The Storm

"Ey!" Rose could hear Ray's voice from a mile away. Rose sat on the dock kicking her feet every few seconds, staring into the ocean and wondering what's below. She could just reach underwater now, explore what many thought to be impossible and come back out alive, and dry. However, Rose wasn't planning for that day, and knew that her job as the daughter of Poseidon was to guard the Ocean's kingdom as if it was her own home. And even though she never had a strong relationship with her father, she swore an oath to herself to protect his home no matter the cost. Even though she was just the simple farm girl living with horses and cows, she knows firsthand how dangerous the waters are.

Ray pants as she approaches Rose. "Storm.." she could hear Ray pant out as she tries to regain her breath. Meanwhile, Rose stands up. "Storm" isn't something you hear everyday, especially on a Tuesday evening at a camp where demigods learn how to be.. demigods. Or gods, if you really wanna work. The daughter of Heracules leaned back until she was able to catch her breath. While Ray got most of her strength from her father, (such as being able to carry a car,) she didn't get the speed or the stamina. "There's a storm coming for us.. monsters. everywhere. And it's not only headed for us, but also for the group out there!" Ray points west. The black haired girl presses her glasses to her nose before she continued, "We need to get Kay. Now."

Rose nodded and the two took off running- until Ray got too sore from running and Rose had to carry her on her back for a good 2 miles. Eventually, the two made it to Kay's office and Rose knocked on the door- or banged, if you may. Kay opened the door, as her tail trailed behind her. "What?" She asked visibly annoyed. Clearly asking your camp counselor at 6 in the morning if you can barge into her office and tell her about a catastrophic event wasn't on Kay's list. Nonetheless, she invited the two in as soon as Ray mentioned a storm. Kay closed the door behind her as she sat down with the two sitting on chairs in front of her. "What storm are we talking about?" Kay asked, slowly unveiling a map in front of them. "The one that killed Bryan, ma'am." Ray responded, her head hung low. Everyone in the room took a moment of silence to remember the event.

It was bright as day, until the monsters came. They wreaked open doors, shoved campers out, and killed them. Bryan was one of the many who hid. However, Bryan had relations to the leader of the monsters after Hera gave him the seductive rose. So when all of the monsters perished, the leader himself took Bryan'a arm, threw him out of his hiding spot, and demanded a fight right then and there. The two fought until it was night, but that's when the giant struck his dealing blow- destroy the camp or save the camp but not yourself. Bryan took a few moments to himself to remember the lives he could destroy. He remembered rumors of a Brazilian side of the camp coming to be. He remembered everyone he loved and everyone he lost. He knew he already broke his relationship with Kay- he couldn't do it with everyone else. "Kill me." He said somberly.

The giant laughed, a purple sky right above him as his laugh bellowed out. "Are you sure, young warrior? You actually bring up a pretty good fight despite being-" Bryan slapped him and grabbed him by the ear. "Kill. Me." He repeated again, this time into his ear. The giant whimpered for a second before pushing the already weakened Bryan away. By now, the rest of the campers have fled their cabins and tried finding a place to hide in the wild. Maybe his life can save those who are lost? Bryan smiled as the sound of the giant's laughter got close. "I will say this, young man." The giant said, the magick forming in his palm. Crimson red to represent blood, dark blue to represent the sadness that comes with death, the green fading to black to represent the life that will eventually rot. "For a son of Aphrodite, you do have a lot of selflessness." And with that, Bryan lost his life to keep the camp alive.

Kay was the first to glance up. "As we said, the storm that took Bryan is coming again. But I'm positive the leader was killed, was he not?" Kay asked, as Ray nodded. Rose continued sitting there, not sure what to actually do. She whistles a sailor tune before glancing at Kay once more. "They're gonna come to both us and Brazil." Rose said. Kay's eyes lit up. "How could they have known?!" Kay sighed. "This time, we won't let them in. Find protection spells, try getting in contact with the explorers. I don't care what we will have to do. If they want war, that is what they get. For Bryan, and for the camp." Kay stood up and slowly moved towards the door. "I will go make the announcement. Ray, go get Bailegh and search around the camp. Rose, go get Moon and send a com to the explorers down there. I'm counting on you both." Kay said. Rose nodded, and Kay only bowed her head. "Let's do this."

Moon and Rose approach the com room, which was added for the purpose of exploration tasks. Soren saw it as an important feature for the camp, especially if there's anything that the explorers must know. Soren, Bri, and Bryan flew around the world to place down the towers that will help with their devices' audio quality. But then, Soren left the camp to explore the world and take on his father.
Nobody heard anything else from him.
Rose examined the many buttons, before she flicked a few. The screen changed from pitch black to a light blue screen with the words "Choose your location" in white. Rose presser a few more buttons before a red screen replaced the blue one with the words "COMMUNICATION LOST" in full caps. Moon scratched her head, confused. What happened? Apparently Rose didn't know as she shrugged her shoulders and gazed at Moon.

"Oh great. We need to go get the others!" Moon yelled, before grabbing Rose's hand and began running. But the time they made it back to Kay's office, everyone was inside. The children of engineers were scrambling to build machines and other tools while the children of wisdom were all huddled together making strategic plans. Every now and then, a child of a war god would punch a wall or begin fighting with another war god child. So basically a nightmare in Kay's office. Rose and Moon pushes through all the kids before finding Kay and reported what happened. "Oh great." Kay responded, before she heard a bell ring. Everyone stopped moving as silence hung in the air. A young boy with white hair dove for the door, being the first to look out. "3 days." He muttered. Ross, Ray, Bailegh, Moon, and Kay all glance around each other. There was a war to be won.
