Chapter 1: Kidnapping
The air was thick with tension, so dense it could be sliced with a knife. As usual, it was a typical Todoroki family dinner. Midoriya watched his boyfriend Shoto with concern while Shoto and Natsuo glared daggers at their father, the sound of slurping soba filling the strained silence. Fuyumi, ever the peacekeeper, attempted to diffuse the atmosphere with forced cheerful conversation.
Suddenly, a blinding light engulfed the room.
---
Dabi groaned in pain as he stapled yet another loose piece of skin. His so-called apartment, a room in an abandoned building, had one intact window to keep out the cold. Though he didn't mind the chill, the closed window protected his most treasured possession: a red feather on a necklace. Just as he was about to apply another staple, an intense light blinded him, causing him to stumble back with a curse.
---
Hawks retched over the toilet bowl, hoping he had finally expelled the last of it. He cursed morning sickness as he weakly stood up. Dabi's large jacket almost drowned him; he never understood how it seemed bigger on him, despite his trained muscles, while Dabi was mostly skin and bones. Wiping his mouth with a towel, he tried to drink some water. A bright light was the last thing he saw before he passed out from exhaustion, collapsing on the bathroom floor.
---
Rei smiled as she read letters from her children, cherishing each word. Each line brought warmth to her heart, a reminder of the love she had fought so hard to protect. Her peaceful moment was interrupted by a sudden bright light. She shielded her eyes, gasping in surprise.
---
Everyone awoke in a strange, unfamiliar room. It appeared to be a theater. The Todoroki family, Midoriya, and Hawks found themselves seated in plush theater seats.
"What the hell is going on?" Dabi growled, looking around with a mix of anger and confusion. His eyes widened as he noticed the unconscious Hawks on the ground. Worry instantly replaced his irritation at seeing his lover—if they could even call themselves that, enemies with benefits was more fitting—in such a state.
Endeavor knelt down next to the fellow pro hero. "Hawks." He nudged him lightly. When Hawks didn't move, Endeavor shook him more firmly. "Hawks! Wake up. Are you okay?" he asked, worry creasing his usually stern features.
With a gasp, Hawks came to, coughing harshly and forcing the vomit back down, not wanting to throw up again. Endeavor helped him sit up.
"Thanks, buddy," Hawks croaked hoarsely.
"Don't call me that," Endeavor said gruffly, but the concern in his eyes betrayed his words.
Midoriya clutched Shoto's hand tightly. "Shoto, are you okay?" he asked, his voice trembling slightly.
"I'm fine," Shoto replied, his eyes narrowing as he scanned the room. "But where are we?"
Rei reached out to touch Natsuo's arm, her face pale. "Natsuo, is everyone here?"
Natsuo quickly counted the heads around the room. "It looks like it, Mom. But who brought us here?"
Before anyone could answer, a figure stepped into the room. She was a woman with long, flowing hair and an aura of authority. Her eyes glowed with a strange, ethereal light.
"Welcome, everyone," she said, her voice echoing slightly in the room. "I apologize for the suddenness, but we have important matters to discuss."
"Who are you?" Endeavor demanded, stepping forward protectively.
The woman smiled gently. "I am the Dimension Princess. I have brought you all here for a reason."
"What reason?" Hawks asked, his voice still hoarse. He still felt the remnants of morning sickness and exhaustion tugging at him.
The Dimension Princess looked at each of them in turn. "To show you the future," she said simply. "And to help you understand the importance of your actions in the grand scheme of things. Also, entertainment!" she added cheekily.
The room fell silent as everyone absorbed her words, the weight of the situation settling over them.
Another blinding light filled the room.
"Again with the fucking light?!" Dabi cursed, irritation clear in his voice.
Two more figures appeared.
"Mirko?!"
"Boss?!"
"Shigaraki!"
"Alright, chill and sit down!" The Dimension Princess yelled over the angry shouts.
Once the light dimmed, everyone's eyes widened in shock. A large screen appeared, and the Dimension Princess gestured towards it.
"Please, take your seats. It's time to see what lies ahead," she said, her voice soft yet commanding. The weight of her words pressed on them, the reality of their situation sinking in deeper.
Reluctantly, they complied, curiosity and trepidation warring within them as they prepared to witness their future unfold before their eyes.
