Jason POV

My vines constricted tight to my body and implanted its thorny soldiers into our shoulders, Percy and I grimaced in pain.

"Oh come on, seriously" Percy shouted

"Shhhhhhh listen to your own advice seaweed brain" Annabeth shush-remanded him. He mad a low noise of pain but shut up.

"What now?" frank asked

"Bad things" Gaea's voice boomed, she chuckled evilly but then stopped abruptly.

"Where was I?" She asked

"You were saying that you were going to let us go now" Leo explained to her "right beauty queen?"

"Oh! YES! " Piper said quickly, but she was too surprised to be miffed about beauty queen comment. The invisible Gaea seemed to be momentarily confused before coming to her senses.

"Mmm, no. Oh! Oh yes I was going to come and-" Gaea began

Percy interrupted "kill, bargain, threaten, capture, scare, warn, blah blah blah all of the above?" Percy said sarcastically.

Gaea reappeared, nostrils flaring "I forgot how annoying you are Perseus."

"It's just Percy " Percy replied.

"I think I'll help you Perseus" Gaea said and then waved her hand. She disappeared, along with everyone's vines.

Everyone rose to their feet and stood, on edge and ready for attack.. They looked down and Leo asked

"Why is Percy still on the ground?"

Everyone turned to look at Percy who was indeed still on the floor.

"I.Can't move...?" He stated confused, before straining against invisible bonds.

Suddenly, Gaea chuckles somewhere behind them, startling Hazel who blushes and sheepishly says

"I forgot she was there."

"We have a special job for you" Gaea's body-less voice informs us

"Why does that make me think that this isn't going to end well?" Jason muttered.

"Because it isn't"  Gaea said smirking and with a wave of her hand, her presence and Percy disappeared from the ship.
