Todoroki Pov the next day at school

"HE DID WHAT!?" Iida shouted in the busy hallway.

"SHH!" I look around, "You have to be more quite, I don't want anyone to know this happened."

The day has not started yet and I was in the hallway when I saw Iida. I'm not sure why I decided to tell him, I just feel like I couldn't tell anyone else. I didn't even tell my sister when I saw her after I got back. Maybe it was the shock but I couldn't bring myself to talk about it yet.

"Wait, Midoryia must know this happened, right?"

"No, he didn't see it happen, he questioned it when I said that we were leaving, but he didn't really confront me about it later."

"Oh my, are you gonna confront Kyle about his actions?" Iida asked me.

"Oh, no way, I'm too scared to."

"Really?" the concern in Iidas voice was almost overwhelming, "Todoroki... this must have deeply upset you.."

I took in a breath through gritted teeth, "Well, yeah, but I also put a pop can in his freezer and forgot about when I stormed out and that thing definitely exploded."

"Oh."

"I mean, like, I would have gone back and got it, but like, ya know."

"Yeah.."

The morning school chimes went over the PA telling all students to get to class.  Iida and I were right outside the doors when we snaked our way through the students to get to our seats.

I sat down at my desk and placed my elbows on the desk top to support the weight of my head.

It's okay, this is a normal day, nothing special, I don't have any reason to worry..

"Where's Kyle?" Aizawa said aloud to the class as soon as everyone shuffled into their seats.

I would say in my nightmares, but I don't think that's the answer he wants.

The door slid open.

"WAIT! I'm here! I'm right here, I'm not late," Kyle stood in the door way, his uniform was not straightened, his hair was a mess, and he still held his toothbrush in his right hand. He was panting and out of breath.

"The clock says 8:00, you have to be in your seat by that time, otherwise you are considered late."

"Uhh, man.." Kyles demeanor became slumped in the doorway.

"I'm in a good mood today, so I'll let you go with a warning, don't let it happen again."

Without another peep outta Kyle he moved to his seat.

Izuku turned around to face him, "Are you Okay?"

I couldn't help but ease drop on their conversation.

"Yeah, like, I'm fine but it was just so weird this morning. I went to get some Eggo™ waffles and a pop had frozen over night and literally obliterated the inside of my freezer."

"Oh, really?"

"Yeah, it took me so long to clean."

"That's pretty sucky, I'm sorry."

"Yeah so anyway, I was all like of course you can barrow my game of parcheesi, but don't play Seinfeld Scene It without me," I say to Uraraka while in line for lunch.

"Wow, Todoroki, I can't imagine a Friday night without you."

I'm not sure where Izuku is and as soon as the bell rang for lunch, he had to talk with All Might for some reason. Kyle also disappeared, but now I see Kyle in the back of the lunch line, so if Izuku is back from talking, he's most likely just sitting at the lunch table already.

Kyle is probably gonna sit with us again. I know I should just try and act cool and act like nothing happened, but I just don't know what that Kyle guy is thinking.

Better just avoid him at all cost like I do my other problems.

"Hey, Todoroki!" Someone behind me said.

I turn and see Kirishima, "Yeah?"

"You ready for tonight?" He asked referring to the dating auction.

Oh Believe me... I'm over joyed...

"Oh, haha, yeah, I guess," a lie, "I don't know how you can even really prepare for something like that," I said to him.

"Right, just make sure to get here tonight around 2 hours early. I was told to get that word around around to the people participating. And Uraraka, aren't you the MC?" Kirishima pointed to Uraraka as he spoke.

Uraraka smirked, "You got that right, and I'll be the best MC on this side of the Mississippi!"

What the actual fuck does that mean? What's a Mississippi?

"Haha, I don't get your slang, but you got it! I'll see you guys later!" Kirishima started to turn when he saw Bakugou, "Oh Bakugo! Wait a sec-" he ran to him and started talking of the dating auction again.

Uraraka and I finally got our lunch and went to our usual spots only to find no one sitting there. I guess he's still talking with All Might.

Now that Uraraka is the MC, I should rethink telling her the plan that Izuku and I made.

"Uraraka!"

We both turn to the voice and speak of the devil, it's Izuku.

"Deku, it took you long enough to get here," Uraraka said.

"Yeah, sorry I got caught up with talking, but I just ran into Kirishima on the way here, since when have you been the MC?" He sat down next to me.

"They offered me the job yesterday, the old one canceled, something about demonic possession, I don't really know.." she trailed off before drinking milk through a straw.

Demonic possession..?

"Well that's great! That means all of us will be there!" Izuku said to Uraraka.

A demonic possession sound pretty serious...

"Wait really? All of us will?" Uraraka asked Izuku.

I hope the person is okay.. I mean, getting rid of a demon a tricky thing...

"Well, as soon as I convince Iida to come we will all be there," Izuku returned Urarakas question.

I mean, I've done it twice, maybe three times, and I'm still only 50/50 at exorcisms...

"Wait Deku? Why are you going?" Uraraka asked Izuku.

They weren't even that strong of demons either, just underlings, weak, small, and fragile ones.

"Oh! Did Todoroki not tell you?" Izuku nugged me, bringing me into their conversation.

"Huh? What? Was I the only one caught up on that demon thing?" I looked between both of them.

"What? No that doesn't matter, do you have something to tell me?" Uraraka asked.

"Uhhhhhhhhh..." What were they talking about?

"You're useless, what is it then, Deku?" She slapped me in the face with her words.

Izuku began, "Oh, well, the reason I'm going to the dating auction-"

WAIT! DONT TELL ME.... I CANT LET HIM TELL HER!

I jump to cover his mouth with my hand, "TO CHEER US ON! Of course!! What a great friend, hahahaahahahahhaaahahahahhahha...." I nervously smile.

Please buy it...

With my hand still over his mouth, Uraraka looked dumbfounded but gave a breathy, "Okay..?"

"Hahaha, hey, Midoriya, I've just realized I forget where the bathroom was, can you show me where it is?"

I uncover his mouth and turn to him. When he looks at me in confusion, I wink at him with the eye Uraraka can't see.

"Uhhh, right, it's this way.."

He gets up, and I follow him out into the hall before I stop him.

"Wait, Midoriya.."

"Hmm?"

"I'm sorry.. about what I did back there,  but I hadn't had a the time to tell you that I don't think Uraraka should know about our plan.." I said my words while looking away from him, and when I finished I glanced towards him.

"Oh, yeah that's fine, but why the sudden change?"

Because I wanted this just between you and me...

"Because... she's the MC and it wouldn't be fair to tell her about this plan. Also I'm not sure if what we are doing is breaking any rules, so I think it's better this way... with only us.. only us knowing about it..."

He looked at me for a sold moment. He blinked a few times slowly before talking, "Yeah! That makes total sense."

Oh thank god.

"I should have thought about it more before telling someone our plan like that, it's a good thing you stopped me-"

The bathroom door swung up, and out walked Kyle rolling down his sleeves.

I felt my stomach sink.

As soon as the door opened, we caught his eye, "Well! If it isn't my two favorite people," he walked right between us and put an arm around my shoulders, making my lean down from his height difference, and his other around Izuku, "Don't tell Uraraka I said that."

Are. You. Fucking. Kidding Me.

Of all places I go to have a conversation...

"Man, lunch is way too long, that's why I always go to the bathroom during it, but what were you guys doing out in the hall?" As he talked he let me and Izuku out of our choke holds as he did he brushed the back of my neck, giving me chills.

He walked in front of us with his hands in his pockets.

"That's none of your b-"

"We were just talking," Izuku cut me off.

Kyle stopped in his tracks and turned his his body half way back to us, "Really? About what?"

"The dating auction, are you gonna go?" Izuku asked and walked forward and past Kyle.

"Mmmm, I don't know," Kyle now matched Izukus pace, "I'd definitely go if you were in it.."

My jaw hit the floor.

HE DID NOT JUST SAY WHAT I THINK HE SAID

"Wh.. Huh!?" Izuku stopped where he stood. 

Kyle finger gunned at Izuku until he reached the cafeteria doors and walked in, leaving us in the hallway.

I gritted my teeth in frustration.

God I hate that guy.

"It's crooked."

"No, it's not, don't touch it."

"Yes it is, just a little bit this way.."

*Slap*

"Don't touch it."

Uraraka high-heel clicked away.

God damn she slaps hard.

I don't care what she says, my bow tie was not put on correctly. I should just redo the whole thing.

I was currently behind stage at the dating auction and I was also all by myself.

Okay, I guess I'm not "alone" alone, but all that I have to keep me company is Bakugou, who isn't much for conversation, and Kirishmia, who isn't much for conversation when Bakugou is around.

And I don't even know where those two are anyway. Other then Uraraka I've been kinda shut off from just about all other human contact since I got here almost two hours ago.

I brought my sore hand, freshly slapped by Uraraka, up to my bow tie and un-did it.

We still had a good twenty minutes left until the curtains drop. I'm pretty sure I can figure out how to tie a bow in that time.

...........

PANIC. PANIC. PANIC.

I've spent the last fifteen minutes or so trying to figure out how to tie and bow tie and haven't even come close to it.

*BANG* *BANG* *BANG*

"TODOROKI!"

Oh no. That must be-

"YOU BETTER BE READY!"

I hear Uraraka storm away.

I'm fucked, tonight is the end.

I heard another knock at the door.

No way, Uraraka is back already? That was like 5 seconds.

"Come in," I say aloud to the door, the doorknob turned slowly and the door also slowly moved open.

Izuku poked his head past the door. He looked left and right before looking at me and let out a relieved breath.

What is he doing here? Like, I'm happy about it, but how'd he get back here?

"Hey," he walked up to me and smiled.

I studied his face as a smile slowly came to my face, "How did you... get in here?"

I felt my hand lift subconsciously to reach out to him, but I held back.

"Oh! Well, I had to avoid Uraraka," he said with a slight nervous laugh, "But it wasn't hard, Kirishima was able to help me with a distraction." He stopped talking and smiled at me.

Kirishima, my main man.

"Okay, but what are you doing here, it's gonna start in like, 5 minuets," I say and look at the wall clock.

"I should be asking you the same thing, everyone else in the auction is standing by the backstage entrance already," he looked back to the door he came in as he talked.

"Well.... I was gonna head out there..." I bring my hands to the untied bow tie around my neck, "but, uh...."

"Do you need help?"

He stepped closer. Izukus hands were within mine as he took the fabric of the tie. He then took another step closer, almost completely closing the gap between us.

W-what? HE'S SO CLOSE! I can't even breath.

All I could do was stare at him in bewilderment as I tried to catch up to the position we were in. I felt my pulse in my ears. Izuku was focused on the neck tie, but for a split second, he looked into my eyes.

"OH! um... thanks, you didn't have to do this, haha, umm," I looked up and to the right. My eyes darted around the room trying to focus on something, anything.

DAMMIT! Why can't I just keep it together? My face is probably beat red right now and am I shaking?

"It's no problem...and there," Izuku finished tying the bow. He took a few steps back giving me my personal space back.

I brought my hand up to my neck and felt the tie.

Wow, he's not half bad.

"Thanks, I never would have gotten it on my own, but I should really head out there now, if I'm any later Uraraka will kill me without hesitation," I run to the door and fling it open. I'm about walk out when I pause and look back at Izuku, who hadn't moved an inch, but turned around to face me, "Are you just gonna stand there?"

After a moment of hesitation, he answers, "Oh, right!" He joins me at the door, "When your on stage, look at the second row, near the left side. That's where I am."

I let his comment linger in the air. I look into his eyes as he looks back at me, "Okay, I will."

"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, rich and poor, old and young, come one came all, to UA's first annual Dating Auction!"

A very limited amount of claps came from the crowd.

Uraraka, this is a dating auction, not a circus.

I was still behind stage, waiting to be called onto the floor, with everyone else participating.

"We have a lovely selection of gents all waiting to take any one of you on the date of your dreams, so without further ado, lets bring out the first year auctionie!"

"Okay guys, I'll see you in a little," Kirishima walked through the opening in the curtains and was met with claps from the crowd.

What a brave man.

"Kirishima is waiting to take one of you on a playful date at a fun house slash arcade! All you have to do is bid and the date is yours!"

After Kirishima, I was up next, and after me was Bakugou. I didn't bother to remember who went up after that.

Okay, focus, don't be nervous, I gave Deku 300, and he said he had around 200, no one is gonna bid more than that.

"Do I hear, 50? 50 to the lady in blue. Do I hear 75? 75 to the man in black. Do I hear 100? 100 going once, 100 to the lady in yellow..."

A continuous stream of Urarakas auctioner voice filled the backstage.

"And sold! To the man with lighting hair!"

Claps again came from the crowd. Kirishima walked back out from being on stage.

Lightning hair? That must be Denki, looks like he stepped up for Kirishima just like Izuku did for me.

Man, I still owe him 60$ for that urn.

"Aaahaha, 300 isn't too bad?" Kirishima came back behind stage.

"Nice job Kirishima," I say as he walks past me.

"Thanks man, good luck out there, hopefully you get a good one," he walked past me.

Oh, Kirishima, I've got everything under my control, don't worry.

"Alright, and we are right on to the next one!"

That must be my cue to walk out. I walk through the opening in the curtains I was immediately blinded by the stage lights.

"....aah, fuck..." I whisper as I walk to center stage.

"Todoroki is looking to take one of you to The Grand Aquarium which will include feeding dolphins, petting sting rays, and a midnight garden walk, we will start the biding at 50!"

I look into the crowd and in the second row, near the left, I see a hand shoot up.

"50 to the boy in black!"

I see Izuku stand up fully, he looked to be counting the money, and preparing to bid again.

"Do I hear 75? 75 to the girl in blue. How about 100? 100 to the boy in black. Can I get 125? 125 to the girl in yellow! Anyone with 150? 150 to the boy in black..."

With every counter bid, Izuku returned a higher one. I have never felt my heart flutter so much from such a simple action. I couldn't stop myself from smiling.

.....

"Alright! Anyone, 310? 310 to the boy in orange, 320? 320 to the boy in black, 330?"

Come on....

"Going once..."

Almost there....

"Going twice..."

Here it is....

I close my eyes and wait for Uraraka to say the word. I can see it now, the blue of the aquarium water, the salty taste of the air, the miserable crowds and long lines for the bathroom.

"1000...."

What..? 1000? I didn't give Izuku that much money. That didn't sound like his voice either.

I open an eye and look out to the crowd. The only person standing is Izuku, but.. where are they all looking?

I follow their stares to the isle along the left side close to Izuku. I see someone walking down the isle at a slow pace while slowly putting down their hand.

Wait a minute...

No... no no nO NO!!!

Kyle stopped at the end of the isle

I look back to Uraraka, she's was in the same dazed state I was a few seconds ago.

"Uh... um, 1000.. going to the man in the isle."

I hear coins fall in the crowd and when I look, I see Izuku trying to empty his pockets, looking for any type of change he had.

"Going once.."

There's no way there was enough.

He frantically looked around the crowd before he looked back to me. 

"Going twice.."

His face crushed me from the inside out.

"Sold."

Bakugou pov

Dammit, why am I here? And why did that stupid half and half bastard go before me?

"And now for our next date!"

This is so dumb, I could be training right now. I'd rather have detention then this.

"I said! And now for our next date!"

God, I can't wait for this night to be over, I don't wanna go on some stupid date with a low life.

"BAKUGOU! GET YOUR ASS OUT HERE!"

Huh? Did she just..? Wait, fuck, that's my cue.

I stomp to center stage and stand grudgingly towards the audience.

"Alright, Bakugou is planning a wonderful date to a Professional Basketball Game (go cavs) and then finishing the date off at a beautiful street side diner. We will start the bidding at 50$."

Absolute silence.

What. The. Fuck.

Don't these people know what a real man looks like?

"Uhhh, Okay, how about 30$?"

A cough came from the crowd and then a baby started crying, those being the only things that broke the silence.

WHY THE FUCK IS THERE A BABY HERE? Is the baby gonna buy a date? I DONT THINK SO!

"4$ can I get 4$."

Son of a bitch... I can't let this hurt my pride, but fuck, it stings bad...

"Okay, who wants him, just-just take him, anyone?"

"I have 3$," A voice from the crowd shouted.

"OH! Yes! Dear Christ Almighty! Okay! 3$ going to the girl in the front."

Took her long enough, though I think I'm at least worth 3.75$. Let's see girl in front.

I look into the sea of people and find the girl in the front row.

WAIT! HOLD THE PHONE! Don't tell me...

MELLOW!?

THIS CANT HAPPENING.

"WAIT! NO! ANYONE! ANYONE ELSE BUT HER!" I shout hoping for a miracle.

"Going once!"

"ILL PAY YOU DOUBLE!"

"Going twice!"

"ILL PAY YOU TRIPLE!!"

"Sold! Wow, can't believe that actually happened!"

NOOOOOO!! HOW CAN THIS BE FAIR?

I love messing with all your hearts (I was also crying while writing that scene with Deku😂)

Anyway I hoped you were a little surprised by this chapter and it wasn't really predictable cause let's be honest it's getting to that point😂😆
