The sound of giggling filled my ears along with the smell of smoke followed by a scream I shot out of bed noticing both Ethan and Liam were gone I raced into the kitchen and grabbed the fire extinguisher and yanked the pin out before grabbing the hose putting the fire out a cough escaped me "Ethan baby where are you?" I called out in a matter of seconds Ethan came running into my arms crying "hay what happened buddy? are you hurt?" I asked as I wiped his tears away he shook his head no and a sigh of relief left me "what were you thinking you couldve gotten hurt" I snapped at him I made my way to the window to open them "I wand to make you briefest" He whimpered out I let out another sigh as I pulled him into a protective hug he hugged me back our hug was cut short by Lilias cries we let go of each other "how about we go out to eat today?" I asked him his smile widened as he nodded his head furiously "okay quick go get dressed" I said he giggled once again before running down the hall to his room as I made my way to mine to take care of Lilia I dress Lilia in a little blue dress with a pink flower head band before grabbing her diaper bag "Ethan are you ready yet?" I asked as I existed my room closing the door behind me I made my way to the front door slipping on a pair of dark purple flats with a rose design in a lighter purple on them Ethan came running out after me a small laugh came from me as we all loaded up in the car I had already had Lilias stroller in the trunk so all I had to do was buckle everyone up and grab my purse once I had everything and locked the front door I started the car and drove off we went to an ice-cream parlor in the mall once we were done eating our ice-cream we went to a store to buy more baby clothes for Lilia some where through the day I noticed we were being followed but paid no mind to it thinking I may have just been paranoid but lord was I wrong so very wrong when we left the mall and went to the park I sat on a bench and watched Ethan. Lilia was taking a nap in the stroller when I felt someone behind me "you know Its rude to stalk someone" I said knowing exactly who It was that was behind me "I'm just following orders Y/n" he said I didnt have to look at him to know he was smirking "so the kid Is he Tobys?" he asked I let out a sigh "yeah he Tobys how is everyone back home Tim" I asked back answering his question as well he let out a long sigh "they are well Toby and Jane are a mess Clockwork moved out after Toby almost killed her for what happened hes tried to find you but failed and soon realized that even if he did find you he wouldnt know what to say to you and hes scared" he finished speaking I was on the verge of tears but held them back Its been five years and it still hurts like it happened yesterday "if this is your way of getting me to come back its not going to happen nice try Masky" I said as I stared at Ethan laughing and playing with the other kids "he deserves to have both parents in his life Y/n and you know it" he said I didnt say anything else I just kept watching Ethan "Mommy watch me" Ethan shouted from across the park a smile crossed my face "I'm watching buddy" I said back as I watched him climb the rock wall and go down the slide next to it before going to the swing set "hes a lot like him Toby I mean you know theres not a day that goes by that I dont miss you guys back at the mansion however dont you think that if Toby wants me back he should come for me him self instead of sending friends to do it for him" I state Masky nodded chuckling to himself "I couldn't agree more" he replied a smile graced my face as I stood up and waved my arm "Ethan its time to go" I called he looked at me with a smile before getting off the swing and hugging the girl he was playing with "your always welcome at the mansion keep that in mind if anything comes up" Masky said as Ethan showed up next to me I grabbed Lilias stroller and Ethans hand before heading back to the car "returning home huh wouldnt that be great?" I asked myself Ethan gave me a questioning look before asking "wut you mean mommy?" he tilted his head I laughed "nothing bud" I replied as I unlocked the car putting Lilia in her car seat and buckling her up I shut her door after I put her stroller in the trunk Ethan was already buckled so all I had to do was turn his tv on I got in the car and started it up heading to the grocery store then heading house to make dinner Liam hadnt returned yet which I was grateful for but I was also worried he was my friend after all even if he was an abusive asshole "Ethan buddy go get ready for your bath dinner will be ready in a hour" I said as I stirred the spaghetti sauce in the pan on the stove once Ethan was in the bathroom I let out a sigh "I see Masky didnt waste anytime sending you here what do you want" I asked as a person emerged from the shadows "y-yeah I f-figured you'd rather I-I come m-myself this t-time" Tobys voice rang out It took all my strength not to run up and hug him "what do you want?" I asked the air around us was thick the room was silent "I-I wanted-" Toby was cut off by Ethan "mommy whos that?" he asked with his head tilted "this is mommys friend Toby hay wait didn't I tell you to go take a bath?" I asked Ethan with a small smirk a childish grin spread across his face as he giggled running off to the bathroom "y-you have a s-son?" Toby asked as he twitched a little a great way to tell hes upset I nodded "yep I also have a daughter kind of shes really my niece" I said sadly Toby took a seat as I continued to stir the sauce around "what were you saying Toby?" I asked fully aware what he was going to say nothing "I-I just came to-to see how you w-were" He said a sigh escaped me the air around us was depressing "I know why you're here Toby" I said he didnt say anything I moved the sauce to another burner before turning it off I turned to look at him I noticed he doesnt have his face guard on he stared at the floor "I-" I was cut off by Lilia crying a sigh left me "would you like to stay for dinner? Ethan would love the company" I asked I knew I was only hurting myself the longer he stayed but at this point I didnt care he nodded as I left the room to get Lilia I walked to the kitchen and looked at Toby who continued to stare off at the floor "hay can you hold Lilia while I make her a bottle?" I asked Toby he jumped at my voice as if he forgot I was here "Y-You sure thats a g-good idea?" he asked I thought for a moment before nodding I walked over to him "put your arms like this" I said as I showed him with my arms I nodded when I was satisfied with the position his arms were in before passing the baby to him I walked over to the cabinet and began making a bottle and as if on cue she began to cry I saw Toby jump a little which I couldnt help but giggle at "still jumpy I see" I laughed out grabbing her from him and giving her the bottle which she gladly took "y-yeah I g-guess so" he said twitching again "Toby whats wrong your twitching" I asked he didnt answer I sighed again for what felt like the hundredth time today "Toby please answer me" I said quietly my eyes began to tear up the room was silent I heard Ethan call me "I'll be right back don't move" I said I took Lilia to my room setting her in the crib before covering her up and heading to the bathroom were Ethan was shivering I got him a towel and wrapped him up in it once he was dry and dressed I began to dry his hair "Is that my dad in twere" he asked I was taken back by how fast he figured it out tears filled his eyes "does he hate me mommy?" he asked again I panicked "no, no buddy he loves you Im sure of it" I said back Ethan brought his hands up to his eyes and began to rub them trying to get rid of the tears only to fail "then why doesnt he l-live here with u-us?" he asked crying more I pulled him in to my chest "mommy and daddy have some problems I'm positive he loves just as much as I do now dry those tears his going to stay for dinner tonight so you two can catch up" I said with a smile he wiped his eyes before looking up at me "r-really?" he asked I nodded a big smile crossed his face as I let go of him "now lets go your dads waiting" I said once we stepped out of the bathroom and into the hall I heard him talking on the phone "I-I know.. I will be d-done later yes, I-I will tell her. Of course, s-sir... Ill be there s-shortly..." he said and hung up I walked into the kitchen Ethan was hiding behind me a fake smile graced my face "your leaving huh?" I asked Toby looked guilty before nodding "s-sorry" he replied "cant you at least stay for dinner? Please" I pleaded he sighed nodding "f-fine but your calling Slender b-back he said handing me his phone" I nodded with a huge smile I made everyones plate and drinks while the boys were eating I went out to the back yard phone in hand I press the button for the boss as we like to call him and pressed call I put the phone to my ear as they answered "hello?" the person asked I smiled and let out a bitter laugh "hay Slender long time to chat" I said with a smile.
