The Dream

There he stood. The champion of death. The audience's silence weighed on him like an elephant, as the young warrior glanced around the arena, until his eyes fell on a human like him. Black hair, skin as bright and shining as the sun itself, a yellow sash down the gorgeous white shirt he owns. His outfit contrasts his opponents, with his brown hair, silver chest plate with cracks and bent material around it. He wore a purple sash, representing him: the son of Hades. The two stood face to face, shock rising in them: two lifelong friends in the Underworld, now realizing that only one of them will make it into the Overworld.

"Wait- I cant fight him!" Frantic rises in the purple kid. "Please- bring me someone else!!" His voice cracks as he speaks, hot tears foaming in his eyes and slowly streaming down his face. Xylo has fought many- titans, satyrs, and even sparred with the god of the Underworld himself. However, a demigod like him- no. A brother like him is not who he wants to kill. Not who he wants to watch die. And have it be his fault. The son of Persephone sits above the young warriors, his face filed with nothing but boredom. Forced to just watch as two kids meddle with each other. He didn't know the relationship the two had.

The black haired kid glanced up at Xylo. Austin smirked- a distracted opponent. He didn't even hear Hades shout "START!" before his arrow was shot up into the air- and shot away from the other warrior's arrow. "Wait- Xylo?" Austin glanced down for a second, only to quickly dodge as an arrow whizzed past him. "Wait- no no no, this isn't happening!" The son of Apollo knew he was good at archery- him and the huntress' of Artemis were technically professionals at archery. But Xylo was as close as it gets. His skill rivaled those of both. Deadly accuracy, almost perfect perception. A year in the Underworld really brought out his hostility.

From the audience, Thanatos sits among some Aphrodite demigods. He watched as the two fought. It was his job to take care of the body after every battle. Rigged or not, Thanatos will always be the last to leave, carrying a dead body with him. As the god of Death itself, the one with the ability to kill anyone he touches, Thanatos wasn't surprised when everyone suddenly forgot him. After all, Hades was supreme. It was only obvious everyone would paint him as the god of death. Thanatos glanced down at his hands, that were slightly invisible. He knew that one day, he will just fade to dust and die. It's what happened with Pan not too long ago. Gods to it all the time- he only knew his spot will be replaced eventually.

Meanwhile, Xylo felt an arrow shoot into his chest plate and scratch his armor. He panicked, quickly taking the arrow out of the armor. Now, a deadly hole was in his spot. If the son of Apollo strikes in the hole, Xylo would die. He quickly takes out his spell book. He places his sword in his offhand. Only one will survive tonight. He swiftly dodged Austin's impaling attack and drives the sword into his stomach. Realizing what he has done, Xylo watches as Austin falls to the ground. The audience gasps, as the son of Hades falls too. "Austin! Austin, wake up! Please!!" Xylo out his head in Austin's wound. "Please don't die!! Not now.. please!"
Austin gasped. "It- it's what you wanted.." Austin weakly smiled as he glanced at his brother. "Take m-my head. Go to the Overworld.." Austin then closed his eyes. Xylo glanced down, before standing up. With one last scream, his sword moves down towards Austin'a neck.

And Xylo immediately wakes up in his own sweat. You're home. He repeats in his head. 5 AM, Monday morning. The day they sail. Xylo went outside and saw River practicing Ocean magic. Thanks to him and Ricarro, the ship should be able to sail towards the coast of Brazil, where they will start finding those like them- demigods. But children of Brazillian Pantheons. Hopefully, they will find them. An entire section for them is being built in Camp Oasis. Hopefully, they will see their achievement. And not have to live in fear for being killed by monsters. Like Riven-

"Xylo!"

Xylo turned around and his eyes were filled with shock. Ricarro runs at him, Momiji being lifted into the air. Instead of being surprised or asleep, Momiji was actually chuckling. Ricarro gently places her in front of Xylo, as he nods. Ricarro was an oddball, but knew the guy was pretty much head over heels for Momiji. "The shop's ready, isn't it?" Momiji asks, dipping her head as a way of saying hello. Xylo nods, turning his head to see River rocking the boat to the best of his ability. Him and Bryan were able to discuss things. River was able to come to the conclusion that there was someone else in his life he may need. However, he continued to stay in contact with Bryan as friends. Xylo sighed. Unfortunately, not everyone can go on the ship and into Brazil, since some people still had to watch over Camp Oasis. They were able to get 8 experienced magic users, but knew that everyone who wanted to participate would've ended up either sinking the ship, or getting everyone killed. Xylo glanced at River again and sighed. Soon, Jakey will come and join the crew. While the guy was a bit uneasy because of leaving them last year and basically saying false things about Xylo, but stil has hope for them. River will only be able to get the boat so far from the shore- Jakey will take over.

Solis was the last to get in the ship, as him and Ricarro went towards the front to hang out with Scar. Lychee and Davis kept a close eye on the two, before River nodded his head from the shore. "Stay safe, would you?" River chuckled, before using as much of the water's ability as he can to push the ship out and onto the sea. Everyone on the ship quickly grabbed onto the rails as the boat made its way towards the sea. "The ship is sailing!" Bri shouted, as Austin popped a rock into his mouth. Soon enough, everyone was out in the middle of nowhere. However, Jakey grinned. "The best thing about water," he started. Using his ability, the water around them froze over. "Is ice!" With Ricarro's strength, he jumped out of the ship. Using the ice so he doesn't fall into the water, he began pushing the ship. Soon, it was fast enough as everyone began gliding. Bri swooped down out of the ship, grabbed Ricarro, and made it back onto the ship with the others. Jakey continued using his abilities as the others began chatting about their destination: Brazil. Davis sighed, putting one arm over the seat he was sitting on. "I heard it rained there." He said. Austin's face turned pale. "R-rain?" Bri elbows him in the stomach. "You think we'll actually throw you out there?" She asked, chuckling. "I wouldn't give me ideas," Lychee muttered, before feeling someone's arm hit his.

Momiji popped open another bottle of sake 30 minutes into the adventure. She listened to the sound of the wind, as the ship continued sliding on the newly generated ice. Birds sailed overhead- everything was calm. Calm and quiet, the way Momiji was for all these years. She feels the mark on her neck and sighs. Things were mostly okay. However, she glanced at Ricarro and sighed. She should stop being so harsh on herself. After all, it was her ex's fault she was like this. Her whiskers caught some salt from the water now ice, as she sneezed. Maybe that was Earth telling her to stop doubting herself. After all, she was once a god and all that. She gulped down the sake and sighed. "Why didn't I get more?" She asked herself. She was now down to five, before slowly closing the bottle she had and placing it back into the cooler. She continued to listen to the calm breeze of the wind, and the sounds of seagulls overhead, imagining what it would be like in Brazil.
