"What's his deal?" Asked one worker to the other.

"What do you mean?" Said the other perplexed.

"That young man, why does he waste his time here helping the homeless where he could be off doing bigger and better things?"

The other was silent for a moment. Spooning out a portion of mashed potatoes to be placed on a tray that belonged to eager hands.

"I heard he lost his wife and daughter in a car accident." The other finally said.

"What does that have to do with anything?"

"That's why he's here."

The one was taken aback. "What do you mean?"

The other looks at the one.

"He says that helping them helps him."
