sho you might want to get off of me. I think the stalkers are jealous." I said, shooting a look at the trees. I swore Shoto jumped like ten feet into the air. "S-sorry!" He said. I sat up. "No problem. Besides..." I threw a knife at the trees hearing a yelp and seven thuds. "All you have to do is tell me who was watching us." I said my back still to the seven people who fell. "Bakugo, Ashido, Uraraka, Midoriya, Sero, Mineta, and Kaminari." Shoto said, offering me a hand. I accepted and with his help pulled myself up, this time not slipping. I skated over to the seven people smoothly before standing over them with a glare. "Now then. How long were you there? How much did you hear? And what is your preferred method of death?" I questioned pulling out my special gold butterfly knife. Mineta, Sero, and Kaminari all screeched in terror and hugged eachother, scooting away from me. Ashido and Uraraka hid behind Deku. And Bakugo just barked questions and insults at me. I quickly grabbed Bakugo by the back of his shirt, picked him up with strength no one thought I possessed, and proceeded to kick him out of the forest, right over the trees. I clapped imaginary dust off of my hands before fixing my gloves and smirking at the rest of them. "Who's next~?" I purred. Izuku just started sweating, the three perverts all screamed some more. And Uraraka and Ashido continued hiding behind Deku. I got rid of the three perverts next, literally throwing Mineta into the air and round house kicking him out of the forest. "Now then. Are you other three actually going to leave or do I need to toss you?" I questioned. "W-we'll just...leave. S-see you tomorrow Class Rep." Uraraka and Ashido said in unison slowly backing away. "Totally ship you and Todoroki though bye!" Ashido shouted before darting. I sighed before facepalming. I then shot a look at Izuku. He gulped a look of fear on his face. I shook my head with another sigh. "What am I going to do with you Izuku?" I questioned. I helped him stand up before turning him around and shooing him off. "Go on now. Get out of here." I said ushering him away from the clearing. "But-! I have questions!" He protested. "No Izuku. Go on now I need to get back to training with Shoto." I said. "But-!" "No buts. Go on now." I said. "Fine." He said with a sigh, walking off while sulking. I turned back around and came back to see Shoto already working on the ice. I brushed off imaginary dust again before lending him a hand. We didn't say anything to eachother as we melted the large mounds of ice. "How did you know they were there?" Shoto questioned. I smirked slightly. "I was not able to notice until the fight was over. That was when I heard seven other people breathing. Not just my breathing and your breathing." I explained. "You were able to hear their breathing?" He questioned. I smirked at him, my pupil turning into a slit. "You would be surprised at all I am capable of Shoto." I said. He blushed slightly before turning his gaze back to the task at hand. Soon all the ice was melted, with the exception of the ice floor. I noticed that he still had a little ice on his right side. I grabbed his hand suddenly causing him to flinch before pulling him into a hug. He didn't react at all until I released him and examined his right side. "No more frostbite. Pray tell, is that better?" I questioned. Shoto nodded. "Yeah actually. A lot better." He responded. I smiled. "Glad to be of service. Now then..." I trailed off grabbing his hand again and tugging him along as I started ice skating. "Before the next round, have a little fun." I said with a bright smile. He looked a little shocked but didn't protest. After a while he even started smiling and did a few tricks. "Show off much." I said with a small giggle. "I can't help it. I used to do this all the time." He said skating around me. I smirked. "Is that a challenge Shoto?" I questioned. "Take it how you will." He said, smirking back at me. I did a few tricks as well. "Top that." I said with a smirk. "Watch me." He growled back playfully. This continued for a while. Both of us laughing and enjoying ourselves. Then came the next round. This continued back and forth until the training session was over. I sighed a little as I melted the ice floor. "That was fun." I said stretching a little with a yawn. Shoto nodded in agreement. He did a few stretches himself. I pulled out my phone. "We still have a little time left. How does a walk in the park sound to you?" I questioned. "That actually sounds like a great idea." Shoto agreed. I held out my hand to him. "I know a shortcut." I said. He took my hand and I teleported us there.

"That teleportation of yours is really useful." Shoto pointed out at as we started walking. I smirked. "Yes that it is, Sky uses it a lot so it does not require as much energy as you would expect. She is often too lazy to walk so she much rather prefers the use of her 'shortcuts'." I said using air quotes. "You know that teleportation only works when I make physical contact with someone." I said. "I noticed." He said. 'I don't think he realized he is still holding my hand.' I thought snickering slightly. "Is something funny?" Shoto questioned. "No. Just remembering something that Dragonheart told me." I responded with a small smile. He hummed a little. "You and Dragonheart are a lot alike. Despite being opposite eachother." He pointed out. I smirked. "That is actually more accurate than you might think it is." I said. "Really?" He questioned. "Me and Dragonheart both formed at the same time. We are total opposites no point in denying that. But we share similarities as well. We are...a lot closer than some of the other personas. Each Persona was formed with a partner. Chibi has been with (Y/N) since the beginning. I was formed alongside Dragonheart. Sky and Darkheart were a pair as well. But me and Dragonheart complete eachother. You cannot have one without the other. We are like yin and yang. Light and darkness. Whichever term you prefer using. Opposite, yet complete eachother. And yes, we have fights just like anyone else. But I personally can never say no to Sparky." I explained. "That....sounds nice." Shoto admitted. I laughed slightly. "That it is. We see eachother as sisters, not other personalities. Mostly because our actual sister hates us just as much as our brothers do." I said. "Even your siblings hate you?" Shoto questioned. I sighed. "Unfortunately so. After mother became just as bad as our father our siblings followed suit. Dragon wishes to explode at all of them. She wants to knock them back into their senses. Dark just wants to leave. Rent out an apartment and leave that life behind. As an Info Broker she makes enough for it. Sky, she is simply too lazy to care unless things get physical. In which case she would probably just dodge and hope for the best. We used to knock Chibi out so as to protect her but  now she to wishes to kick their butts just as much as Dragonheart does. Me, I want to assert ourselves as a member of that household. Even if it has to get violent. But poor (Y/N) just takes the abuse. She's too scared to take action. That fear has been planted in her mind at a young age. And since she is the one who controls all of us we simply cannot act. She would sneak out of the house almost everyday so that she could meet Izuku and play with him. Him, Dragonheart, and Darkheart kept her sane for all those years. And I am glad that she did. During that time me, Sky, and Chibi were locked into (Y/N)'s subconscious so to protect us from our father's wrath. We were only freed recently." I explained. I leaned on his shoulder slightly as we walked. "Sparky and the others have changed so much since I last saw them. Darkheart used to just be our knowledge. Now she is simply creepy and disturbing. Dragonheart used to have a little sass and want to snap at people. Now she is full blown Rage4Days. And (Y/N)....she had changed most of all. She used to be so cheerful, full of life. Now...." I avoided eye contact. "She is so bitter now. And she has not seemed to feel true joy for a while. She can fake it so easily. It shocks me to no end." I said. "I worry about all of them. I have always been the more mature one. And I see myself as the one who watches all the others and protects them." I said, keeping my voice low. "We are all (Y/N), just different aspects of her..." I trailed off a few tears falling. "So why does it feel like now I barely know myself now?" I questioned. Shoto squeezed my hand reminding me that he was there. "O-oh. Apologies. It is not very polite of me to start ranting like that." I said sitting back up straight and wiping my eyes with my free hand. He stopped walking as did I. I hummed a little bit in confusion before he hugged me, causing my breath to hitch and me to tense up. He didn't say anything. And he didn't need too. I relaxed, releasing a breath and hugging him back. "Thank you." I mumbled, pulling away. "I did not realize that I needed that." I said still holding his hand. "It's understandable. Sometimes you just need a hug. I can understand that." Shoto responded honestly. I smiled at him. "Well this evening was more eventful than intended." I said, laughing slightly, spirits now lifted. He chuckled a little. I checked the time. "Well unfortunately I am going to have to bring it to a close. But thank you for the wonderful evening." I said. "Thank you for spending time with me." Shoto responded. I smirked slightly. I leaned over and kissed his check. The blush on his face was priceless. "See you soon Sho~." I said with a wink releasing his hand and teleporting home.

~Shoto's POV~

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DID THAT JUST HAPPEN!? THE F*CK!? My fire sparked to life before I smothered it quickly. I slowly leaned against a nearby tree taking deep breaths. "T-that was sudden." I mumbled to myself, getting my heart rate under control. "Get a hold of yourself!" I hissed at myself. I heard a thud behind the tree I was leaning on. I sighed. "How long were you watching?" I questioned. "Long enough~. So does this mean your falling for her? I've never seen your fire spark like that before, or you blush like that. Typically you're so emotionless. I've definitely never seen you get flustered before that's for d*mn sure." I sighed slightly. "So are you falling for her? I never expected the scout to fall for someone." I facepalmed. "Riiiight. And it's perfectly normal for the d*mn encyclopedia to be stalking me." I growled. "Actually it is perfectly normal. I've got to get my information somehow don't I?" "Shut it with your stupid logic." I growled. "Still....Do you think she's a good candidate?" I hummed a little. "She has potential. And she's strong too. And her Quirk....it's on an entirely different level than anything I've seen before." I said. "No fair! How come you get to know what her Quirk is?" I smirked slightly. "I never took you to be the jealous type." I said. "Shut it. But seriously, what's her Quirk?" I shook my head. "She made me promise not to tell." I said. "NO FAIR SHOTO!" "Keep your voice down idiot." I hissed. "Why are you so cold to everyone expect her?" I shook my head. "Wouldn't you like to know." I growled. "Yeah, that's why I'm asking dumba*s." I sighed. "Look. Just mind your own business. She keeps her Quirk secret for her own reasons. It's her secret to tell not mine." I said. "So far I've noted that she has fire and teleportation abilities. What else can she do?" "I'm not telling moron." I growled. "You're so mean Shoto." I could already hear the pout. I sighed. "Listen. You should figure out her Quirk soon enough. If you actually think about it it's not that hard to get a basic understanding of what it is." I said. I heard a sigh. "It's been a while since someone's caught your eye like she has. What is it about her huh? Tell me." "What part of 'not telling' do you not understand?" I questioned. "Just tell me~. Is it her looks? Her strength? Do you like her personality? Can she relate to you? Have you met her somewhere before but you can't place where?" "I'm leaving." I said, standing up and walking away. "You're no fun Shoto!" I just sighed. "What a pain." I grumbled.

~Meanwhile In (Y/N)'s Mind~

Velvet walked in causing all of us to perk up. "So how was the date?" Chibi questioned. "It was not a date Chibi." Velvet corrected. She then smirked at me. "Strong, polite, smart, and adorable as well. Definitely a keeper (Y/N)." She said winking. I blushed. "So you like him as well?" Darkheart questioned. "'Like' in which way? If a romantic way it is far too soon to tell. If as a friend and comrade than absolutely. And I will not deny he is truly an interesting one. After all, it is not everyday someone is somewhat immune to Devilish Charm." This caused all of us to focus on her, even Sky. "I'm sorry, f*cking pause for a d*mn minute. He's immune!?" Dragonheart questioned. "Somewhat. He seemed nervous when I first showed up but as the evening progressed the only time my charms seemed to effect him was when I was in direct physical contact. Unlike normal where my charms effect everyone at just a glance when I am using Devilish Charm." Velvet explained, sitting down. "So not only has he made both Dark and Sparky flustered, but he's immune to Velvet?" I questioned. "Apparently." Sky said with a shrug. Chibi burst out laughing. "Woooow! You all are totally crushing on him!" She said. "Shut it!" Me, Velvet, Darkheart, and Dragonheart all barked at her. "My point is made for me." She said, messing around on her DS. Darkheart just pushed up her glasses while messing around on her flip phone. Dragonheart just avoided eye contact. Velvet coughed drawing attention to herself. "Well that would be three down. Three more to go." She reminded. I nodded. "He's gonna have his work cut our for him this time huh?" I questioned. Nods of agreement broke out among the personas. "Well let's get some shut eye." Sky said. More agreements.
