Chapter 19 - Gone

So long, far well-

I'm not gonna write the rest of that song.

but like my family wants to go on a road trip.

To a place where THERE IS NO WIFI

I'm gonna die!!

I am a person of the first century who was born into preexisting trchnology.

When I could process life, there was internet.

They can't do this to me!!

And I get car sickness...

And its at least an 8 hour drive...

help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

o<(-_-)>o ;-; o<(-_-)>o ;-; o<(-_-)>o ;-; :-)

The news spread fast, really fast. A wildfire would fall in comparison. It was all over the Lightnet, everyone was shocked.

The majority of them angry, they did bet a huge sum of money on a favourable person, but.

They died.

That was the most shocking thing, and now there a girl standing there, looking clueless. Black smooth long hair, and crimson red eyes.

Iris challenged over a million of the strongest people all over the tower to fight her and betting was placed for even more excitement.

It was easy money to be made, just win your battle, or bet on people. Of course, people would be drawn to it. It's already used in other places, but this announcement was made by a well-known person, a slayer.

Though there actually an ex-slayer, nobody knew that, so she could still use her title. Besides her power would already draw people in.

But in the finals, she was defeated by an unknown person, wearing a cloak to conceal themselves.

A huge beam of light was shot directly at her, the humongous audience didn't see her doge, and if she teleported, they didn't see her appear anywhere else.

Amongst the audience was a familiar group who knew the girl.

Khun was happy she was shot, he was relishing in the moment. He only needed vengeance on Rachel, defeat his father and become head of the Khun family, then he'd be set for life.

"Don't interfere, guys, it's probably part of her schemes." He knew how powerful she was, he witnessed her fights, but said it as people from the group were about to stand up and follow the baby-face boy.

"But- but we have to help her. It's not right if we didn't." Bam said, going down the stairs that lead towards the arena.

"Ok, can't argue with that." He also stood up, following right after the brown-haired boy.

'But you just said not to.' the rest of the group thought, in sync.

Following there friends, they all went to the stadium.

The beam was gone, and a burnt trace of a person was there. But there was still a person alive, though they were not Iris. Sitting there was a confused young girl.

The battle was announced to be over, the winner was the cloaked person.

Eventually, they won the tournament, but nobody paid attention to that, they were all still shocked. Iris didn't appear anywhere else after. They all assumed she died, but then why was there a girl there.

It was one heck of a show, definitely worth watching.

The group was also very shocked.

As the unknown girl sat there, in one of the many arenas in the whole stadium. Bam walked up to her.

"Excuse me ms. but we're looking for the person who was here earlier. A girl, blond hair blue eyes." He said as he walked up the black hair girl. 'That sounded rude'.

"I- i don't know. One moment I'm somewhere else and now I'm here. There was a bright flash of light. I don't remember much besides that."

"I see-" But before he could finish his sentence, he black haired girl passed out.

Everyone didn't know what to do as they stood shocked. But Bam rushed to the girl's side, gently holding the girl by her shoulders.

"Should we help her?" Shibisu asked.

"No. Definitely no," Endorsi said turning away and walking back to the airship they took to get to the place.

"I agree, we can't just take a random person with us-" Khun started, but

"We have to help her," Bam said turning to the group, a look of determination in his eyes. And the group knew whenever he had that look, there was no stopping him. Not even Khun could.

Well, Khun was the most likely person not to stop him, even Endorsi had a better chance, with her bossy attitude.

"Ok, then let's get a move on. Hwaryun wants to discuss the hell train and stuff with us."

So they brought they unknown girl with them, not in the slightest thinking they were doing something like kidnapping.

As Shibisu drove the plane back to the place they were staying at, the unknown girl was still passed out. They got a nurse to check up on her, and he said everything was fine.

Yet she still remains unconscious on the bed.

"WHY ARE THERE MORE TURTLES!!!" A small crocodile shouted as he ran down the hall to the lounge room everyone else was sitting in.

When they came back, it was late and Hwaryun and the sweet and sour team have hit the hay, and are nay in available service.

"Oh it's-" Bam was going to explain, but Khun beat him to it.

"None of your damn business you stupid crocodile."

"I SEE HOW IT IS! YOU BROUGHT YOUR GREAT LEADER RAK MORE PREY TO HUNT!"

"Shut it! I'm trying to paint my nails you purse material."

"That's offensive you witch. Your green ugly skin would be perfect purse material."

"Rude! I could say the same about you, you're the one with ugly witchy green skin."

"Guys! Guys! Be quiet! I think I just got a checkmate! I finally won against Hatz!"

"First of all, we're playing checkers, not chess. Second of all, I won, you have no more pieces left. That means you lose, making the score 75 - 0."

"You tricked me!! You picked a game you knew you would win!!" Shibisu whined.

"I did not. You are the one who suggested we play this and make a competition."

"I did? I don't recall that, but I do recall you doing that."

"I'm going to my room," Hatz sighed and left, "I'm done dealing with this crap."

"Oh is the great Harakiri backing down. I thought you were supposed to be honourable and stuff. You're just as weak and pathetic as I thought."

"Shut up earrings! No one asked for your unwanted opinion. You are the real pathetic person here, getting disowned and outcasted by your own family."

"He does have a point," Endorsi said, she was barely paying attention to the conversation as she painted flower designs on the nail tip.

"They both have a point, you stupid witch."

"It's getting hot in here!" Shibisu yelled, ready to yell 'Fight! Fight! Fight!'

"YOU ALL ARE WEAK TURTLES COMPARED TO THE GREAT RAK WRAITHER-"

But the bickering all got louder. Bam sighed, as he was one of the few who were not arguing.

Well, he was the only conscious one not arguing. Laure was asleep, as usual. The mysterious unknown girl was in a coma. And anyone else was sleeping in a whole different vicinity.

'They always do this. Just like old times' Bam thought, a small smile made his way to his face.

Hatz walked away annoyed, though it seemed as he stormed off. Khun crossed his arms and turned his head in disapproval. He didn't want to also walk away to his room as the bedrooms were all in the same area, which means they would awkwardly walk toward their own rooms.

Laure kept sleeping, on the floor where Hatz left him in the dissing battle, it was not a 'disagreement' it would have been an all-out war zone.

Hatz awkwardly walked back into the room, ignoring eye contact with Khun, and exiting faster than Brexit was enacted.

Bam snickered at the whole fiasco but was masked with the volume of Rak's small body having the ability to shout so loud.

Endorsi and Anaak continued their niece and aunt argument, and Shibisu...

Good old Shibisu...

He got super pumped and started chugging alcohol, hoping everyone else would too. To hype everyone up.

Now he was drunk, and no one else was.

And he was adding wood to the fire.

Metaphorically and physically.
